hmm, I am still waffling I guess I am only casually interested in what I have read so far; so is pathfinder going to be and entire issue about one adventure storyline or will it contain more than one adventure per issue. At 14 +4 shipping dallors a month or 216 dallors a year that is quite a bit for a module of unknown level and without much storyline teaser release so know way to ascertain if it will fit into my campaigns. My favorite thing about Dungeon magazine were the short adventures not the long storylines as the short adventures I could insert into any campaign as a break in the prime story; what I really liked back when was the old book lairs as this fitted my needs very well; will pathfinder have any of this or will you guys be producing anything like this in the known future?
There was some information in the pathfinder advertisements, but will pathfinder have releases of new items, monsters, and perhaps skill and feats in each issue?

This seemed like a question to bring here. I converted my remaining issues of Dungeon and Dragon into issues of Pathfinder, and went ahead and signed up for month-to-month delivery of Pathfinder beyond the two free issues I received, since choosing that option meant I would be considered a "Charter Subscriber," and thus receive a free copy of the guide to the new AP's setting. So here's my question: "Pathfinder Charter Subscriber" does not appear beside my messageboard icon, as it does for others. Does this mean that I bungled the sign-up process somehow and didn't actually order what I thought I did, or am I good to go?
My question is essential I would much prefer subscribing and paying in advance for the items. Some of are married and can easily weather a one-hit fury storm from the wife, vice an additional once a month Exorcist moment.
Right now my conversion is for the first two months, make that once a month worth it and I'll keep it up and do the subscription thing.

Currently, the only international option we offer is through a UPS service called Mail Innovations. They bundle up a bunch of shipments headed for foreign countries, ship them there together, and then drop them into the local postal system. It should be faster than international parcel post (and cheaper too).

Nope. We enlisted the Place for Games to helped us bring down shipping costs for European subscriptions by doing something similar to what Mail Innovations does—but since Mail Innovations is available for Pathfinder, we'll be doing it ourselves.
As for the transition, European privacy laws make things a bit complex, in that TPFG can't actually tell us who our subscribers are. We decided the best thing to do is just have TPFG cut you a cheque, and if you want Pathfinder, you can order it directly from us.
Finally, can you give me any idea what the cover price will be in the UK?
That'll be up to the individual retailer—the only price printed on the book will be in US Dollars.
Just wondering, will Pathfinder adventures be RPGA-sanctionable like the Dungeon ones are?That's extremely unlikely, as the RPGA is owned by Wizards of the Coast.
I've been wondering that myself. Since RPGA is owned by WotC and its unlikely pathfinder modules will be allowed, is Paizo considering some reward program of their own?
I have read that the subscription goes from month to month. Are you considering an option to purchase a subscription as we have in the past with Dungeon or Dragon? I like the month to month as it saves me some cash but I'd consider getting a year or two at a time if the savings were in line with the Dungeon/ Dragon savings (although I don't recall exactly what percentage you saved, I just remembered that I liked it!).
Also, do you have any idea how the $4 shipping rate compares with other shipping methods? I am certainly no shipping expert but that price seems a bit high to me. The subscriber rate saves you 30% which is great but 75% of your savings is eaten up by the cost to get the book to you. If that could be reduced somehow I am sure more people would be interested since those savings could go directly into more Pathfinders!

I just checked and my Dungeon is 90-odd pages. And you're selling Pathfinder as 90-odd pages. Why does it cost three times as much (for subscribers) for the same amount of content?
Pathfinder will have far fewer advertisements then Dragon or Dungeon (I think the quote I read in another thread was "2 pages of house ads". So, if you take that and the covers out, you end up with 90-92 pages of pure content.
My guess is that Dungeon and Dragon are only about 60-65 pages of content (although at the moment I can't count them to be sure), so yeah, together you're getting about a 1/3 more content than comes in Pathfinder. Pathfinder is also printed on heavier stock, as I understand it.
Now, I agree that the cost is more than I want to pay, but I've decided to give the first adventure path a try, and then decide what to do from that point. I'm hoping that along with the excellent content we've come to expect from Paizo over the years, that they'll throw in some good "treasure" for us subscribers.

What a pity. Paying book + shipping makes the subscription very expensive for Europe.
It's only a dollar more than for US customers.
Given the weakness of the dollar (at least against the pound, not sure how it is against the euro) it's actually good value - and probably better than you'd get from a store.

I was not a buyer of either dungeon or dragon for many many years, I was soley sold on Pathfinder based on the crew at Paizo's class and professionalism in rolling it out so quickly on the heels of THE ANNOUCEMENT, and their willingness to answer (and re-answer, and in some case re-re-answer) questions.
I hope the individual adventures are modular enough to use as one shots, but I am sure I can adapt in anycase.

I'm looking at your offer and I am interested in Pathfinder. However, I think I'm missing a few Dungeons. Is it possible to purchase a the missing ones and then put the balance toward a Pathfinder subscription?

I have a question about how it will be shipped. My magazine are normally bent when I get them. Will Pathfinder be sent in a box or without one?
It will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard mailer. (If you've ever purchased a back issue, module, or other slim book from paizo.com, odds are good you've seen this mailer).

Regarding cardboard mailer, sturdy is the word. When I ordered SCAP back issues two-three years ago, the postman had to ring home because the pack wouldn't enter mailbox and he couldn't fold it to put it through the slit.
Word for Lisa : as your skills to create a company per minute are legendary worldwide ;o)) how about making a new magazine once the dust has settled ? Did you assess feasability ? What would be the cons ?

From what I gather, if you live in the U.S.A delivery is $4. For those outside U.S it's $5, no other options. I dont see any where that says it's different if you live in Canada, Europe, Outer Mongolia. It's still the set $5 per book (per month)
What about Canadian delivery?It's available worldwide. Seeing as how Canada still isn't part of the US, shipping is $5 per issue.

That would be bad. Many people wouldn't take kindly to having gigantic files show up in their mailbox—and many people would have such an e-mail killed en route before it got to them.
Instead, we'll be sending you an e-mail letting you know that you can come download it at your convenience.

The magazines are dead. So, can I look forward to purchasing advertising with pathfinder? what would it cost to say get a full page color, in october and november?
Pathfinder is a book product and will not contain anything more than a few house ads in the back.

I play in a long term game and, from time to time, I GM with a different group of friends. When I GM I generally only allow official WoTC D&D material, no more! I am so excited about Pathfinder and Gamemastery that any content they provide will full well be allowed in the games I run! Is it time yet? Ok, just a little longer…….
