Also I have good and bad news for everybody... I got several commissions on the side that I MUST take care of that will take me at least two weeks to tackle down... these are 13 donation/paid/free magazine commissions, and I hope you'll understand I must give priority to these. I'll try to squeeze the regular stuff among these not to keep you waiting too much AGAIN...
Please be patient with me...and sorry in advance for more delays
stop apologizing and continue drawing :P we will be patient :D
magazine comissions are first, part of the whole bussiness :)
if not... well i am sure Lilith might contribute a cookie for patience... in my case i find things to do while i wait... :P
Hey people, check N'wah's Mini's thread, he have some serious good news, and could use some feedback
Thanks, Hugo!
Yeah, I'm looking to help get this whole minis thing started. Any info you want to add to either this thread, or via my e-mail address (accessible via my account info--click on my name for more) is much appreciated. :D
Great rendition! Almost exactly what I pictured. I like the detail around his collar and the stowed shield. He's constantly switching out what he's armed with depending on the situation, so that fits quite well. Thanks for the effort you put into this!
Ok, I'll try to tell as much as I can (And can remember) in the spoiler so as not to unintentionally ruin Freeport for anyone.** spoiler omitted **So ya, feel free to ask if you have any other questions, since I'm never sure if I've offered enough info and what else to put in.
Something I should probably mention is that the reason I included that link to the wiki article is for the part 2/5 down the page where it describes the differant breeds. It's the first three there that i'd like penguin-ified. Again, thanks for at least attempting it.
You were right about the madness, man. Twice during the creation of this image I was seized by uncontrollable hideous laughter. Giggle fit city. Hope you like! As the post says, I will definitely be drawing more of these nutters for you.
I have a request one of the characters in my RotRL campaign.
Malgrim Shalefist
CN male Dwarf Rogue
Appearance:
A Dwarven Rogue. This guy has ATTITUDE. He's built like a brick house. His look seems to say "You talkin' to me? YOU talkin' to ME?" as he strokes his beard. His hair and beard are dark red, and his nose looks like it has been broken a few too many times. He wears studded leather armor, and his equipment is thrown together, a hodgepodge of styles and cultures. His belt loops around his waist twice, and bugles with pouches and equipment. Potions, poisons, flasks of acid, tools, lockpicks, and various sharp objects hang on it, along with a human-made rapier, and a crude orcish dagger.
A little background for flavor:
Mal is from Riddleport. His father worked the gas forges, and growing up, the young dwarf quickly realized the traditional dwarven life of toil wasn't for him. He joined the collection of thugs and brutes that make up Riddleport's watch, and was soon making a pretty penny in bribes and protection fees. Soon though, he crossed another thug who was just a little too tough and had to flee down the coast, finding himself in a little backwater called Sandpoint...

Oh, I like hodgepodges of styles and cultures! I'd be happy to cobble something together for you over the next couple of days.

That'd be wonderful. Thanks so much.
I love it when a character's equipment tells a story about where he's been and what he's done. A +1 lonsword taken off an evil warrior, armor looted from a bugbear, a cloak of resistance taken off a drow priestess, etc. Each of those would look wildly different. And IMO makes the character more interesting.
In Mal's case, the rapier is from a human sailor and the dagger is from a half-orc mercenary. I'll leave you to develop the rest.

...I can honestly say that I don't know how to respond to this...It's awesome and I love it and now I can't stop chuckling maniacally, but all of that seems kind of not enough. You did that a lot faster (and in colour) then I was expecting, and it came out amazing. In fact, it is now my current favorite monster drawing (and I just finished Denizens of Avadnu, previous holder of favorite monster pics). I can't wait to spring it on my players. "The priest gestures and the gates fall and you are assaulted by a pack of THESE! *holds up picture*". Ya, that'll be awesome! I'm glad you had so much fun with it and I can't wait to see how the rest turn out. (Hopefully by then I'll have some more adequate praise prepared.) So ya, once again; Thanks!

I'm glad you like it. I was pretty happy with it myself. I may actually touch it up a little bit. Part of the wing could use a thicker outline, I think.
If you give me your e-mail address I can send you the jpeg file, which will probably be better quality than what you get from just doing a "save image" from the blog.

