Interesting. Six adventures make up the story arc? Why does that sound familiar...? :)
If it ain't broke...:P
Tru dat :)
Actually, there happen to be six wards in the Great City each penned by a different author. Mario thought it would be cool to have a series of adventures that took PCs through all of the six wards, and have each written by the original authors of the wards. Had there been more or less wards, the format might be different. The part that creeps me out is originally there were 6 wards, 6 authors, and 6 adventures. Thus I decided to put a couple more author's on the project. That and I always take the opportunity to add as many werecabbages to a project as a publisher will let me get away with.

I really like the 666 story, Tim. Gives the line a nice omen, don'tcha think? Now all we need to do is talk about the editors that died mysteriously during the making of.

If Dave Hall dies, you're going to have to finish the editing chores.

Can't we just reanimate him so we never have to pay for editing again?

Again? Have you seen him lately? Dave Hall is already undead. It was the 3am editing sessions on The Bloody Fix (next adventure) that did it. Or maybe the +1 malign club we smacked him with.

My malign club has way more plusses, bro, and I ain't smackin' no man widdit unless he lady pretty. It even comes with the besought woodsplitter special quality.
I also plan to work the Thieves World module "Murder at the Vulgar Unicorn" into the campaign as well. But it may be a while before I get to any of this stuff.

That sounds cool! You may want to wait for the second adventure, Bloody Fix (or even the third) before integrating Thieves World material, as conflict with the existing Great City underworld intensifies at the beginning of the arc. They create some awesome opportunities for recurring criminal nemesi.
Just a thought. Let us know how it works for your campaign!

Good idea. I have a few adventures I want to integrate. In addition to The Skullcrackers, I also have A Pound of Flesh, plus GR's Murder at the Vulgar Unicorn and even War Of the Wielded from Dungeon Magazine 149. I'll probably have to do some adjusting, but I think there will be fun times ahead.

Aw, man. I wanna play at your house. That sounds like a killer combination.
I think A Pound of Flesh should integrate pretty easily into Skullcrackers so that you could - in essence - run both adventures simultaneously. You should be able to play one plot off the other, so that clues and such for each appear in the other adventure.
I'm not familiar with Vulgar Unicorn. I'll have to check that one out. If it involves the underworld crime scene, it should be pretty simple to either tweak Vulgar to use one of the three crime groups in Trade Ward, or even just replace one of the three with whatever group appears in Vulgar.
I hope you enjoy the adventure, and I'd love to hear how your integration project goes!
Thanks for the input and well-wishes, John. I believe that the Road to Revolution series, A Pound of Flesh and Murder at the Vulgar Unicorn will make for a great Theives World Campaign.

Not counting the fact that our beloved editor's email features the word "devilish" in it... :)

Oh yeah!
Built-in urban legends for an urban adventure arc. >:)

I suppose this is only half a threadjack, but when is Paizo going to carry the second adventure in The Road to Revolution line, The Bloody Fix?
RPGnow has it for sale today... you gonna let dem get away wit dat?! It's almost like they're calling you out. You got to Fight... For Your Right...to sell my first published adventure!
Is payola still illegal? Because I've got some early Grenadier and Ral Partha figgies I'm willing to chuck over the transom. ;)
Now back to this thread's Skullcrackery goodness...

Thank you, SUH!
And congrats on the 5 star review, Zherog. Your excellent work truly deserves it.

Any chance these six adventures are going to be combined into a print release?
Mario (Master of the Zero One) is the one to answer that as he's the publisher. For my part, I hope so! They are also available individually in print from Lulu.

My turn! When's Tides of Blood expected to hit the Paizo site? (just released today somewhere else)

Must be getting sick of those five star reviews by now, eh? If I knew what that utter lack of diversity was like firsthand I'm sure I'd cry myself to sleep at night. ;)
WTG Zherog and everyone else involved.

Cool! Thanks for the feedback. One more Question...do you NEED the Great City supplement to run the adventures or are they just recommended?
You can get away without the campaign setting, I think, but I really feel you'll enjoy it more with the campaign setting. Also, you'll be better able to riff and improvise, with the campaign setting background. But you can get away without it.

Cool! Can't wait to hear what you think. For what tis worth, The Jade and I wrote chpt 2, The Bloody Fix and chpt 4, Puncture the Blackened Vein.
Daigle and Oppedisano did chpt 3
Tim Hitchcock wrote chpt 5
And Brendan Victorson and Liz Courts wrote the conclusion.
Sure, I'll let you know when I get the books! I'm looking forward to reading them, as the concept really reads like fun.
These are some fine reviews you're getting. Hmmm..
Let us know if you try them out, Watcher. Would love to know what you think. Most of the adventures just got their PFRPG upgrades (free download), and I believe more PFRPG upgrades are on the way, though the publisher 0onegames is the last word on that.
