I don't know about anyone else, but if I had $65 to spend and was a Star Wars collector, I'd spend it on some action figures. Not on a book telling me how much my action figures are worth. Maybe I just don't have the collector's mindset, though.
So Vick and Lisa - what percentage of this book do you guys own?
Not really sure. Perhaps 40-50% or so? I never really tried to compare our collection versus any list. Perhaps the best answer is, more than any sane mortal should have? :)

I'm randomly wondering if this book is thick enough to serve as a proper home-defense weapon. The Force tells me yes. The Force is also telling me to buy this book...amongst others.
The Force Dot Net says that this book is available "now". Is this true? Are pre-orders shipping?
We are taking preorders, so I guess that means it is available to order. But the book won't be coming in until the second half of January and thus won't ship until then.
Yes. We have plenty to cover preorders. One other thing is that Gus and Duncan are going to be signing books on Friday and we plan to ship out autographed copies to everybody who preorders. Pretty sweet, huh? :)
That's great news. I've been checking back so often for updates on the book waiting as patiently as possible for it to ship.

TOTALLY ROCKIN' AWESOME!!! This is like a Second Christmas!
Is it okay if I ask you a some questions as a collector, and completely off topic? I am trying to locate the posters that have been released from Hasbro that are basically checklists of the action figures for each series.
Can you tell me, where the best place to track some of these posters/checklists down is (other than EBay)? I know that a few were convention exclusives, but I'm not sure which ones, or how the rest were released. Were they store promos, or packed in with the toys (if so, which ones)? Also, do you know if the following action figure checklists/posters even exist; Episode I, Original Trilogy Collection, The Clone Wars (both series)and Star Tours?
I know this is probably the worst place for me to be asking this type of question, but I'm really looking for someone with expertese on this subject as I'm having a heck of a time tracking some of these down.
This question is open to anyone who can help me, or point me to someone who could help me. My direct e-mail is okrecords1138@yahoo.com. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Again, sorry for posting here. Just looking for leads.

Although I grew up with a lot of withouts, when Star Wars came out everyone I knew somehow inexplicably found a way to get Star Wars merchandise to me. I was the richest poor kid on the block that year.
When the first movie came out in '77 I was a part of the Early Bird club that got the pre-release of the first four action figures. I had every figure, every vehicle and setting (Cantina, Death Star etc...), every art collection, every collectible card, every SW comic from #2-#46 (No... no number one <sniff>), a zillion black and white photo stills and poster for my walls, jigsaw puzzles, stuffed animal R2-D2 and Chewie, all of the McDonald's collector's glasses and some SW plastic cups, bowls and lunchbox, even (still have)the R2-D2 cookie jar that Lucas said something to the effect of, "When I saw the R2-D2 cookie jar, I realized just how big it all was."
I had Star Wars towels and bedsheets and my grandmother bought an extra pair of those sheets to make curtains for my windows. My mother painted the wooden furniture in my room blue to match them.
I have a picture of me as Luke Skywalker at Halloween, age 9, swinging around a crimson light saber a special effects guy made for me. It came out before that mass produced red flashlight version.
Back then, Star Wars was magic... the same feeling I got from D&D.

They didn't actually put their own book in the book did they?
If so, then I really don't understand you collector people.
Hey, that's Collector-People: Capital P, hyphen, capital C. Get it right.
So how nervous do you get when the military is moving you and the packers come to pack up your stuff and they get to your collectibles? I know I get nervous as hell! With collectibles and the 1000s of RPG books they pack to.
