In conjunction with King of the Castle, Paizo is pleased to announced our latest GameMastery accessory line: Campaign Coins—minted coins perfect for use with any fantasy roleplaying game!

We'll be introducing them in December in eight different packs:

Copper (1, 2, 5)
Copper (10, 50, 100)
Silver (1, 2, 5)
Silver (10, 50, 100)
Gold (1, 2, 5)
Gold (10, 50, 100)
Platinum (1, 2, 5)
Platinum (10, 50, 100)

Packs contain four coins of each denomination, for a total of 12 coins.

ooh shiny.

Very cool

They're a dollar per coin? Real money doesn't even cost that much.

Can we get an avatar of the two copper piece for when we need to add our opinion to a thread?

Heheh, but this money you get to use over and over again.

You can use real coins at your table for less than this IF you can trust your players not to steal your real coins.

A dollar per coin is a bit steep. 15% off with Pathfinder Advantage might be handy, but even at $0.85 per coin, it's still a bit high.

As you probably know, manufacturing costs are affected tremendously by volume. It turns out that the size of our Campaign Coins run will not approach the volume of coinage minted by a national treasury.

Surprising, isn't it?

So you're not planning to supplant the US Economy?

Are these part of the Gamemastery subscription?

We have two GameMastery subscriptions: GameMastery Cards and GameMastery Maps. These coins are not a part of either of those lines.

How will these be different from their regular coins? What will be specifically Golarion about them?

I found their booth at GenCon and ended up getting a handful of the coins then. They are very, very, very well made. Heavy, excellent casting and great appearance. I met the guy running the booth the evening before the show, and found him to be extremely nice and full of information. (Also a PFS fan, who wrangled time to be away from the booth to play some scenarios.)

Good product and good experiences with the folks responsible.

Good question. Are these "Coin of the Realm"?

To start with, we will just be repackaging their basic coins. But down the line, we would really like to start doing coins of Golarion. But first things first, we need to get the basic line of coins out and in stores.

I see, the ole Aussie has teamed up with Paizo marketing clout. Interesting smithers. If you guys have a big sale on the old packaged coins, I AM THERE!

I would buy some (Loads really) if they were of coinage that could be recognised by the players, i.e. City of greyhawk coinage or forgotten Realms coins.

Makes more sense to me. :)

Maybe mixed bags of Greyhawk Currency. i.e. different coins from different cities within the one campaign setting. And the same for Eberron and the Realms etc. worth a thought. I take it that the only stumbling block would be WotC?
