There's no way to specify in advance; you can choose to start with either the most recent volume or the next upcoming volume, so if you want to start with #19, you can do that in the roughly two-month window starting after #18 ships and ending as #20 ships.

Because of space reasons and my general interest in not cluttering my basement further, is there a possibility that Paizo would consider providing subscriptions to the .PDF versions only. I really don't need the print version and would probably buy the map folios for each adventure arc to support any games run.

Sorry—it's just not in the cards. We make the Pathfinder print subscription as attractive as possible because Paizo needs to have predictable sales of our print products in order to thrive.
If we offered an attractive PDF-only subscription, it could measurably decrease sales of the print editions, and when you print fewer units, per copy costs go up, which results in either A) lower margins for us or B) higher retail pricing for print copies. (And higher pricing results in lower sales, which results in lower print runs, which results in... well, you can see it has the potential to be bad.)

When you subscribe, you can download free PDF's for the volumes sent to you as they come out. Do you also gain access to the older volume PDF's for free, or do you have to purchase them as well?

You do not get access to the PDFs of back issues. If you want them, you will have to purchase them separately.

I don't know why Paizo (and subscribers) never talk about that moment after you get your first subscription issue, when the heavens open up and you hear the music of the spheres as a selling point. That's only with the subscription.

Because we're still living in the bliss of it? And it's renewed with every box of goodness that arrives? :)
(FYI, if any Paizo folks wonder, my subscriptions are all in the hubby's name ... we love you, but can't afford and don't need two subscriptions :) )

Add a subscription to your cart. When you view your cart, you'll see that you can choose to start with either #18 or #19.

Hi,
When will the Pathfinder Adventure Path books be using Pathfinder RPG rules rather than standard v3.5? I let me subscription slip when Dungeon was no longer published (and I'm slightly kicking myself). But I would like to subscribe once the Adventure Paths are PFRPG based.
Thanks,
Stefan.

So I'd like to give this a shot (I haven't spent much on gaming in the last few years, but the fact that I can grab a current issue at discount then cancel if it's not what I'm looking for is a huge appeal).
Is there a way I'm missing to see exactly which issue was the last to ship? I can't tell if Legacy of Fire 2 (#20) has shipped yet. If it hasn't, when do they typically go out (though I know it varies)? Middle of the month?
Edit: well, the obvious answer is to check here on the forums and find that people are just getting their copies of #19, so if it's not my thing I'll have plenty of time to cancel before #20. Awesome!
Double edit: Or am I mistaken? When I click the shiny silver button it defaults to the next pending issue (#20); it doesn't give me the option of getting the current one. Am I too late to get #19?

I don't know if this was addressed elsewhere, but does/will Paizo offer the Pathfinder Adventure Paths in one book at some point? I didn't subscribe when this all started, and to get print copies of all 6 parts of a path would be costly. It would be great to get Rise of the Runelords and the others as a 6-in-one hardcover!

They have said several times before that a compilation of older books would hurt the sales of the current volumes and that they are not interested in self-competing. Someone who wanted a whole AP would not subscribe, but would just wait for the whole things to come out in one book. So get on eBay and search for those missing, OOP books!

Figured out how to pick which issue I want (you actually have to click the "view cart" button, duh), but apparently they don't take paypal so I'm out of luck.
Will try to find one of those rechargable cards mentioned on page 1, or get a card with my bank. Unfortunately that probably means I'm not subscribing this month.

Makes some sense, I guess. I was just too skeptical when it first came out, but now that I've downloaded the entire Rise of the Runelords set, I'd much rather have them in print. I can't wait to get that campaign off the ground!

Are player versions of the maps from the adventure paths available perferably digitally but hard copy would be ok. I have gone digital and am using a projector to project the maps right from the modules onto my game table for my Second Darkness Campaign. However, some of the maps like the "Boneyard" from Second Darkness #1 contain info that the players shouldn't see. I remember that Paizo provided downloads of player maps for some of the Dungeon adventure paths way back when. Is there something similar now?

Most PDF readers* will allow you to select and copy the maps from the PDF editions**. That gets you just the underlying illustration without the labels.
*Notable exceptions: Apple Preview and Adobe Reader 9 don't work, but Reader 8 and earlier do.
**The first few PDFs we produced didn't allow this, but most of them do.

At this time we don't offer yearly subscriptions. Yearly subscriptions open a complicated kettle of fish that we'd rather avoid.

There will be no player guide to purchase as has occured in the past four. But James has said that there will be a free PDF 4-6 pages or so, with information that is player oriented for each AP.

It's available worldwide. The best way to find out how much things cost to ship is to add them to your cart, and start the checkout process. You'll see a shipping quote for your individual location and chosen delivery method before you commit to purchasing.

Many thanks for the prompt answer.
I have a further question that isn't strictly appropriate to this thread but is linked in my mind. So please accept my apologies if it makes for an untidy forum.
Is there any likeliness of bundle offers occurring on the older, complete adventure paths or other similar products? My personal interest is for the existing adventure paths, Rise of the Rune Lords, Curse of the Crimson Throne & Second Darkness.
Regards

Well, there definitely won't be a bundle for Rise of the Runelords, because #1 and #5 are sold out and #3 only has a few non-mint copies remaining—it probably won't last until Gen Con.
The others aren't out of the question, but we have no current plans.

If you're interested, here's a lengthy debate of why they don't offer a PDF-only subscription (at least for the Adventure Paths):
