Dang. I'm gonna have to try to get one of these. I probably won't though, because I'm betting all of the copies will be pre-ordered...
Eh, there's 2,000 units available. I doubt they'll all be pre-ordered. I, for one, don't really plan on picking it up because I've already got the Crit Deck and the only other item that interests me is the flip-mat, which I can buy individually for less than half the price of the chest.
If I didn't already have the Crit Deck, I'd consider it. Maybe if they threw the Fumble Deck into the chest...
I was just going to buy 2 sets along with some Rise of the Runelords item cards, but even though it was over $100, there was still a shipping charge. I had forgotten, only non-pre-ordered and non-backordered items can get the free shipping at $100.
So, I'll just wait until Gary gets us the ability to combine items to ship with my subscriptions or the items get in stock. Now all I have to do is remember what to order when they're in stock in November!

You're correct—if you're a subscriber and you ordered the box, you won't get the PDF until the box ships. But if you're a subscriber and you've ordered just the TC1 module separately, you'll get the PDF when the module ships. (I should also mention that Josh isn't quite accurate with the "came out today" portion of his message—they have arrived in our warehouse, but, due to the holiday, we won't actually be shipping the Module until next week.)
We're sorry for the inconvenience—we really wanted these products to come out together, and be in stores for the holidays, but we encountered pretty crazy printing delays with the box.

Yeah—pretty much. We decided not to ship the module until next week, when we expect to be shipping the next Pathfinder.

Ok, I would actualy never do that myself (nor am I implying you would SirUrza, even though you don't hesitate to give up the hiding place of other people... ;p ), but there's a risk someone else would do it. It might be one of the reasons we will never get our free PDFs before the actual item shipped and we were charged for it.

That's part of it. The other is that our order processing system is built around product shipments, and the act of shipping the print edition is what gets you the PDF. Changing that would be painful.
Hmm... The image of this products links to GameMastery module E1, and the image footer also says "E1 Carnival of Tears."
I suppose it should link to an enlarged image of the box.

I decided to post here as well as in the customer service threads about my recent order, just in case someone here can answer me quicker.
I placed an order today that included a pre-order of the Treasure Chest (Order#861598). However, upon checkout, after submitting payment, the order details said that the Chest was "Cancelled December 2007." What does this mean? I am hoping that it is just how your system is handling the pre-order thing, but I would like some clarification.
I know its a busy time and that the product has gone through some release date changes. Please advise as soon as you are able regarding this. Thanks.

Sterling, your Treasure Chest is waiting for the release of the Critical Fumble Deck to ship. If you would like these two pulled apart, please let me know (though, you'll probably want to do so in the Customer Service area, as I do not check the Product Discussions as often).

Damn you Paizo folks for making such awesome products to part me from my hard-earned cash! I just received a copy of this, and it is truly awesome. The box is sturdy, it's got beautiful artwork, and all the items inside are top quality with the art and attention to detail I've come to expect from Paizo products.
However, I'd like to offer the following two bits of feedback on the treasure chest:
1). The adventure only just fits in the box. Like, as in the inside dimensions of the box are exactly the same as the outside dimension of the module's cover. It fits snugly, but it would have been nice if the box was just a wee bit bigger, with the slightest bit of play to make it easier to get the adventure module in and out of the box. I had hoped to use the box to store my growing collection of Gamemastery adventures. I think I'll use it to store my map packs and spell area templates instead.
2). Like Fatespinner above, I already owned a copy of the Critical Hit Deck. No big deal, I gave my extra copy to a friend. But if you guys are planning on doing more treasure chests in the future, I'd suggest an option to substitute one item from the box for a similar item of equal or lesser value.
Got mine today. I was waiting on the critical fumble deck so it took a little bit of extra time. Can't wait until Gamemastery Treasure Chest 2 comes out. I love the way that the item pack, maps and module all work together but can still be used outside of this adventure. Please, keep up the good work.

1) If the "add to cart" button is there, it's still available (it is).
2) Apparently, this one didn't sell very well, which is surprising, since I'd go as far as to call it the best Paizo product I've bought thus far. So no, no TC2. Likely it's because a lot of people already had a few of the products (it was supposed to come out simultaneously, but there was a delay). I really wish they'd do some sort of tie-in adventure, though, even if it didn't all come in the same box.