Hey, can someone draw Drinta Coppersworth? He's a coppery-red kobold, and wields a knife. Check out his backstory for more info.
Pretty much everything else can be left to the artist, but you get bonus points if you do an extra with him wearing...you guessed it...a dancing top hat!
Thanks. :)
I have looked at the various examples of the art available on this thread, and from a non-artist I would have to compliment everyone on some fantastic art. I can barely draw something from Order of the Stick. With that being said I would like to offer up a couple of commissions at present. Whenever someone gets a “roundtoit” feel free to attempt them.
Spoiler:
1) Zaggorm Greysnake, a male half-orc, Barbarian 3, 23 yo, 6’8”, 305 lbs, Str 18, Dex 15, Con 15, Int 12, Wis 14, Cha 12. Deity: Cayden Cailen. Region: Red Mountains.
Weapons: an Earthbreaker, a Halberd, a Short Sword, and a Short Bow (possibly made of a rib bone of an animal of some type).
Armor: a Mithral Shirt.
Equipment that could be seen: Backpack, Belt Pouch, 50’ Hemp Rope, Bedroll, Tankard, Climbers Kit, Reinforced Scarf (8’ long).
2) Hurznag Bleakfire, a male Half-orc, Druid 4, 22 yo, 6’, 290 lbs, Deity : Gozreh, Region: Stoney Mountains.
Weapons: Scythe, Shortspear (x3 in quiver), Club, Heavy Sickle, Sling.
Armor: Hide Shirt +1(possibly from a large lizard).
Equipment that could be seen: Backpack, Bedroll, Scroll case, Lantern Hooded, Belt Pouch (x2), 50’ Hemp Rope, Waterskin, Quiver for shortspears, 2 potions, 3 wands.
Animal Companion: Waylin, Timberwolf.
I hope someone might be interested in attempting these PC’s. As for their physical appearance I have no real feelings either way. Let your imagination run free. Thank you all for your hard work.

Just my 2 cp.
Ah, half-orcs! I will make some time to do some sketches.
By the way, I have Mal Shalefist's sketch done, but am going to resist posting it until I have added color.
W.O.W.!!! Never seen Immora's work! AMAZING!!!! Why isn't she/he posting more of that cool stuff!!!!
Aw, thanks Hugo. Thank's really sweet of you to say... and it's "she", by the way.
Anyway, I'd originally posted this in a dead thread, so I hope no one minds me re-posting it here. I took a swing at doodling Crow's dwarven cleric whilst drinking at the sausage house this weekend. So, here's Fitz Carrin

Amazng Immora!
We are getting some nice and refreshing new styles here!
Great work on shiny! And Yes Jason, I'll take care of your character for Shiny, I'll try a different style on it if you don't mind.
Do you recall how I described him? It's somewhere in this thread..
He send me an email with the description. If I need anything I'll let you know. Please be patient since I have lots of stuff in the Inbox still...
Its been over a week and I still can't upload a thing... WHen I get green light to upload the mag commissions I hope I'll make up for this "idle" time.

Honest feedback/constructive criticism appreciated. I'm not sure how happy I am with the color version. Oh, and the belt turned out to be kinda ludicrous.

since I am no artist myself i can exactly give a good critic about the drawings... still i like the black & white version of Malgrim... even whe he has a broken nose (that is how it looks)
the color one... i like the hair... butthe rest of the combinations... i am not sure about it...
Of the two, I like the black and white version of Malgrim more. You did a great job of capturing the defiant/somewhat crazy look in his eye, and I really like the dagger.

Coooool! I must say that your style looks nicer on black and white. Maybe to add color you need a very specific technique.

Maybe... or maybe I just haven't yet mastered the ol' photoshop. I will keep trying.

for the stle i like more the things thatyou do as the pinguin...
not coloring the interior.. bt maybe using different colors to draw, i feel it would look better
Okay, my first attempt was a total flop. Trying to draw with a sprained thumb and a head cold, not a good idea. Anyways, this is the first go at Marigold, the cleric. Madgael, if you can let me know what elements of the drawing you do and don't like, that would be immensely helpful in getting a better version, that doesn't have such a strong resemblance to Christopher Robin, done.
Oh, and just to add to my off week, I also did this little gem. It looks like it was done by a ten year old. Sigh. I don't remember who originally requested it, but feel free to ask for a re-do as well.

Okay, up next, the half-orcs. Actually, I thought someone said "halfling-orcs" and came up with this rudimentary sketch.
Nyuk-nyuk. I'll work on the fierceness and my wandage. Yeah, that's intended to be a wand in his left hand, but it looks more like incense or a torch, or an incensed torch. Pffft. Druids.
