A dungeon adventure for 6th-level characters.
The logging town of Falcon’s Hollow has been through rough times—first a kobold tribe abducted the town’s children for an evil ritual, then an unknown force reanimated the defeated kobolds to attack the town. Now a horde of zombies approaches and a mysterious evil gathers power in the north, tainting wildlife and the buried dead, its presence hinting at ancient evils better left undisturbed.
Hungry Are the Dead is a dungeon adventure for 6th-level characters, compatible with the 3.5 edition of the world’s most popular roleplaying game. Within its pages you’ll find an introduction to the town of Falcon’s Hollow, a detailed overview of an undead-filled tomb hidden under an abandoned monastery, and a new ghoul-like monster that crosses the line between man and beast.
This adventure is set in a remote forest in the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting, but can easily be set in any game world. It can be used on its own or combined with other adventures in the D series to create an even greater campaign arc.
ISBN-13: 978-1-60125-120-6
Pathfinder Modules are 32-page, high-quality, full-color, OGL-compatible adventures for use with the world's most popular fantasy RPG. All Pathfinder Modules include four pre-made characters so players can jump right into the action, and full-color maps to enhance play.

Ravenous zombie hobbit swarms ftw! ^_^
Actually, and obviously, I have no idea what's in this ... but, it's hungry dead ... and I have a fascination for most things zombie in my waning years ...

What, as opposed to the peckish dead?

How did I know Turin would invoke Swarming Hobbits! Undead Kender would be scarier...they'd steal you hand before you realized it was gone.
Sounds darned interesting for a module though...

Will this be made like Seven Swords of Sin, with each person in the staff creating a couple rooms?
If that's the case, I'd like to see Cosmo's room(s) make the cut this time ;p

Kenders don't steal. They borrow.

Swarming zombie hobbits ... INT score of non-existent .. they don't borrow anything - they eat it or smash it to get at the soft nougat center... how many zombie chowpounces does it take to get through full-plate to the knight inside? One ... two ...

Remember, this is your fault:
Hungry are the Dead, when there are no living left
Shambling all around, stuck in this undeath
Hungry are the Dead, when no warm meat left to gnaw
Wait there's a scent, Adventurers beyond the wall.
Now it's time to fight, priest of Shayless trying to turn
OH, he's higher level than your buds, watch them scream and burn
Hungry, hungry, hungry undead going down
Cleric's turning towards you, calling on faith to burn you down!
Holy symbol, pres'nted bold and full.
Oh look, he failed, at his turning roll
you start feasting ignoring the pain
you'll feel better, once you eat his brain!

"Hungry are the Dead" is written by Tim Hitchcock. It's for 6th-level characters. As for where it's set... it looks like it's going to be the last adventure set in Darkmoon Vale for a while, and will tie up a few loose ends that have been tormenting folk since "Crown of the Kobold King"...

"End his pain!"
Okay...so, the quoted film had a totally different take on the dead, but in a transliterative sense, the quote applies quite well. ;)
Anyway, if the loose end relates to what lies beneath Droskar's Crucible, I'm totally stoked...and increasingly pleased that I broke down and started subscribing to the modules.
By the way, you guys have done a smart thing by making each of the modules add info about the setting...most of the time I buy them just to learn more about Golarion.

If this ties up the stuff in Darkmoon Vale for a while, is there any chance of some sort of Darkmoon Vale compilation in the future (i.e., a boxed set including the modules similar to Goodman Games' Saga of the Dragon Cult or the like)?

The last time they did something in a box it didn't work out too well. Maybe a shrink-wrapped set would be better?

The Treasure Chest didn't work because it was released after most of the products it contained. Although the delay was because of the box, since the modules have been out for awhile, I doubt this would work, box or no box.

I like dead things.
I keep a mysterious bucket filled with isopropyl and dead organisms and their parts under my desk in my laboratory. Lately, I've taken to designing strange mechanisms to reanimate them to demonstrate various biological functions. But really, the most interesting thing you can do with dead critters is to open their stomachs and see what they've been eating.
I'm not sure, precisely, how this effects the module, but I'm pretty sure it somehow does.

So, like Nick Logue—except that you don't sip the bucket contents every now and then.

Hang on. So the assumed Falcon’s Hollow campaign would be:
• 1st level – Hollow’s Last Hope
• 2nd level – Crown of the Kobold King
• 5th level – Carnival of Tears
• 5th level – Revenge of the Kobold King
• 5th level – Tower of the Last Baron
• 6th level – Hungry are the Dead
• 7th level – Treasure of Chimera Cove
• And then off to seek your fortune elsewhere.
That seems like an awful lot of 5th-level adventuring. I wonder if that isn’t a clue to the nature of the undead pouring into Falcon’s Hollow. Perhaps one of those 5th level adventures is intended to take place after Hungry ifyouknowwhatImean.

I would really keep LB1 and LB2 separate from the Falcon's Hollow stuff. They follow a very different theme from one another.
Falcon's Hollow stuff is more traditional D&D group, LB1 at least is very Tom Clancy, not sure about LB2 of course since it isn't out (btw, LB1 is f'n awesome, I love military-esque games and that is such a perfect fit for one).

That new cover is amazing! I was considering buying this adventure after I took a look at its contents. I know I'm not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I'm such a Halloween fan that this adventure coming out in October with that cover makes it a definite sale! Congratulations Paizo, your marketing worked perfectly on me.
P.S.
Who is the cover artist?

It looks that way, and The Pact Stone Pyramid will be in November. I think that it was said that this is the last effect of Paizo's getting back on schedule, since many things were starting to get delayed. In addition, I believe that they had 1 extra module for this 2-month period because they had already announced them when the Pathfinder Companion was announced and the modules became bi-monthly.

Chimera Cove is expected to ship to customers by mid-October, and Hungry Are the Dead at the end of October. Pact Stone should be early November, which gets us back on schedule, after which bimonthly should actually mean bimonthly.
By the way, you can see all this good stuff for yourself on the schedule page!

I like the place too, even if it seems sometimes like everyone there is a total miserable @$$.
Then again, the community alignment is Neutral Evil.
