Just looking for an update on when/if thumbnail pictures would be available for the Map Packs. There was some talk about it last year, but no info since. With the line ever-expanding (pre-orders, FTW!), it's hard to decide which Packs to get without some kind of basis for comparison. (We really can't buy 'em all, unfortunately.)
I've posted on two diff threads about getting images of these on the site, but I've gotten no responses.
The most recent info about this issue came from Vic about a month ago, where he essentially said the art dept was too backed up to go through their archives for images to post.
Can any fans who've bought these maybe pick up Paizo's slack and post small images of the map packs on a photobucket (or other similar site) acct?

Ah, that sucks. But given the rate that they're whipping things out, I s'pose it's not wholly unexpected. If they're still planning to try, that's good enough for now, I guess.

Not to be a prude about it, but I think that would probably push into copyright-violation territory. If the artists & publishers agree to put some kind of low-res, unusable-for-printing thumbnail on their website, that's okay, as is posting a sample from each pack with a review. But if somebody just scanned all their cards and posted them online, IMO that would be *exactly* the thing to dissuade the Paizo folks from doing the (more useful to more people) complete set of thumbnails.
If they can do it, just "not yet", that's not too bad. Now if they make up for the delay with some PDF versions, as well...

I would be willing to show some thumb nails if you like. I have every set they have made and I'm "sort of" a graphic whiz (as in, why am I buying these and not making them myself??). If you like I can start with a set of your choice. You won't be able to get much more than the jist of it, because I believe that higher res copies over the internet would lead to....well... you know.
Cheers,
Zuxius
After you see these, you can ask questions too. So fire away.
I'm specifically interested in the Caverns set and the Dungeon Chambers (both are in my cart right now, but I'm on the fence!)
Again, not looking for anything that would step on Paizo's toes, just a few small sized images to know how they look and to get an idea of what combinations I could make.
One question I have, (using these for 4th ed,) how are they as far as having interesting terrain features? (thinking of things like cover, etc.) WotC's Dungeon Tiles seem to lack consideration for these things. (Ok, I think I saw a giant chair in the new set...)

Oooh, the caverns were pretty good actually. I think that would be the first set that would justify a rebuy, such as Dungeon Tiles. I have three sets of every Dungeon Tiles (as well). I will get cracking on this for you. It appears there is no way to put Images up on this messageboard, but I have an old place that they forgot to shutdown...and it will suffice for our purposes....

Ok, here it is, the Thumbnails for Caverns.
First, I have not asked for formal permission to display or copy the works copyrighted under Paizo, so if they tell me to take it down, down it goes! I have no opinion either way to their decision.
Second, I used to own a fairly decent scanner, but this mini scanner is the pits (in my opinion). There are a lot of things lost in scanning, as well as a lot of things highlighted that isn't wanted from the printed source. Therefore, these scans are definitely not the same as what you would see from the printed source. My goal is not to recreate these pictures, but rather to have the images previewed in a thumbnail manner that will yield little or no use in actual game application.
Lastly, my scans are not consistent in color, size or even brightness as you will find in the actual printed product. If it appears that the colors look terrible or the size is wrong or even the prints do not match in shade or consistency, it is all my scanners fault. I will tell you now as I look at these source prints, that they are much greater in consistency of color than you are about to see.
And now, Thumbnails of Gamemastery's Caverns. Enjoy the preview. I have also reviewed this product here. If you are curious, this project took me 2 hours and 20 mins.
I had no idea it would take so long! They do look cool, but I must admit I was looking for areas of bigger size, rather than corridors, but I still can probably make use of this set.
Does this set join well with the Dungeon Chambers set?

Well, I think Dungeon Chambers would be a whole other beast actually. The caverns are really their own thing. I think you would be better off using Dungeon Tiles to lead into Dungeon Chambers, rather than the caverns. The maps in Dungeon Chambers are fairly pristine in comparison to the caverns. The caverns could have been dug out by an Umber Hulk, but Dungeon Chambers are more like something you would find in a dwarvish city or in the bottom of castle or Wizard's tower. I really don't see a connection between the two (Caverns & Dungeon Chambers).
Interestingly by your comment, the Dungeon Chambers are incredibly roomy in comparison to Caverns. They even use four cards to make a fairly long large room. They have two such areas. I will get that one up in the next few days. I think in someways the printing quality is better too. It has a higher res look to it.
I apologize for any trouble this event may have caused. I am also rather submissive in this as I would do anything you guys ask me to do. My only desire is to show how fantastic this product is. I am not sure if this preview does good or bad, because I really do not like the images I have created. They do not do the product justice, but they do give everyone an idea of what the product looks like.
I really do not want to be considered a problem or even a footnote in a meeting that would cause you guys to talk about anything else other than your plans for future products. Please don't bring up "This guy on the internet that posted Map Pack...." I want to be known as the guy that did Paizo a lot of good, not the one that caused a lot of trouble. If this has to be discussed at any level, consider these images GONE!
