I'm trying to figure costs on placing a figure order. I put various of the Pathfinder minis in and because some are on back order it's giving me separate postage costs for each figure which means that I can't get an accurate indication as to what the real cost would be.

We cannot combine a non-Paizo preorder or backorder to ship with anything else. Despite the fact that they are Pathfinder miniatures, they are produced under license by another company and are not Paizo products. This is why you are getting a separate postage for the backorders.
To figure out the total price (once the preorders are available), your best bet is to use "proxy" minis which are not preorders or backorder and which cost the same. Just make sure you have the correct quantity (to get the weight right) and it should provide a pretty good indication of the total price.
