You've asked for T-shirts, and we're going to give them to you! Each month, we'll run a few designs for new T-shirts past you and ask you to make a pledge to buy any that you like. Once we have enough pledges, we'll print the shirts, send you an email with a link to the product, and ask you to purchase the T-shirt that you pledged to buy. This is totally on the honor system, but we trust you to honor your word. If any T-shirt doesn't get enough pledges, we will discard that design. Hopefully, this will give you the T-shirts that you want and allow us to try new things without taking the financial risk that printing the T-shirts would present. So go ahead and pledge away!

Update! Two of the T-shirts are now available for preorder, with delivery expected in July.

Gidday all
Fighter for me eh! While I also was taken aback by the price, I was amused enough by the way the dump stats were covered to consider buying one. Like others colour is an issue. If black is the only option, PASS. Also a proper fighter shirt needs a DWARF on it.

I'll pass on the black for now...I have enough black gamer t-shirts to be thoroughly misunderstood by the media. ;-)

YOU BE RIGHT! Sounds more gobliny.

Fighter for me.

I would love to pledge to buy one of those T-shirts. But not until you offer 4XL or 5XL.

I completely agree! Why did you guys change the wording? Now it makes less sense. Using "be" in the rest of the poem only to change it in the last line is just odd. I had to say "no" because of it.

I'll vote for the Goblin shirt if it has the 'Ten Fun Facts About Goblins' from Burnt Offerings on the back of it.

Goblins and Iconics for the win! :)

Don't worry, we will use the "we be goblins - you be food" text if there are enough pledges for the shirt. But I am not going to ask the art directors to change the text for the image on the website, because they are really, really busy right now. So don't worry, the text will be the one that you know from Burnt Offerings.

Thanks!

You aren't going to see 2-sided shirts any time soon, since they add another $2 to $3 to the cost to make them.

-Lisa

I love them all really. Other colors would be nice as well, say Gray. I love gray. Now if there was a tee of a paladin human or elven, minus magna ears, that would be cool. Or a "I smite villiany in the name of <place varisian god's name here>.

Personally, I would like to know if the shirts are Eco-friendly before considering buying one. Would paizo consider organic cotton or sweat shop free? Also, I second that as a gamer I would like to see less black tees.

OK, I broke down. Although I'm not crazy about black, those Goblins are just too awsome.

omg hai 2 evry1!!!

Stopping in with my own feedback:

- I did not vote. Is PayPal a viable payment option yet? I may vote-pledge in later offers if it is.
- The Goblin design is awesome and I want it. I don't want it on the front of the shirt. Because then I end up staring at the people staring at my shirt. I'm more likely to buy something with a graphic on the back than the front.
- In extension to that, I'm more likely to buy a zip-up hoodie than a t-shirt.
- I'm more likely to buy tones and shades of either green or blue than white, black, grey, or other colours.
- Can it be sold in some other format instead? I'm thinking something that can be pinned up around the office and ordered in small collections, but not a calendar because that's just lame and cliché.

Not directly, but PayPal has a "Secure Card" program that lets US customers create single-use MasterCard numbers that function just like a MasterCard from our side, but draw from your PayPal account on your side.

Anything for Canadian customers?
PayPal barfed on me when I tried getting the service. :/

Not as far as I know. I heard rumors of testing internationally, but I don't really know where it stands.

My vote is for the goblin t-shirt (especially since I missed out on the older version).

1. I'd have to agree that the "we be goblins, you be food" is the way to go.
2. Hope the lettering is readable. Hard to tell on the picture how it'll show up on the actual shirt.
3. $25 is awfully steep and is the reason I regrettably won't be able to actually pledge to buy one. I have a hard time paying even $15 for a t-shirt and if I do, it has to be a high quality shirt that'll last. I can get a good dress shirt for $25! If the color is causing the price increase, go back to a single color image and perhaps a different shirt color (a nice sage...er, goblin green?)
4. I do like the idea of letting people vote and give feedback before you offer a product.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

Paizo golem shirt.

