Okay Guys, whats the deal here? anyone know?
This is the second in the Trilogy of the original Dragonlance modules (originally each volume was 4 modules I believe).
However, here's my question.. What is going to happen to the third volume?
Dragons of Spring is advertised on the Dragonlance site and available in PDF. It also says pre-order for the hardcopy but here on Paizo it says the second part is the last to be published due to the licence being withdrawn (I know its to do with 4th edition).
Does anyone know if Dragons of Spring will be published in hardcopy? I have them all in 1st Edition but I quite wanted to run it in 3.5.
Yeah, as far as I knew, Dragons of Spring was still going to be published as a hardcopy product. If this has changed, I've not seen it announced anywhere yet.

Thank you KnightErrantJR,
I'll hang on and see what happens, I guess the download will still be available even if they pull the hardcopy.
Dragons of Spring is coming in hardcopy. Dragons of Spring and Lost leaves are their last two productions to come out before the end of the licence, which margaret weis press can sell till June, and then only 3rd parties from there.
Dragons of Spring is definitely a real thing, and is at press. We wouldn't finish the license without finishing off the classic trilogy of adventures. :)
So what is the design philosophy unpinning this conversion? Are these pretty much identical to the original series or...?
I, like many others loved the original series but I think it was chalk full of problems. I'd be very interested in a retake that made a concerted attempt to fix some of the weak points with the series but obviously that sort of a philosophy runs the risk of possibly straying to far from cannon.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the responses. I wasn't trying to catch anyone out, I'm just keen to complete the trilogy in 3.5.
As for the design philosophy Jeremy, well I have to confess that I'm in the middle of Shackled City so have not read too much. Seems to be an improved version of the original and fills in some of the gaps. If there is something in particular you are concerned to see changed or added I can check for you.

PS Vic, I'll order Dragons of Spring through Paizo as soon as its available.
Thanks for the info. Nothing to much specifically comes to mind though the bit between modules where the DM is to attack the players with hobgoblins nonstop until they decide to visit the Silvanesti was particularly grating in the first edition version of the modules.
Got to demo this one at Gen Con, and met Cam Banks. We were told we were helping work out the kinks. I played Gilthanas, and had a rollicking good time. My timely magic missile saved our group from being frostbitten by the evil elven mage (Who is definately pumped up in this edition). Our tasselhoff was awsome, and on the dime for character. Our knightly Sturm led our tactics.
A good time was had by all!
=)
It is sad that Wizards is taking Dragonlance away from MW publishing. They make great products that they believe in.
