~grins~ Fakey! I do agree that having an education helps out a lot, it is just that people can make it even without an education. ~sighs~ Unfortunalty, the odds against you increase if you do not have an education.

BTW, Fake Healer and Lilith, how are you enjoying the copies that I sent you?

~grins~ Good going, Lilith! Is there anything else that you want me to copy from the book? ~grins sickly as I imagine the tortures that the Great Demon Queen of Vituals and Brain Devouring looks upon me~ Your humble servant is more than willing to copy ***ANYTHING*** you want me to!!!

I think I'm gonna try out the Gully Dwarf Stew and sub the lizard meat with Alligator meat (prepped in a crock-pot, otherwise it's too tough). I don't think I need anything else copied. I haven't forgotten to send you my thanks, I just got roped into DMing for a few weeks while my DM is in Isreal visiting family and haven't had time to think. I will be sending something in a couple weeks.
Do you use minis in your games, Sharoth?

Fakey,

No thanks were needed. I am just glad that you like what I sent. I was also checking up to see if it was what you wanted. As for minatures... Yes, we use them. If you had said brains, I would have said "No!", since Lilith the Lilithid has drained them all away! Also, tell me how it works with the gator meat. One of my friends brought some to Guys night and he fried it! All I can say is "YUMMMMMMMYYYYY!!!!!"

B.A. in public relations last year from Arizona State University. I graduated with honors and earned a spot on the National Dean's List for 2005. I had some excellent job offers from both local and national companies, but instead, I joined the Army. Now I'm a paralegal specialist for the Army's JAG Corp. And please don't ask me why, because I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. Seriously though, it's a rewarding job and I'm happy to serve.

However I wouldn't say that education level is a meaningful predictor of intelligence. I do a lot of hiring in the tech industry and I tend to hire people with a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience over a master's degree. I think the technical fields tend to be this way.

You don't need a piece of paper to be an educated individual.

At least that's my line and I intend to stick with it.

I finished compulsory education with good grades and I've always wanted to go to university but somehow life has always managed to get in the way of my formal education.

When my thesis advisor retired the next year, I switched degree programs, took another year of (suddenly very easy!) courses, and another set of Comps.

Being a DM is good training for teachers. Good teachers and good DMs are able to make things entertaining, clear, organized, without forcing people to see and do things your way.

Mathematical finance is using mathematics to price financial contracts (like stock options, commodity futures and other financial derivatives [link]).

That might be what Mormegil's degree is in, but "finance" is a pretty broad category.
