Now that both tomes are out, and sales are rolling in, I'd be interested in hearing some feedback. What do you guys think of these books?

In an evil contest the blight elves really are Cartman to the drow Bart Simpson. In so far as evil goes, drow should be ashamed. They should aspire to be anywhere near as hopelessly wicked as the blighted ones.
It's the difference between knocking off the head of a statue and devising an elaborate scheme to get Scott Tenorman to unknowingly eat his parents in the form of tasty chili. One is vandalism and the other will give you nightmares.
Even during the Bear's Grove podcast with Sam Chupp when we were talking blight elves... Sam slapped all these warnings on the podcast because the material within was truly that provocative and forbidden.
I'm thinking Hal Maclean might actually just not be right in the head. I couldn't have written this.
True20 lines are about to see a lot of love, but even if True20 isn't, or isn't yet your bag, it's quite modular. You could drop these blight elves, their captivating realm, and their menagerie of rather unique monsters into most any campaign world. They're an intriguing race of villains sure to give your players something they've never seen before. Something worth knowing. Something worth fearing.
I'm looking forward to the reviews.

Since I have mainly played DnD and now the d20 version on 3 and 3.5, can the true 20 be played in d20 version? If so, I might have to check out this bundle pack. Sounds wickedly interesting.

Hiya Kohl,
Thanks for your interest!
True20 is based off the D20 system, but there are some differences. It is close enough though that you shouldn't have any serious problems converting true20 to D20.
The true20 core rules provide guideliens for converting D20 to True20, so you can always look at those to get an idea of what they did.
Thanks again!

I wish I could say you were the first person to question my sanity :)
Parental cannibalism... hmm.
Why didn't I think to include rules for that in the book!!!
No, I had to come up with something mainstream like the Dark Matrons and the Neverborn.
(C'mon, what evil sorceress wouldn't keep herself pregnant forever if it meant she could use the child to power her spells?)
A whole chapter devoted to new poisons and diseases and not a single word on parental cannibalism? What was I thinking!
:)

Ed Healy and I did a podcast for the Tome Show with host Jeff Greiner for the Blight Elves. This was our second interview for the book and we gave brief mention to the Blighted Bestiary as well. I don't why talking about the most evil race I've ever read about always has to come out sounding like I took laughing gas just before the interview. It must be a defense mechanism to mask my bottomless despair.
I left the file playing by accident and noticed Jeff placed an easter egg of me blasting Ed! It appears thirty seconds after the theme music ends at 38:55.
I've got to blast Ed more often. I just... like the sound of it.

Too bad he didn't include the part where I took your head off with my witty repartee. :)

Ah, but then you woke up Dorothy and started pointing to each of us and telling us we were there too. Did you bring me back a shirt from fantasyland?

That was my question, too, since I currently play in 3.x/Pathfinder/4E games. I do have the T20 books, though, so I should be able to convert any crunch from the Blight Bundle.
Off to make my purchases!

Awesome, Joela. Let us know what you think. I was just thinking about the Blight Elves yesterday.

That's weird. I purchased, personalized, and downloaded the zip twice and it's empty. Help!

I see from another thread that you already figured this out, but for anyone looking in, if you ever get an empty folder on one of our downloads, try a different unzipping utility.
