Hi, I'm Joe's wife Shari, I wanted to ask for prayer for Joe. Friday night he had a brain bleed. At Beaumont, they did a CAT scan and saw blood at the base of his skull. They don't know where the blood came from, but it's in his cerebral fluid and is irritating his brain. He's on Morphine for the pain. Joe's talking, ...alert, weak and tired. He needs low stimulation and darkness. He's in ICU for next 2 weeks.
Man, that really sucks! I'll definitely be praying for him tonight.

Many years ago, I was a young member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at the University of Southern Mississippi. Our philanthropy was Cystic Fibrosis, for which we held a fundraiser every year.
The year I was chosen to head the fundraising was the second year of a very successful program called the Sports Challenge. That year, for the first time, our poster child was the son of a local fire fighter, a young boy by the name of Nicholas Hendry.
I have just learned that Nicholas died shortly after his 18th birthday. R.I.P. Nicholas.
My best high school friend had cystic fibrosis. I miss him. :(

My mom found out she had lung cancer 18 months ago. She didn't want to get it treated, because she didn't think treatment did anything to help both her parents. Today she found out the cancer has moved into her brain. She's paralyzed on one side, and she's got anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks to live.

They named a ship after Hammond in one of the movies due to this, if recall correctly.

Why can't I get a friggin' job!!! I am sick of smoozing idiots that act like the crappy job that I am applying for is "really difficult" and needs "special training" to do. I've done that job before, A-hole, I have more experience than you and would out-perform every member of your damned staff without any problem! Of course the P.C. Fakey has to simply point out all the relevant skills on his resume' and keep sucking up to try to get the friggin' stupid-assed $9 hr entry-level job.
On top of all that my wife originally talked me into quitting my previous career to raise our kids and now, because I've been trying for 6+months and 30+ applications to find a real job and can't, and the piddling wages my @ss is willing to settle for at this point just to get into the door at a place, she is treating me like crap. No respect, belittling attitude, talking badly to her family about me....
For Better or for Worse, remember that? How about being a bit supportive? Don't think I won't kick your @ss out, I don't need this crap.....

Mothman, I am a good carpenter/construction worker, I've worked in warehouse environments doing a wide variety of jobs from Pick/packing to Quality Control Management, I was a runner for a mortgage company, I worked for 5 years as an IT tech at DuPont in Delaware, laborer, Pro Sales at a Home Depot, Computer sales at the Buy More...I mean...Best Buy, and way back I used to collect loan payments for a loan shar...er...a Moneylender in Atlantic City, NJ.Mostly I have been looking for a job in Construction, Warehouse, Sales, and IT. I have resorted to casting a wide net and hoping.
All I know is now I've seen the wifey's true colors after 13 years together and I am not happy with what I've seen. She is a totally different person to me now and it sucks.
Wow, a wide range of job skills! I wonder if there is anyone in this great Paizo community who might know of anything going, or point you in a good direction?
As for the wife issue … yeah, that’s bad man. I haven’t been in your situation, but I have been in situations where a partner rags on my career choice, money making potential or career aspirations. It’s not nice. I won’t insult you by offering you any advice (I don’t know enough about your situation and relationship), but I hope you can work something out one way or another.
You know, I’ve often heard it bandied about as fact that a man will eventually resent it if he’s with a woman that makes more money than him. That may be true in many cases, but in my experience its been that women often resent being with a man who does not earn as much as them …

Dude sorry to hear about the wife situation but try to remember maybe she's scared. Financial insecurity will make people do some really dumb stuff.
The only advice I can offer for the job hunt is to make sure your resume isn't all inclusive. When I am applying for a IT job they don't need to see my experiance as a hog farmer because it has no bearing. I darn sure aint gonna tell'em about my time as a collection agent with my dads bounty hunting gig. I gotta outta that real quick after his partner was killed by a woman over a lousy 200 dollar bond.I would like to send out a thank you to everyone on the list because after reading about real issues my little financial problems seem too minor to even mention. I have to come up with 2 grand within the next 4 weeks to take a mandatory course as laid down by the DoD and if I don't take and pass the course then I am fired but at least I have MY health, family and friends so all in all life aint too bad. Yes it sucks but not as much as others. To E7 and Taig my prayers and support. To fake healer try craigs list in your area and check out The local Army core of engineers I KNOW they are hireing in vicksbug and all over. Good luck.
