Will the Beta be on sale at GenCon UK? I'll get it anyway, just curious.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Looks like I am picking up two copies at GenCon. One for me and one for a friend whom can not make the trip. Now I just need to line up everyone at paizo there and have them sign both books...

We hope so! It'll be a little tight, though.

I too am interested as too whether psionics will be mentioned? May not be a loved aspect of D&D but I think its a cool one and worth covering. Love the way the classes haev been beefed up by the way. Very cool.

Taldor (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Modules Subscriber)

In which way could I get copies sooner... at Gen Con, or by ordering?

Grand Lodge (Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber)

Oh, August looks good. Very good.

We can't say for sure at this time. I *suspect* we'll be able to start shipping shortly before Gen Con, but you may not receive it before the show.

If they do ever do a psionics book, they could actually be able to do something WotC never would do - combine the OGC Psionics stuff from the Malhavoc books with the Psionics stuff that's in the SRD.

(Along with Paizo's own added goodness, of course.)

I've not checked the OGL licence in the psionics books, but if its like Malhavoc's usual approach to open game content they'll have been as vague as possible about what is open and kept as much closed as they feel they can get away with.

Vic, any news about the new deal with shipping to Europe?

Dreamscarred Press has used some Malhavoc psionic stuff, id give examples but i think they got special permission for some things...

I wasn't aware that Malhavoc's stuff wasn't open. Does that mean that BoEM isn't usable in other products? That's my single favorite OGL book ever.

Are you referencing Eldritch or Experimental?

I was just looking over the OGL at the back of the Complete Book of Eldritch Might last night and the spells, feats, etc appear to be OGL. IANAL.

We have a new rate, but Lisa has yet to revise to the discount we're currently offering on certain shipments.

Will this be available at GenCon?

I'm looking ahead for items to spend my voucher on. I know I have to wait until Sunday but I'd really like on of these. If not... I'll preorder.

We will have them at Gen Con... but I can't guarantee we won't sell out of our convention allotment by Sunday.

We will not be selling at Dragon*Con, but there will be Pathfinder Society events.

I'm going to be at Gen Con.

Is it best to pre-order now or do you think there will be enough copies at Gen Con?

Well, we *hope* we're bringing enough copies to the show, but we can't guarantee it.

Any idea yet whether the books will ship before GenCon?

So, I wanted to see how much it would cost to buy the pdf edition, and have it printed and bound in the uk, saving on shipping I figured would make up the printing costs, and then I have a hard copy for easy reading, and a pdf to keep at work and for reference.....

First quote, Staples, 400pages, in full colour, at 31p per page, £124, + £3 to bind it, oh, minus a £5 discount for being over £100.

So, £122, or at current exchange rates, $242.54....I am assuming shipping will cost less than that.... :D

Try printing it in Black and White. It's only a Beta, after all.

If I remember rightly, 5p per page would be £20 + £3 to bind (wire binding, not thermal so not as good), the print edition prim paizo, will be less than £18 shipped......

I am sure I could get the printing/binding done cheaper at a local Univeristy, but I thought it may amuse people to see just how much this *can* cost.

Wow

anther Pathfinder book for August. I forgot about this one, ha ha (this one will make it a Benj+ for my August order, ha ha).

Just curious will this book come to subscribers? I wasn't sure if it was part of it or one of those oddball singles. With the pdf being free in all.

I was hoping this would ship & get to me before the 8th of August, going on vacation the following week & wouldn't mind having this one to read.

thanks
RM

BETA! BETA! BETA!

C'mon, Beta!

You have no idea how much anticipation I'm seeing on the release of PFRPG Beta.

And I put my moolah where my yap is - got hardcopies ordered to go with the kewl goblin T-shirts and alla that. Ayup.

Paizo Employee (Technical Director)

The RPG isn't part of any subscription—you'll need to purchase it separately. I haven't yet heard a firm delivery date.

Not going to Gen Con. But I do have this on pre-order. How soon before the convention are you shipping these? Would I have my copy around the time the convention starts? Sort of an idea where I can pretend I have the money to go to gaming's big dance and see those who are preserving D&D as well as those who are basically attempting to bury it.

It's August, can we have the PDF now? ;)

Cheliax (Paizo Charter Superscriber, Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber)

I don't think it'll be available for download before August 18th...

Zaister wrote:

I know. But my current DM won't let us switch over to Pathfinder until Beta comes out, so I'm a little impatient.

ok 14.. that makes it 7 days to learn the changes to the Alpha, ok my DM would want to have his claws on it :D

I don't think so. Of course, I don't work for Paizo so I don't know for sure. I personally prefer Psionics to be in a separate optional book myself.

Can't wait. *jealous* Unfortunately, I live in Belarus and cannot order print version.
