Anyone have an opinion on this? I've always liked the thief-acrobat...

My opinion that this product is the best thing since sliced bread, but I feel my opinion might be tainted because I worked on it. Most people who purcahsed it have seemed to like it. So I say take a chance and see if you like it. Hey, you never know? Thanks for the interest and support.

can anyone tell me a bit about the class?

Hello,

I just purchased it a little bit ago. After reading, I think it is a really well thought out, balanced class. I think it is a good cross between a rogue and a gymnast.

You keep a few of the rogue abilites, but add in some really good movement based abilities in place of lost rogue ones. Thief Acrobat talents make the class really customizable as well.

The class itself is a 20 level based class, but has prereqs in case you want to use it as a prestige class.

I haven't had a chance to make any characters quite yet, but on the surface it seems like a really fun class to play. For the price, I think it is well worth the money.

Thanks for the info

If you like the class, do us a favor and take a second to place up a review of it at Paizo.com so othere people might see it. The reviews of the products are very important to publisher and manufactures. Ie helps get the word out on our products. Thanks for your support of LPJ Design.

Consider it done.

Seems easy - Illusionist!

I liked this class very much. I was little confused by the pre-req's. It didn't seem clear that they were there only as an option for use as a prestige class.

I would like to see a class that is an unarmed combat specialist, but not a monk. Full base attack bonus, no armor, "martial arts" weapons, no mystical abilities.

I'd like to throw Archer into the hat.

I'm going to play the opposite side of the coin. I think I got exactly what I paid for...maybe a little less.

The rule descriptions are very akwardl worded. They're not hard to understand exactly, just very conviluted. Almost feels like the designer was purposely lengthening sentences to up the word count.

The made as a base class but workable as a prestigue class aspect really bothers me. It's probably more of a personal preference thing, but it just strikes me as very wishywashy.

Several of the class abilities don't feel finished. One in particular states that it acts very similar to the wizard spell blur, and can be used X amount of times per day. But doesn't state how long it lasts. Same duration as the spell? If so, is the acrobat's caster level his class level? This would be my guess, but I'm not buying a book so I can make guesses...

Overall I really like the concept, and was very excited when I saw the product. Reading the introductory text I felt that this was exactly what I'd been looking for (I strongly disslike the third edition rogue class, where they took the old thief, and made it into a glass cannon combat monster...which Pathfinder actually made worse in my opinion). Once I got the the rules of the class...I was very dissapointed.

My biggest complaint is the various class abilities that change the way specific skills work. To me this is so very very wrong. The skill checks for an acrobat to tumble over a gravel pit past the hulking ogre should be cake because they have a lot of skill points invested in the skill...not because they get some special rewrite to the skill. It's cumbersome and clunky.

The class as a whole is salvagable. Like I said, I realy like where they were trying to go with it. It's just going to be almost entierly rewritten before it sees use at my table. I do look forward to seeing other work by this designer, though this was a very poor introduction.
