The tone at the end of the article makes it sound like they're downplaying the incident. I don't care if she was only 5'1". A fit, in-shape dancer kicking you with a heavy platform heel? That could do some damage if she connects in the right spot. Given the layouts of those clubs, his head was probably in the right spot to get kicked...

In other news, here's one of those what the heck were you thinking?! stories.

I'm curious what she shoplifted, because if it was formula, that would be pretty ironic.

Well, it does say at the end of the article that another woman, the child's mother, was also charged. So at least it wasn't the mother of the baby that threw her.

People in a good mood see more of the world around them?

Kinda funky, that mood could affect perception in this way.

Pretty cool. The average brain processes 400,000 bits of data per second, but we're only aware of around 2,000 bits. While the 400,000 includes the smallest details related to autonomic function, etc., you can't help but wonder how much we're really experiencing without knowing it.

Pakistani villagers get fed up with Taliban fighters after a suicide bombing at a mosque.

I'll be happy to see more stories like this, perhaps with words like 'Palestinians' instead of Pakistani. Foreign fighters from Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, etc. show up, launch rockets into Israel from the cover of Palestinian communities, and then melt back into the woodwork, leaving the Palestinians to get their homes bulldozed and their people shot in the inevitable response. It's long past time the Palestinians started shooting any whackjob who shows up with a rocket launcher to 'save them' from the Israelis, 'cause it's not their cushy homes in Saudi Arabia that're gonna get targetted for reprisal...

It's easy to stereotype advocacy groups as being anti-conservative, but then they go and do their jobs, sticking up for the people they've always stuck up for, and it's considered shocking, because they've been demonized by political pundits for so long.

Like when the ACLU filed a brief in defense of Larry Craig, on the basis that if a bathroom stall has a door *and a lock,* it can be reasonably interpreted as not being a 'public space' for the purposes of public indecency laws. Many people would just knee-jerk assume that the ACLU is a 'liberal' organization, as opposed to being a civil liberties organization that will defend a conservative who is, in their eyes, being wronged by what seemed a pretty cut-and-dried case of entrapment and police harassing someone into 'confessing' to avoid trouble, as anyone else.

I just found it humorous that a left-leaning group said something, given how so many other left-leaning organizations were saying that she was making a big deal out of nothing.

Too bad they were silent when she was being capped on in September and October leading up to the election. People were saying some pretty greasy stuff about her then, too.

Also it is a bit misleading. They say by going nude they save on laundry bills. But if you have to be dressed to get to the place you are going nude, then you still have to wash those clothes. Also by going nude, unless you want to get skin cancer on vital parts, this means using MORE sunscreen which again, can't be great for the environment as it washes off, not to mention all the pollution made to create it and its containers.
