Help! My tact tiles are deteriorating and I need a new set!!! I seem to recall Lisa saying some time ago that the company that made them might come back from the dead and start making them again. It's looking like that's not going to happen, so is there any chance you good folks at Paizo might step up on this one? I needs me some tact tiles!!!
P.S. Barring Paizo manufacturing them, anyone have any advice as to who I could hire to make such a product for me? I realize that it is probably a relatively simply project, but it's not at all within my skillset. In order to do it, I would have to purchase tools which would most certainly exceed the cost of having someone else do it (assuming, of course, that even given the tools, I could in fact manufacture such a thing and come out the other end with all my digits).
Assuming we are talking about the plastic squares that link together, I have a set that I do not ever use and would gladly part with at very little cost...

They're like puzzle pieces and you can use dry erase markers - does that sound like what you have? If so, you are a god among men! I'll shoot Paizo and email and see if they mind forwarding on my email information to you so we can discuss. I'd be happy to take them off your hands!

Yeah thats the ones I have. My wife bought them for me a few years ago but I never really liked them...I am set in my ways of the old Chessex battlemats. I think I may have used them like 2 or 3 times. Let me know.

Awesome. I've asked Paizo to forward on my email address, so hopefully we'll touch base shortly. Thanks DMRrostarr, I can't say how much I appreciate this.

I am also in the camp of willing to buy any 'tact-tile like' product from Paizo. Last time they went on eBay they cost like $200. Don't take that as a pice recommendation but it is one point on the supply and demand curve.
Just to throw it out there, I was thinking they should be metal with a white board drawing surface. That way you can use magnets like Alea Tools. I was even thinking of asking the "Board Dudes" (they make all sorts of white boards) to give me a price quote.

$211.00 actually, counting shipping, but at least they were in like new condition.
I am trying desperately to find some good linoleum tiles (like used to carve and make linoleum stamps) that have a dry or wet erasable surface that I could cut into the proper shape to allow them to fit together. I already have a template made and took a Chessex irregular cut mat and covered several pieces with it, but I really want to find some linoleum tiles that will work. If anyone has any ideas for a supplier let me know.
plexiglass...cut it into smaller sections. Make permanent lines on the under side and then flip it over to use it for game play with dry erase markers......
We did a variant of that a long time ago where we laid the Chessex battle mat on the table and placed a piece of plexiglass on top of it. Worked ok until we had to move to a different locations when we changed DMs....
