Can we get a regular Paizo based podcast soon? It would be great to hear a show focused on not only Pathfinder but the gaming and fiction industries in general.

This is a great idea.
Unfortunately, we don't know anyone around here who does this sort of thing.
Some day, we will more than assuredly have our own podcast. Some day. But not until we are caught up on our products and I see people going home before midnight and don't hear about them working on the weekends. There is a strong interest in doing this at Paizo, but again, we are already working too hard, so it will have to wait until we have more time.

Fan-based podcasts regarding rpgs and other "cult" phenomenon are easy to do and take the perspective of the fans in mind, too.
Savvy fan-based podcasts sometimes have interviews with big shots or celebs from the companies or whatever that they are interested in, so direct Paizo input could happen over time.
I would rather see a fan-based podcast, so that fans could have a hand in expressing themselves, too and also so that Paizo has the time to produce games, etc.
At the rate that Customer Service gets back to you (I have been waiting 4 days for a return phone call on an incorrect order issue) I think Paizo has enough on its hands and little time to create podcasts LOL
Instead of asking someone else to do it, I think the fans should take initiative and do it themselves :)
just my 2 cents worth.

And while you're waiting for the official podcast, please enjoy these humble offerings in the meantime:
(Check out the Pathfinder cartoon strip halfway down the page. Why is there a diminutive mushroom cloud chatting up Seoni and Valeros? Long story...)
* Our Gen Con '09 Coverage which is really quite Paizo intensive. We spoke with Paizo every day and posted a bunch of videos from the Paizo booth up on Facebook. We talk to and film... well everyone. (You may have to sign up as a fan of Atomic Array on our Facebook fan page to see the videos. Not sure. I'll ask Ed to batch them all in one place.)

Yeah, Atomic Array did some pretty cool ones, which I have listened to :) (Good job, BTW)
I have an old high school buddy that worked on the Fear the Boot podcast and I know from his tales that they are definitely labors of love and fun too!

Thanks, Adelwulf. :)

They absolutely are. Labors of love, fun, and of course, actual LABOR! ;) Man can it take a long time to mix these things.
I've actually developed a repetitive stress injury I'm calling Podcast Shoulder. Over the last five months, I haven't even been able to sleep on my right side. I've taken steps to try and maintain better form while mixing. One of my problems is that I have immovable deadlines and so I laser focus on what I'm doing, so much so that I pay no attention to pain messages to the brain. It's easy to forget to eat too, but not so much so that I'm dropping any pounds over here. Shame, there goes my Podcast Away the Pounds workout program for QVC.

Wait, you filmed me?! I didn't sign a waiver for that!

All I got was some footage of your chest as you spoke. Since your torso didn't have any speaking lines and no discernable face, union rules say I neither have to pay you nor acquire a signed waiver.

"Shake that chest, SHOW ME WOTCHU WORKIN' WITH!"
Well, given the population of GenCon, I guess you could have picked much more "buxom" male chests to film, so I am flattered you decided to capture mine for posterity. Please properly credit me before placing it in the time capsule.

Can anyone ever truly capture your chest? Oh, The majesty of it. The ideal form, almost like medieval italian parade armor built to make a man look more like a man, with fluted steel ribs and gracile curvatures that draw only flattering shadow. Sages could boil together in heady incense for a gray moon's age and still bear only a gossamer comprehension of its radiance. Thank you, sir. From the bottom of the heart that ticks in this lesser chest, thank you for all you've done for chestdom.
I'm sure you're used to odes like this... but you'd not heard mine.

Is that an emoticon or a love of eights?
And Mairkurion, have I yet to compose a sonnet in celebration of your phenomenal shins?

Well this is good timing. I've been working on a Pathfinder-focused spin-off of 3.5 Private Sanctuary for over a month now. Technical gaffs and some other delays meant this episode is two weeks late, but the Fan Generated Pathfinder RPG news, reviews, and interviews podcast Know Direction debuts today with Know Direction - Episode 1. Episode 2 should be out before the end of September, Episode 3 by mid-October, and then we start our monthly schedule.

I'd like to happily report that I have listened to all of the first Know Direction and was very happy with it. There's was lots of good stuff in there.
They covered the Pathfiner RPG Core Rules for over an hour. I would love to have that SAME topic covered with several other people. It's really great to hear some in depth coverage of the book from 3.5 experts and some (self-professed) not-so-experts.
I read in their forums they had planned on having several other people to chat with about the book. The interview was in depth and details which I really liked also though.
Thanx!
