Sooo, if I happened to have a moral dilemma, you guys would be the ones to talk to right?
I would. What is it?
Well, the Jacks recently decided to go to war against the slaads. Not really unusual. I figured it was all good fun, everybody fights and then it's over. But then the guys kinda went overboard with the power gloating and Ambrosia Slaad is really ticked. I feel bad. She's my friend. But I'm a Jill and my loyalty is supposed to be with them. And I was actually really proud of them for winning, as sick as that probably is. I'm just not sure what the right thing to do is at this point. No matter what I do someone I care about ends up ticked off with me.
Hmm. Well, you are clearly loyal to the Jacks, but have loyalties to one of their enemies. It's tough. But, none of it is your fault. You are loyal to your family, and loyal to your friend. You cannot choose one over the other, nor should you. The Jacks probably will not strike again, and if they do, you can stop them. Just comfort your friend, I guess, and help her out. You can keep the Jacks from bugging her. I'm not really all that good at advice, but that's mine.
Somehow describing the Jacks as my family makes what I was doing last night seem very, very wrong. Congratulations, you've managed to trade one moral dilemma for another.

Um...well, they're like family in a frat party. Is that alright? I feel like this is one moral dilemma I should support.

As Ambrosia's sister, I'm sure she wouldn't want you to have to choose. Many of us step over the line and everyone makes mistakes (well, except those residents of Mechanus). She's been extra moody this last week, so don't blame the Jacks and certainly don't blame yourself. If it wasn't this, something else would have set her off. She definitely didn't want to come between you and your family.

Just give her a little time for her to cool off, ok? If you want, you can always pop by the thread, but we slaadi do seem to be more preoccupied with picnics than parties.

{orders another mimosa} Do you want a drink?

Yes a drink sounds wonderful, she said, starting to perk up. So, you're Ambrosia's sister. She mentioned you once. It's a pleasure to meet you.

No, we definitely haven't met before.

I see what you mean about the wardrobe.

This is the number for a company that makes special orders for indestructible self-regenerating clothes. There's a bit of a wait for them, but after having my bikini vaporized so many times I think it's worth it. My shipment should be getting here tomorrow. I'm so excited about it. Anyways, I bet they could make a really nice catsuit for you if you wanted. It's really expensive though, so make sure not to use your own credit card.

Oooo, thank you. {already dreaming of new wardrobe}

Yeah, Ambrosia seems to be much more into bikini's and beachwear stuff. I seem to like more, um, exotic apparel. Just like she seems to be naturally more drawn to darker moods, and I'm generally more happy-go-lucky.

Nah. I think she mentioned something about you had a hunky boyfriend? I don't know your BF, but sometimes guys forget to naturally show their appreciation and affection. So, when you buy something nice for yourself and he pays for it, you're just helping him. Besides, I think they all dread shopping and they have a hard time getting sizes and styles right... so you're even saving him all the hard work. {sips mimosa, starts trying to mentally retrace her own twisty logic in that bit of rationalizing.}

See! I knew I was right. Plus, since you shopped for him, then he didn't have a chance to forget, so there are no hurt feelings or arguments.

Ambi and I seem to be the only two girl slaadi. So when she agrees with that line of logic, I don't know if it's 'cause we're sisters or 'cause it's just common sense. The boys eyes just glaze over and then they just go back to talking about picnics and violence and implanting eggs.

lynora-Jill wrote:

I'd like to, but I'm slaad too, so the Jacks probably won't like it if I pop in. Maybe some neutral ground... I was gonna suggest here 'cause I'd heard it was a rocking club, but it seems pretty sedate now.

Yeah, I guess not until things calm down some, huh.

Oh, this place? Well, my friends Muffy, Molly, and Mindy and I wanted a girls night out, and you can't have a girls night out if you don't go out. So we kinda crashed this place and temporarily turned it into a rave. But there's no reason why we can't do that again, she said, brightening. I can get the girls together and we can have a party right here.
