Print Edition is unnavailable. Did it sell out? Will there be more?

That was old data—it's back!

Good, I must have this dungeon as my own.

Taldor (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Will it be available again?

It's available now and with a 20% off!

Yay.

Kinda wish the print version let you download the PDF too. Guess I'll have to wait until I return stateside to peruse my box set goodness.

I think I'm going to try and get my players to do this as a long term play test for the Pathfinder RPG. It sounds very interesting, expect a purchase soon :)

I just picked this up today at my FLGS (Sorry Paizo, it was there, I drooled over the nice heavy box and couldn't help myself :)

This looks to be a very promising campaign that should keep our family group busy all summer.

The hooks are abundant with plenty of alternate motivations, plots, missions, etc. Many different paths from which to choose. Interesting critters, new feats, nice treasures... It's all good :)

My only tiny gripe is the gazetteer is printed with a gray artwork background that is just dark enough to make the text very difficult to read with my failing eyes (two reading lamps, new specs, gazetteer held at the right angle and distance and yet I can barely make out some of it). Yet, I'm muddling through that part, as the bulk of the material is very clearly printed, well organized and easy to follow.

A truly impressive work!

So can anyone tell me how good this is? I was just wondering since I was thinking of getting it next week.

I really like the boxed version I have. This is a mini-setting that can be dropped in to just about an campaign setting. There's tons of detailed NPCs and interwoven plot lines amonst the denizens of the adventure.

It reminds me of older adventures from the 1e days, but with more storyline and motivations behind the bad guys. Good stuff and WELL worth $5.00 for the PDF. $5? I just can't see anybody regretting spending $5 for this product.

I'd rather have my boxed version, but I also paid more than ten times the amount this PDF is going for.

Do whatever you can to obtain a print copy, and definately get the PDF. This is a serious product that's worth owning for ownership sake, let alone the gaming you'll get done with it.

~shrugs and smiles~ Well, I bit the dust and ordered both the print and PDF version. Why the PDF also? Quite simply, it is there if I need to pull or print something out. It looks worth the money.

Now that leads to my second question... What other of the Goodman Games downloads would you all suggest? I might as well take advantage of the sale before they are gone.

(Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber)

Any of the DCCs are decent investments. Even if the module isn't to your liking, you can steal traps and monsters from them for your game. My party was horrified by the coin golem rising out of the treasure vault after they had cleared the enemy stronghold. X3

I got the print copy on day one and then purchased the PDF (at full price) - I don't regret it!

Get this product! Actually, get all Goodman Games 3.5 stuff.

...I miss them.

My nephew got me Castle Whiterock for Christmas this year! He ordered it from our friends at Paizo! My gawd it's a huge boxed set! It's packed with gaming goodness! I can't thank my nephew enough for getting it for me! I also can't thank Goodman Games and Paizo enough for marking it down 50%. If I could have afforded it I would have paid full price for it, but I'm unemployed.

Awesome boxed set! THANK YOU MATT!

Btw, we will be getting a new shipment of these in any day now, so they should be back in stock again next week.

So Lisa, if my order is pending, is that because you are out of stock of this one? I was just wondering because it did show in stock when I ordered it? ~shrugs~ Not that I am too worried if you are getting in additional copies.

It should mean that we're just waiting for the warehouse crew to dig through enough snow to get to the warehouse and ship it.

~laughter~ Hey Vic, do you need a chainsaw to help keep you alive? Just remember, any of the hired help that you all eat, have to be replaced by new hires. So ask yourself if you want to go through that before you have then for lunch!

Well, last snowstorm has many of us stuck at the office, but this one managed to get most of us stuck at our homes... so instead of snacking on the latest hires, we're having to deal with the six-year-old canned goods at the back of the pantry that we don't actually recall buying. (I'm pretty sure *I* never intentionally purchased anything "kippered...")

*clears throat*
Getting back onto the topic at hand...

Those of you that have this, how well put together is it? Also, does it share the same amount of encounter brutality that most of the other Dungeon Crawl Classics have? One last bit, how are the maps?

I'm getting it for Christmas and it's VERY hard not to pay that $5 and take a peak early... :p

There must be some way I can get a portion of your horde from this.

I haven't actually sat down and reviewed the modules but I imagine they're right up there with the rest of the DCCs. For the quality, it is top notch, four separate books bound the same as the regular modules, a handful of old-school style character sheets (I wouldn't use them but they are a nice addition) including the pregens, glossy poster map of the town, separate index and glossary for all the encounters, B&W booklet of all the maps (8x11 so not to scale), B&W book of handouts (getting the PDF may be easier than photocopying for some), and a gazetteer of the setting for players.

All in all, production wise, no complaints. However, the materials do not fill the box completely, so make sure not to stack anything substantial (other D&D books?) on top or the seams will crack.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Tales Subscriber)

I bought the box set for myself a year ago and it is great. Right now I am running RotRL but this is next.

The box set comes with 4 'adventure' books, a gazetteer. a 'read me first' booklet, pregen character sheets and a book of maps.

So two questions:

1 - What comes with the PDF? all the above as separate files? one huge file?

2 - Where can I place it in Golarion?

I nabbed the PDF for $5, awesome.

The downloaded zip has everything inside as separate files (each adventure book, map books, etc.).

Is it possible to capture the problem text from the PDF, separate it from the background, paste it into Word, play with the fonts, change the names of places and NPCs...?

In fact, is that possible with any of the series?

Handouts are great, but handouts that refer to the PCs by name are even better. And statblocks that can be extracted and pasted to a reference card during play save lots of time.

Thanks for answering my questions, I'm really looking forward to it now. :)

I think I'll probably be ordering the .pdf as well just so I have something to reference on the PC if necessary.

My hard copy is on the way and once I get paid this Friday, I will buy the PDF. I figure that for $5, why not. Easy printing of needed material and my hard copy doesn't get damaged.
