I'm very excited about this. I enjoy Three dragon Ante and Walk The Plank as part of our weekly games.

I have the original Three Dragon Ante game. After a few games, I was able to get people, who are not into board games, to have a great time playing. I can't wait for this one to come out.

Hopefully, the box will have a good design and the cards from the original set will fit into the new one as well.

Does this come with the original set as well as the new cards? Im just wondering as the original set appears to have been removed

Paizo Employee (Customer Carebear)

@ yoshiru, It is all new cards. You can play it alone or in combination with the other deck.

A couple of us played it at lunch today. The new powers introduced are fun. The colors seem too be a bit to similar. (Kind of like how bronze and brass look similar in the first version).

It's great if you don't have the first set, and great if you do.

Thanks

The n-dash dropped out of the product description when I cross-posted it to my Facebook account - thereby promising a game designed for 26 players!

Now that's a card game!

Board Game Geek has pictures of all the cards.

The 10 new dragon types (plus mortals) and their abilities make for a different game than the original deck. Hard to tell from looking at the cards if the game play is better or worse. My group would definitely notice a different feel to the game simply due to removing the classic 10 dragons and using 10 dragons they've never heard of before.

Apart from laminating the cards has anyone found card protectors for tarot sized decks?

I also saw a picture on BoardGameGeek of the french box of the original three dragon ante game and it appears to include dragon coins in it.

I wonder if its true; and if it is how I could get a hold of them..a quick net search hasn't amounted to much
