I will no longer be continuing with any discussions here at Paizo. I am disgusted by the treatment they give to anyone that rightfully has anything against WotC and/or 4th Edition and I am tired of the censorship of freedom of speech.

To be threatened with suspension for merely displaying facts and opinions without insulting anyone in particular unforgiveable. Why is Paizo kowtowing to WotC is beyond my comprehension, but I am tired of people like myself being told to shut up or else yet the TRUE FLAMERS here are getting away with what they're doing.

I am talking about the ones who catch feelings and cry and whine whenever someone has a strong dislike or opinion about something else. Then they bash that poster and, eventually, everyone else ends up doing the same thing and it suddenly makes what they're doing right and what the poster did wrong when it's obviously the opposite.

I received a very nasty email with false accusations and threats from a staff member here at Paizo and it's my final straw. You have become as bad, if not worse, than WotC Forums and ENWorld forums.

I will continue my search for another forum that doesn't cater to WotC, 4th Edition, or anyone who flames others for having opinions instead of learning to agree to disagree. Maybe I will create my own forums, call it "Gygax Legacy" or "True D&D" and it'll be a place where everyone can say what they want, negative or positive, about anything (especially 4E and WotC) and not get banned or warned for it --- as long as they don't attack other posters.

Simple.

That's an ideal message board for me, not here any longer. It seems the 4E-lovers won again, but I won't go down easily. I will find a home for us anti-4e to vent and discuss without fear of reprimandation.

Goodbye.

Sign o' the times...

See you later Razz!

So...you're leaving because you can't rant and rave at people who play a different game than you?

Blog Razz! Blog!

So much drama on these boards lately...

Good luck with that anti-4e forum thingie. I'm sure you'll enjoy being able to bash 4e all you like!

EDIT: I also like that Razz posts 4 minutes after the goodbye spiel.

My idea is to deny him the attention that he craves.

Kay. Bye, Razz.

Suspects this is yet another trolling attempt and will just leave it at that.

Are you saying he doesn't deserve the same attention Frank Trollman was given? He's a person too! HE HAS RIGHTS!

Yah that was right here. Linked for posterity. Okay, up a few posts from Sebastian's.

He just posted 6 minutes after this violin-accompanied manifesto on Sebastian's thread.

Oh no. Maybe he'll come back.

Shhhh! Everyone quiet!

Why, is this a surprise party, now?

Braaaaap!

sorry, dude.

Now ill admit im not a supporter of 4th edition (Not to my tastes) but ive never had the mods get on at me for not likeing it and i have to say that its rather ironic saying a message board is towing the WOTC line when there not even going 4E. Simple point is at the end of the day going on rants when every one else is trying to have a discusion really dosent help things much.

Taldor (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Modules Subscriber)

That is too bad, Razz. Perhaps, though, it is for the best since I trust that PAIZO handled you with professionalism, as they handle all other things.

Here I am, Razz, someone who holds many of your views and yet, I don't feel the 4e folks have "won", nor do I feel like any kind of outcast myself. I have made very similar comments on these boards to yours, but perhaps it has not been your views that have led to this end - but instead the manner in which you communicate.

Because messageboards aren't the kind of thing that you win or lose at. I believe 4e is a testament of greed, and defilement of history and tradition, and a break of faith with much of the dnd community - yet, I don't display any anger toward other people who post here, regardless of their views.

I wish you could do the same. I hope you can take a breath and patch up your differences with the PAIZO staff, and this messageboard community. And I really hope you return here soon and continue posting. I think you are very passionate about Gygaxian fantasy rpgs and there are many who can still learn a lot from you.

Please reconsider. Its never as bad as it seems. Few things in life cannot be mended. To truly hold the line, and share one's beliefs sometimes means extra doses of patience, and a whole lot of pride swallowing. But we're all different, Razz, and everyone deserves respect, yourself included.

Whatever you choose, the rest of us will still be here because we believe PAIZO and the PAIZO messageboards represent some of the highest quality of persons, ideas, and products in the fantasy role playing industry.

