Excellent! I'm not interested in a new game world, but I am interested in adding these kingdoms and regions to my existing game world. I think they'll make a nice 'other side of the world' places to explore to the game.
These are great ideas and I for one am goign to save the money to pick them up....I just have one request though...please leave us wanting for more...Don't flood the market so I can't pick up all the fluffy sweet goodness you are putting out..WOTC has flooded it so bad me and it seems from reading this post most everyone else is tired of thier product. for years now With Dragon and dungeon you have placed quality over quantity please continue to do so.
when I see the word gazetteer & D&D together I think back to the basic D&D Known World books & I love those, so hopefully this one keep with that tradition.
lovin the products that are coming out, may have to look into cutting out some upcoming Wizzzzerds releases, now!!

Funny... it seems so close to me. Must get back to writing.

Two quick questions on these "extra" Pathfinder volumes:
1) are we subscribers getting a discount on these? (hey, on Amazon they offer a 32% discount!)
2) will the book come along with the PDF, as do the "regular" Pathfinder volumes?
Really, the answer to these two questions will make the difference between buying here at Paizo or somewhere else.

This isn't an extra Pathfinder volume. The cover is a mock cover that, unfortunately, uses the Pathfinder cover treatment as its baseline. This product is only related to Pathfinder in that they're in the same world.

We actually keep setting up a meeting to discuss PDFs and additional subscriber benefits with respect to related non-subscription products, but that meeting keeps getting pushed back. Right now, I can't answer yes or no to either. (It's also possible that the answer might be that subscribers will get a free PDF if they buy the book from us, but then again, it might not be.) As soon as we figure it out, we'll get word out.

Out of curiousity, on the Pathfinder Chronicles books for the first half of next year (particularly the gazeteer and city guide), how much rules crunch is there? I'm not terribly concerned if NPC's get the little race/class tags after their name (Expert3/Wizard1), but with the upcoming 4E and folks wanting to convert for rules sets, I'm kinda hoping that these books might just be fluffy (maybe with nice angora cov...nevermind).

Ed W...er, I mean, Rob
Well... they haven't been written yet. But the general idea, I believe, is that they'll be fairly crunch-light.
Wow. And here I thought that we would get the Pathfinder volumes and basta. I come back from my holidays in France and what do I see? Chronicles gazetteer, map pack... the Pathfinder family growing!
Excellent! My congratulations on the new babies to come! ;')
Grunt! Me WANT! AIEE! Get nasty spike pole away! NOOOOooooooo!!!

(Sorry, I had to shackle and toss my pet goblin back into "The Pit" just now. They're amusing, but actually quite dangerous.)
Ahem...in any event, I hereby formally express vast sympathy for all the poor editors, proofreaders, and other insufficiently-compensated souls who must suffer to meet the deadlines imposed by corporate agendas and the mindless greed of hordes of insatiable gamers.
May your supply of pain killer medications be sufficient to the task. Just remember, you may NOT die until every last bit of the Pathfinder series meets our greedy, steaming little beady eyes...have I made my Sin absolutely clear? ;-D

Of all the books I would want in PDF, I would think this would be number 1…considering maps and all.
Will there be a PDF Version?
(I must say that the PDF versions of Pathfinder are very useful and a huge plus.)
Will there be a Pathfinder Chronicles subscription (with free PDF Versions as usual for your subscriptions)?
Can the shipping for Pathfinder and the Pathfinder Chronicles products/subscription be combined?
(Especially since we're talking international shipping in my case)

From answers that were given in previous post here or elsewhere:
1- Yes
2- Yes and (Yes)
3- Once subsciption is avaiable, I'll bet my DM's screen there will be combined shipping available for Chronicles too.

Hey, Vic...
Any updates on this? I know that some of these are appearing in the Diamond Previews and Game Trade Magazine for preorder through my local Games/Comic shop. I'd love to take advantage of subscription, but I might just preorder from the store if there's no news forthcoming.
Any chance of a random weather table for Varisia in this one?
I second this. Not that I need a table, per se, but I would love to get a sense, at least, of overall climate patterns per region per season (what areas get monsoon-like weather, arid areas, snow, frequent fog, magical/ unusual weather, etc.).
With that said, an encounter table would also be handy.
A lack of these wouldn't keep me from buying it, but it would make the joygasm more climactic.

No worries—the Pathfinder Chronicles subscription will be available well before any of the products ship. In fact, it should happen this month.
As I am now working on creating a country for a "gazeteer," I demand this be released now! January is no good! I want to compare my country with what's here! And even more importantly, I just want more info on Varisia!
When Pathfinder Chronicles subscriptions become available, you'll find the listing here. (And we'll tell people about it on our blogs, and in the boards, and we'll mail Pathfinder subscribers.

If I only pre-order (no subscription), do I still get the free PDF when it ships?
Is this going to have some new classes and possibly Prc's that we can use?
Djoc(Pathfinder Charter Superscriber; GameMastery Cards Subscriber)
Well, it was said that this book will be crunch (rules) light, so I don't expect to see much new races/classes/PrCs. Though, it was said we'll get information about many human ethnicities (like Varisian/Shoanti/Chelaxian).
Main reason is the upcomming 4e and the fact Paizo staff haven't seen it yet and don't know if they're switching or not yet. So I agree it should be rules-light so it's not wasted if they decide to go 4e later.
If you want to see rules, go bug WotC so they send the 4e core rulebooks (or at least unfinished versions of them) and the 4e OGL to Paizo staff, so they can make up their mind and start to write crunch :) I feel it's already getting late for the Campaign Setting of August...
