Of course there are astral diamonds. Just follow the silver thread from the mouth of the coin pouch, using astral sight. What kind of dumb question are you asking?

Any word on when more of these will be availible?

I can't plug 'em enough. My group uses them, and they're a blast. It really does add something to the game--and it makes them think a bit more about throwing their wealth around when they see their pile dwindle.

We are expecting the restock from Australia to come in any day now.

Has anyone used them in LARP? I wanted to run White Wolf's live RPG in London, England during the 1600's, and I thought that these might add to the feel, but was wondering if anyone found them to be useful in that type of play or if it only slowed play and was a bit of a hinderance.

I've been surfing the net to try and find a retailer for these over here in Blighty but with no success. Antone out there who can help as I'm sure they'll cost a bomb to ship to Yorkshire!

I love these things. I hate reading out how much gold the players find instead with my campaign coins i just grab a hand fall and throw it onto the table and say "you find that much gold", then a second hand fall after they have counted the 'gold' and throw a second lot much larger then the first and say "thats silver".
I do work on the honesty system with it but its feels great to grab a hand ful of coins. everyone loves the idea and the feel of the coins through there hands.
I also love grabbing 2 '1000' platium peice coins and say to my wife go knock yourself out buy what ever you want. the look she gives me is priceless.
I am going to go to a cryistal shop soon and buy some non valuable gems for when i need gem stones and use them

What's the matter, didn't you need 120 little "drug baggies"?

This product is amazing. I just bought the starter kit and the detail on the coins is breathtaking. Well worth the money paid when you first hand them out to your players and see the look on their faces. I'm in the process of ordering some more atm. My only gripe would be the need for more of a focus on the GPs there are an equal amount of each type right down to the CPs my players tend to hand out GPs as tips for stable boys so the CPs and to some extent the SPs really dont come into play.

But apart from that small grip I am simply gobsmacked by how good these are and as I said am ordering a bunch more GPs from Andre right now.

Must bring these to PaizoCon! Must!

For those folks looking for "gems" to add to their treasure hordes along with these coins, check out Disneyland or the like. I picked up a bag of plastic gems from the Pirates section of Disneyland a few years back, for a decent price and they are mostly three dimensional gems, too! No holes to string them, just good fun toys. Now if I could only find someplace else to buy 'em without a trip to Disneyland :)

I finally found some neat acrylic gemstones that were three dimensional :)

Go here and take a peek. I'll be able to tell you how good later once they arrive :)

Enjoy!

Please do! Those look great from the webpage, and the price seems reasonable.

I love my coins! Received them on Tuesday, and am already budgeting to get more ::laughing:: I cannot wait to use them in game, it'll be so cool to drop a nicely clinky bag on the table :)

Just did that for the first time last week. My players were ecstatic. I have to give them the big thumbs up as well. I plan on getting the 5's and 50's as well.

Received my gems today, and they are as good looking in person as they are in the pictures :) Good mix of colors and types -- a large round, a teardrop, a rectangle, and a heart, in clear, yellow, red, green, blue and purple.

I really want these. Is the 500 coin the same design regardless of the colour, or are there four different kinds of 500 coin?
Might get them for mah birthday...should be awesome.

So I'm guessing that there is *no* way that these will ever be 'in stock' again? I ordered a bunch of the smaller packs out of desperation, but I would *really* like to get my hands on a pair of the starter sets...

Hi Mike,

Costs have risen since the manufacturer minted those Starter Sets (several years ago) and he's not sure if there will be another Starter Set of any kind. Certainly this specific collection at the listed price will never be available again.

Paizo Employee (VP of Operations, Web Store Manager)

After speaking with Andre, the manufacturer of the campaign coins, he's asked me to do a little digging to see what you guys are looking for in terms of coins denominations, quantities, and cost for a replacement Starter Set.

So please give us some suggestions and keep in mind that prices have risen and we won't be able to keep the quantity of coins vs. price point ratio the same.

Myself, I would be mostly interested in a pack that would have:

25 x 1CP
25 x 1SP
25 x 1GP
10 x 10GP
10 x 100GP
5 x 500GP

100 coins.

Hopefully that would fit in the right cost vs. coins ratio.

In addition, this gives a DM a lot of flexibility, as well as allow for some players to actually gamble against each other and the DM.

I would also recommend that the manufacturer to get away from the 2 and 5 value coins -- especially in the lower value coins, like copper and silver. While they are neat to look at, they really aren't all that practical.

I know i'm arriving to this party a bit late but why not try and re-release the boxed set, albeit at a bit of a price hike? I mean the original boxed set was 70 dollars for 121 coins, why not bump up the price of the boxed set by 15 or 20 more dollars to make up for costs? As far as I can tell these coins are running for roughly a buck a piece if you have to but them from your FLGS, but I KNOW for a fact that even at 85-105 dollars that these starter kits would well make their money back in no time.

(I would personally order 3-4 starter boxes if I could)
