Thanks to all who served, I have to make sure I thank the Vietnam vet in my office who fought at Hue City.

God bless you all! Thank you!

Thank you all.

Applebee' is offering a free meal to all veterans and active duty service personel. All the detil are on their website. Then on Monday Golden Corral will be holding their annual Military Appreciation Day. The will also be providing free meals to all veterans nd active duty service members.

We call it Remembrance Day up here in Canada. My Grandfather joined the navy to see the end of WWII and he served through the Korean War. I love listening to his stories. Respect is an all year thing. Spend time with those that served, listen to their stories, and appreciate them while they're here. The crowds seem to get smaller every year.

well; bit salute to all my veteran brothers in arms out there; and thank you to all you who have remembered and wished us all well; it really is nice to be a bit appreciated. Makes the harsh memories of certain thing hurt a bit less; thanks all of you.

It is also Martinsmass in most parts of the world.

Your service is appreciated.

Thank you to all who served and especially the many who gave their lives to ensure that the values we hold dear -freedom, justice, peace and the rule of law- remain for our generation and the generations to come.

Whether it's my place or not as an honorably discharged veteran I would like to say to all those expressing thanks "Your very welcome"

Yes the military has some real nut jobs in it and like any system it has it's flaws but I will always remember my service as one of the best times of my life and I loved it more than I hated it.
Trust me their are some really suckey parts to working 16 +hr days cause you have to or eating food that has "not fit for human comsumption" on it. This stuff you cant feed to prisoners because it violates their civil rights but you can have the sailors and marines chow down on it.
Then theirs the days that make up for it, like being able to rock & roll on a 50 cal or see places you've only dreamed of visiting. I am the only person in my family to have ever been to jerusalem, nazareth, the french rivera, have a sword made of spanish steel direct from spain. Party so hard you cant remember what you did the night before.

I know this: even the guys that are just there for the G.I.Bill or the check or whatever reason they might have once they get in the realization of what they are a part of and the responsabilty they have been intrusted with changes us all, hopefully for the better.

Remembering the history of the day itself, the day of the armistice at the end of WWI, leads me to thank the soldiers of the allies in both world wars for fighting against the agressor - namely, Germany in both cases. Even in the first world war, the german army committed war crimes, the biggest being probably attacking Belgium and practically destroying the country. The second world wars atrocities are well known. (With that history in mind, perhaps Germanys hesitant stance regarding german soldiers in wars today becomes a little more understandable.)

I thank all soldiers past, present and future who defend freedom and the universal human rights everywhere on the world. At the same time, I still dream that one day we won´t need their services anymore.

Stefan

Thank you.
