I have a quick question. I like the map packs. Does anyone have any ideas how to store the map packs? I would like to be able to pick out one map pack to use if I am preparing an encounter. Right now everything is in a precarious stack, with the cover cards separating one map pack from another. I think the only reason my leaning tower of map pack cards has survived this long, is because I don’t have a cat. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hey! Me too! [sorry, no suggestions]

You might try using ziploc bags. Besides keeping all of one type together, it protects them also. The Quart size or larger is what you will need.

Just my 2 cp.

Silverhair 2008 you are a genius. Thank you. I think that might be just the solution

You know that you can get 5 by 8 index card holders that will hold all the map cards

Capt Kristov, and Ms. Stevens, Thank you both. Ill head down to Staples and get some 5x8 index card holders. Are these 5x8 index card holders like the plastic sheets that one would use to store collectable cards in and put in a binder? Or would you then store them in an index card like box?

I had another thought. I know that some people have been asking for spell cards. I remember you mentioned that one thing stopping you was the sheer verbiage of the spell descriptions, and the challenges of fitting all of that on a card. Why not use a bigger card? Why not use the Map Pack sized cards to make spell cards? There might be enough space to print the text of a spell on one of those cards. Anyways that’s just a thought.

Again thanks for the 5x 8 index card holder suggestion.

I think I get what you mean here (I have a picture in my head), but the link is only good for the USA, so who knows whether that picture is right.

That said, it is a great idea and I will be heading down to our stationary shop with some maps in hand to see if I can find something.

search a local stationary website for "5x8 index card holder" or "index Card Storage" and look for 5x8 ones... (not sure what 5x8 inches is in metric) it looks like a more sturdy shoe box almost... depending on how much you want to pay, they come in cardboard, plastic, or metal

If you`re getting the same message I am, where it asks for a postal code in the US, then just do what I do and use 90210. Like from the TV show. so long as you don`t plan to order off the site, it seems to grant access to every site that`s asked me for one so far.

I use hanging file folders. I have the flipmats and the map packs in the same place. I also have my Dungeon Tiles in a 6 drawer plastic stackable thingy with wheels. I keep track of all my tiles by using color markers on their. Overall, I can get everything back to where it goes.

That is such a cool idea...I will definately remember it.

I found something on a local website...will wander down this afternoon with maps in hand and have a look.

I use expanding files like these protected when you bring them to games

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Ill get myself down to a stationary store and see what i can find.

I am late to this party, but I have also seen someone with a binder and 5" x 8" document protectors. It basically looked like a small size 2" binder. He stored related cards (like the four cards that make up a floor of the wizards tower) in one protector. I don't know which method is better, but some people might prefer this.

Andoran (Pathfinder Charter Superscriber)

I used rubber bands... but after reading this I think I've found a new solution. Index card box ftw!

Does anyone tape the panels together?
