I'm really looking forward to getting this one - Tim is an awesome writer and I can't wait to see what his vile and ravaged mind has come up with this time!

Is there going to be a set piece? I really love those, and they've kinda become the norm for each PFAP adventure.
Yes. There will indeed be a set piece in each issue of the Legacy of Fire AP.

You know it, baaaaby!

I just hope she doesn't seem too Osirion-based. I mean, I hope it is written in such a way that one can easily envision Andoran followers, Varisian followers, etc. So far all we've seen is Kyra, and she seems pretty much like she's from Osirion...

Well, I personally think a god's appearance, demeanor, importance, and even the name of a deity varies from region to region. Even if she is primarily worshipped in Osirion and/or Qadira and that general region, I don't see how people in Varisia can't worship her as well. The religious symbolism and the nature of people's worship might change a bit to reflect their culture but that doesn't mean that those from Varisia, the elves of Kyonin, or even the vikings of the north can't worship Orision, or at least an aspect of the deity.

That's my take on things anyway.

I know I am jumping in a bit late but...

This is exactly how real world religion works... For example, the practices of a European Catholic and an American Catholic are different. But if you explore the way the mayan Catholics celebrate thier faith... Apart from some common elements, it is nearly a different faith to the outside eye, but all 3 groups worship Jesus Christ, and all 3 would identify as Catholic.

Hey Pett!!!!

Long time no see. Shaved "the Logue" yet? (he needs a good shave) or have you decided to quarentine him to the otherside of the island?

I'm reading through this issue now. It's absolutely spellbinding thus far.

Got it! I was hoping for a little more crunchy bits from the Sarenrae article, but it's nice. I may have to pass around my Dawnflower Dervish now that we have an official full article with no prestige class.

Yeah, I'm playing a Sarenrae cleric too and I was disappointed in the article. It seems to me an only slightly extended version of the preexisting Gods & Magic and campaign guide entries. It's useful if you don't have those, but if you do... Except for the two common sayings I got nothing really usable out of it.

I would like to see more on Phrasama she looks to be the most intriguing , c'mon a diety whose domains include both healing and death , how cool!

I finally received my hard copy yesterday in the mail, and I just started reading it. Very impressive so far, but them again, I am a big fan of good dungeon crawls with multiple levels.

Without a doubt, LoF is the best looking of the AP's so far.

Mr. Hitchcock does it again!

House of the Beast looks very cool.

It's just a divine modification to the dervish class. BAB switches to cleric, you don't get any of the feats, but you do get spells every level except for first and you get the ability to cast spontaneous healing spells and domain spells while dancing. It's worked out pretty nicely.

I ended up about 2 levels behind in spells but with a few rounds to charge up I can be pretty devastating. The ability to take 10 on tumbles and balance checks through combat and move and get a full attack have been pretty useful but unless I have two rounds of spells up I'm not nearly as effective as our main fighter. It also means by 4th level I can cast healing spells on my friends or even against undead through my swords. So it keeps the utility of healing in combat while still being able to shell out a little damage.

I have low hitpoints for a front liner, but I have a great AC to help make up for it, which isn't always helpful but usually means I can hold my own for a little longer up front than I would be. I have to say, the current end power is really pale in comparison to the default paizo one so I'd have to change that for Pathfinder and I'm thinking on it.

Would love to see it and maybe be able to offer it to any clerics of Sarenrae. Can you share? Have you modified it for PFRPG? How would spontaneous casting or Channeling work?

Thanks, SG.

And I love the illustration of that guy. He looks out from my iPhone at me all the time. Anybody figure out who he really is?

I hope there's more iPhone wallpaper in our future.

Dude, it's the Balddude! ;P

You, sir, have the nerve to talk about someone's "vile and ravaged mind"? You whose writings our Hellknights use to torment and drive their victims (and, occasionally, each other) mad?!?

*Shudder*

;)

My PCs did something very interesting and I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this:

Spoiler:
Instead of walking into the House of the Beast and fighting their through my players (a gestalt beguiler/warmage and a gestalt noble/marshal/other stuff) decided to round up an army to challenge the Carrion King directly. The Carrion King brought his entire force out to bear, nearly 100 gnolls of varying degrees of power against the players and they fought on the slopes of the Pale Mountain. The new gnoll paper minis were extremely useful!
