Are these GameMastery modules going to be set in the same world as the Pathfinder adventure paths?

Yes, though not all will be in the same areas as any particular Pathfinder adventure.

What Black Mamba said. :)

Like Pathfinder, if I purchase a hard copy, will there be an available .pdf for download as well? (That would be nice!)

To be clear, only Pathfinder subscribers get free PDFs. If you don't subscribe, it's available as a separate purchase.

We're still in discussion about GameMastery Modules and PDFs, but odds are good the situation will be similar.

What level adventure is Crown of the Kobold King?

Jim Stenberg 9 wrote:

It is for 2nd-level characters.

So GameMastery Modules will be subscribable as well? :-)

Greetings,
Günther

Just so you guys know I'm very happy you're making stand alone modules and I will be buying them.

(Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path Subscriber)

So slurks are not going to be featured in this adventure, but the first Pathfinder arc correct?

I think it's the other way around. Slurks are kobold mounts, so I think they'll be featured in the kobold module.

The first book of Pathfinder seems to feature goblins.

Slurks do indeed make their first appearance in this adventure, in all of their slimy, terrible sabertoothed toad-ness.

MUHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

SLURK!

There are slurks a'plenty in Crown of the Kobold King! No PC shall escape a good and proper sliming!

Any chance we could get a preliminary CR for the little buggers?

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

Eagerly awaiting the GameMastery Modules subscription service... ;)

Taldor (RPG Superstar 2011 Top 16)

So are these Forge Spurned kinda like Kytons just undead???

Any news on said discussion? With June sneaking up, I want to get in on the action for my preorder of D1 and D0 (I know, the PDF will be a freebie for this one).

Oh noes...they be real different...soul chain...messed up. :-0

Fraust wrote:

Hmmmm...unless it changed in the final touches the slurk should be a CR 2, continuing the long tradition of mounts more dangerous than their riders (worgs to goblins).

Still working on it. Right now, it's looking like D1 will probably have a release date of July 5th, so there's still a little time.

Now that the Varisia map has been posted, what is the name of the local village?

Crown does not take place in Varisia...it takes place farther away from Rise of the Runelords...the name of the local village for Crown is "Falcon's Hollow."

So now we need a world map too?

Eventually down the road, I'm sure we'll get one. But for now we can just bask in the marvel of the Varisia map...when James sent it to me, I was drooling for hours. It's packed with adventure potential, it oozes mystery and excitement. Can't wait to play with it more!

This describes to a tee, a sore I have . . .j/k

The map is sweet -- I admit I am more stoked for Pathfinder than I have been for any other gaming related material.

Me as well!

I realized something . . .when I said I was eagerly awaiting Pathfinder I was using it as a catch-all for the entirety of Gamemastery modules and AP's that are set in this campaign, hence why I posted it here. A small point, but for some reason I felt the need to clarify (probabloy to let Logue know I am eagerly awaiting his depiction of the Kobold King -- ;) )

Nice! Thanks Rogue! Just one more month to wait methinks. I'm excited to see it in print! Proud o' this one, yes indeed! Hope you dig on it.

Who wrote Hollow's last hope? I preordered it along with Kobold King (because I trust any work you do, Logue.) and was wondering if you also did HLH. Still hate the image I get from Keegan's post when I see your name. The bleach to the brain didn't scour that image away, sadly.

FH

Jason and Wes wrote HLH, so it's freakin awesome, of this I have no doubts.

Nick for Real!

I'm down the page a touch, but you'll find me. Hint: I'm the guy holding the Chinese Halberd.

Isn't that called a kwan dao? I trained fairly extensively with them.

I don't think that image (with the mask) really helped much, you could still be that undead, penciled baby thing behind the mask. Now with Martial training! GAHHHH!!
need more bleach....

FH

Indeed it is a kwan dao (guan dao in pinyin)!

I love them!

Hi Nic,

How far away from Varisia is Falcon's Hollow?

I also read that all (?) GameMastery modules will contain info on the surrounding region where they are set. Is this also the case with D1?

Thanks in advance for your answer(s)!

Yep, D1 contains some info on Falcon's Hollow and the surrounding environs. As to how far away...very far, but I don't know specifics.

Carnival of Tears will expand on Falcon's Hollow and the area around it some more too.

Thanks for both answers!! ;-)

Sorry for duplicating.

Bocklin

what level is this module?

hectorse wrote:

It is for second level characters. I do remember reading somewhere that characters within one level of any module should be fine.

Giggidy Giggidy Giggidy.

Waiting for christmas was easier than waiting for this stuff to come out. I want it all, and I want it NOW! NOW DAMN IT, NOW!

Huge melodramatic sigh.

Sorry to post this across boards, but how do people that purchased the non subscription version convert it over to the subscription?

Also, how would shipping work if we also purchased another item (such as D0) at the same time?

Thanks!

Order the subscription and then contact customer.service@paizo.com and have them cancel the individual module.

At this time, you can't combine other merchandise with subscription products, but we're planning on offering that option in the future. So other merchandise on the same order will ship when that merchandise is ready.

Do we know when this baby will ship? It might influence the delivery address of an order I have already placed and am afraid to lose the parcel!

In advance thanks a lot for any info.

Until it actually comes through customs, the best we can provide is an estimated release date, which is currently pegged around July 5. Hopefully we'll be able to ship them out a little bit sooner, though.

I,
I undestand that pdf will be available as a free add-on for subscribers, but what if i don't want to subscribe and prefer pdf over printed version? Does the modules and pathfinders will be eventualy available directly in pdf format (at a lesser cost than the printed version )? Since i'm adapting most of the adventures i buy (and i bought every dungeons issues for the last 5 years - i known i should have subscribed but i prefer having the choice to buy or not each issue), i really prefer pdf format and don't really need hard copy anymore...

Thanks!

PDFs will be available for sale when the product is released. Module PDFs will be $8.99, and Pathfinder PDFs will be $13.99.

Note that $13.99 also happens to be the subscriber price for the print edition of Pathfinder, and you get the PDF free with that subscription, so if you like, you can look at subscribing as buying the PDF every month and getting the print edition for the cost of shipping it to you.

Man the whole Gamemastery Module thing struck me blind. I wasn't expecting it.

What is the expected release schedule for the module sets? Is it going to follow the same subscription setup as Pathfinder does? Is there a "charter" membership? Do I have many more questions?

They're monthly releases. Subscriptions are available. (Cover price, but subscribers get a free PDF version.) No charter subs. Do you have many more questions? :-)

Speaking of said PDF, where will we go to get it? Will it be automatically added to our "My Downloads" page, or a special link?

Thanks! Not just for the response, but the Subscription Service as well!

Hmmmm. Today is June 27th. D1 ships to subscribers today. I even got an email saying I should expect it in the mail.

- When will I be able to download the PDF?
- Will I see a link somewhere? Where?