I have kids and the white shows stains to well and my wife has a white cat and the blacks show that too. I would much prefer other colors or a light gray or something neutral. But would buy goblins and fighter.

I know this wouldn't fly, but the style and design I would prefer would be a collared shirt with a simple design on one of the breasts. Something like the Pathfinder RotRL star symbol or something else neutral that would be appropriate for work. I keep a vest at work to hide many of my inappropriate heavy metal shirts (on the days I forget), so adding something with just a cool symbol would be great.

Unfortunately, the price break for something like this of quality would be ~$40-50, so I don't see it in the future at all - but I can dream, can't I?

Paizo Employee (Technical Director)

Good news, everyone!

We've received enough pledges for all three designs, so all three shirts are now available for preorder!

Paizo Golem T-Shirt
Pathfinder: Goblins T-Shirt
Pathfinder: Valeros (Fighter) T-Shirt

We'll collect preorders for a little while so that we can get estimates of the popularity of each size, and then we'll have them printed for you, so it will be a few weeks before they're available.

Me three, actually. We will experiment with other t-shirt colors for the next designs. However, in my years in the game industry, any t-shirt color other than black is the mark of death. Guess we will find out with our other t-shirt color experiment. If you want to see more non-black t-shirts, then please order our non-black t-shirts when we put them out. Otherwise, I will be doomed to a shelf of black t-shirts. <sniff>

How will the T-shirt pre-orders work with the Pathfinder subscriber discount? I know you want pre-orders so you know how many to order and in what size, but can we still get the subscriber discount (which usually does not apply to pre-ordered items)?

I just ordered and got a discount. Your mileage may vary.

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

Just added it to my cart and yes it appears the discount is applied.

Once again - Paizo Rocks!

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

The discount's showing up on my order too... The only problem I'm having is the shipping. $8.85 by USPS?!? Huh? Is the shirt made out of lead? I mean, 9 bucks? For USPS?

Kvantum wrote:

I checked on this and here is what I got.

These shirts cost the same as others on paizo.com

They are over a pound and not bound printed matter.

Because of that it kicks the package into a category not convenient, nor inexpensive, to ship.

Andoran (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Battles Case Subscriber)

As a side note about the shipping, and just to encourage Paizo sales, if you end up ordering two of the shirts and having them ship together, the shipping costs barely change at all.

I guess since one of them bumps it into a larger category, adding the second one's weight doesn't change too much. Shipping for both mine together was still only $8.33

Then can I just combine it with my normal Pathfinder subscription for the month? I mean, yeah, that'll kick it up to 8.85 as normal, but that's basically just 4.50 more than the normal monthly shipping total.

Paizo Employee (Technical Director)

We've added more accurate shipping weights to the shirts. That, combined with the fact that postal rates have changed as of today, means that the shipping costs on the shirts have changed—in many (or even most?) cases, for the better.

Kvantum wrote:

Currently, you can't add non-subscription products to subscription shipments, but it's in the works for the future!

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

$6.49's quite a bit better than the previous just shy of $9. Still wish there was a way to combine any and all orders from Paizo in with the normal subscription shipments, though.

We're working on it. But there is no time table. However, it is near the top of the list if we can ever get some unfettered time for Gary to program. <sigh>

I'm going to get the Paizo Golem. For the next batch, can we please get both a Queen Illosa and Sabine T-shirt, and one of the lovely Lisa Stevens? ;)

I like the design of the Valeros shirt, but I'm not much of a "Fighter" fan. If there were a "Kyra" tee, I'd be all about that. I'm a big fan of Clerics... Hopefully the next batch may go this way?...

i'll go with the goblins and the golem

Sadly, less than 30% of the people who pledged their support for the Valeros T-shirt actually placed an order for it; that's not enough to break even on the cost, so we have canceled it.

The Golem and Goblins T-shirts, which will each be limited to a single print run, will be available in July.

Can we shift orders for Valeros to goblins, or will extra shirts be printed other than pre-orders?

I'm sorry to hear that. I pledged but have been unable to preorder due to some temporary financial difficulties.

Maybe next time around... :(