Please don't leave this flagship. This is where your Gygaxian d&d truly continues. But if you must leave... remember that it need not be forever.

Take care, whatever you choose, Razz.
-Pax-

Dude, that's a lot of hate and angst you have bottled up there. A company took their product in a direction you don't like. Get over it. I have a lot of issues with Wizards change in direction as well and I'm not happy with what they did to their forums. My reaction to this is I don't spend money on their products and I don't go to their forums anymore.

What are your anti 4e rants going to do other than make the Paizo site a less pleasant place for everyone? Let the 4e folks play 4e in peace.

Don't be a hater.

Cheliax (Bella Sara Charter Superscriber)

Try and find some better meds while you're out. You've got a distorted view of reality and something of a paranoid persecution complex.

Seriously. Meds. They will help.

This statement was true. The posts were suppressed.

Has to be a troll. Or, the way he's presenting his opinions MUST be way off, because I have never had any love of 4e on these boards but I've never been warned or banned in any fashion. I was just allowed to speak my peace. In fact, this is the one place I CAN do that nowadays, so I find this whole post bewildering.

-DM Jeff

I'd say that I'm going to miss you.

But I won't.

So...

Don't let the door smack your arse on the way out.

We're serious about our rules in the 4E threads. Name-calling is instant post-suppression, whether or not you're doing so on the way out the door.

Thank you for leaving Razz. I'm tired of everyone complaining about 4e. There's nothing wrong with Paizo deciding to continue coming out with new products. (Which most of the time are freakin' amazing!!) I personally can't wait to recieve my set of the 4e core rulebooks.

You're a cruel man telling him that a cortex bomb is a helpful cyborg implant.

Very cruel.

You're forgetting about the placebo effect. The cortex bomb could be helpful, you never know.

Indeed, so much anger is not healthy. Especially over a game. Smell the flowers, take your girlfriend for dinner, play with kittens. Seriously, I want you to enjoy the world once more.

Bye.

Well, I guess I should start posting here to fill the gap

Razz, might I suggest you study the works of Epictetus? Specifically, Book Two, Chapter Two might help you deal a bit more with things that are beyond your power to change...

Wow Razz...I am not a fan of 4e AT ALL, or is that AT WILL, and I do not support it, but that was really lame.

Is this one serious, or is it another joke thread... It's hard to tell these days. Oh well...

I think you need a sense of humor to make a joke...

Oh no, I take 4 hours off the boards to eat pizza and work on my "Temple of Elemental Evil/Scourge of the Slavelords/Queen of the Spiders 3.5 Conversion" and I miss all the drama!

Darn my obsessive need to actually game with the system I like rather than engage in rabid arguments with gamers of other systems!

I want to see the original post! ;)

But seriously, Razz, you were entitled to your opinion, but if Paizo saw fit to suppress your post, you should seriously reconsider what you said or the way you said it. Think of this as the opportunity to learn and grow.

(Pathfinder Campaign Setting Charter Superscriber)

Razz, you never bothered me w/ your posts.

I just never understood why you didn't stay away from the 4E forums. You're not going to change the opinions of those who want to play it. And nobody was forcing you to play it or discuss it. We get that you don't care for it (it's not my cup of tea either, but to each their own).

There were tons of other forums here at Paizo for you to indulge in. Paizo is sticking w/ the version of the game you love. Why not enjoy what they're doing and ignore what Wizards is doing. Just let go of the anger at something you can't change or control; it's not healthy, and ultimately pointless.

I know some people are glad to see you go, but again, I understood where you were coming from. Take some time off and come back and enjoy the stuff that's there for you to enjoy. Which is plenty :)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

And the board becomes a little less suffused with DRAMA... until the next topic of strident conversation. Should be coming along any minute now that it's the top of the hour.

Wait; is this satire? Seriously, I can't tell, because there was just a post *exactly* like this that was a joke.

Edit: Ok, after reading the thread, you are apparently serious. I hope things get better for you.
