Hey everybody, hope your weekend has gone better than mine. On my way to my mom's and my break line in my car burst, luckily I was able to get to her place fine. I hate saturdays.
I had a car that lost its brakes. It made driving an adventure.
Get off the footpath people! I need obstacles to help me lose momentum!
The people are helpful in that regard.
In seriousness, it was just the front brakes that were out, so I was at about 40% brake power, and I only drove the car as far as I needed to to junk it, since the car wasn't worth new brakes. I drove really slowly with one hand on the emergency brake :)

I had my hand on the e-brake the rest of the trip there, and it was my passenger rear line that went and lead to break fluid going everywhere. [sarcasem]what a fun day[/sarcasem]
also good night CH

Things are quiet when regulars are otherwise occupied.
I had my own fun today--it seems I caught an intestinal bug from one of my co-workers. Yay!
sorry to hear that taig

Dang. I had a great day! Sorry to hear some are sick and others are narrowly avoiding crashing...good thing you're okay, Woodraven. Hope you feel better soon, Taig.
Sorry to hear about the bug Taig, and sucks about it happening on your honeys B-Day. Hope it doesn't break you to get the brakes Woodraven, and glad you got there safe. But it seems everyone else had a pretty good day. So haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapy weekend all.
Sorry to hear about the brake trouble there -- it reminds me a bit of the time when the manual transmission dropped through the floor of my old Hyundai and was skittering along the road -- I had to hold it up by the gearshift the entire way home, and it was about a 50 mile drive to get ANYWHERE. Hope that you can get it fixed up soon, and that it doesn't wring your wallet too badly!
Sorry to hear about the intestinal bug, taig -- sounds like no fun at all -- be sure to keep hydrated!
Hope you and Solnes are having a good, lustful, relaxing weekend, Moorluck! Mairkurion, my fellow vegetable, I hope that today's as good for you as yesterday was. And may the rest of you also have a good Sunday!
I'm off for the nonce -- again, you might not see me until tomorrow =) .... don't let Spanky camp ya too badly! ;)
By the way, if a Leprechaun camps in a thread, and nobody else is online, does it make it sound?
Yeah, I know, that was bad .... I'm going, I'm going .... ;)
So one the players in my biweekly game had told us that his mother was very ill, but this morning when I was at the church where I sing, they were talking about a parishioner who was extremely ill, and I eventually realized that they were the same person (small world). It turns out that she has pneumonia as a complication of swine flu, and right now the prognosis is very bleak.
Please keep Phil's mom in your thoughts and prayers.

I certainly will.
Also, I had no idea you sang in a choir! You really live up to your icon/name!!

I used to be able to sing in choir...but now the choir is too high falutin' for me to be able to get by with my 50% read music/50% fake read music ability. It's another one of those things I miss but probably don't have the time for these days anyhoo.
Amazing to end up with a connection like that. Hope the mom in question pulls out of it.

I do. I'm a paid section leader and soloist, actually. I also sing with the local professional opera company.

Evening folks. What a day. Five hours spent dismembering Mairkurion's relatives and stacking the body parts in anticipation of burning them in a few months. Boy that axe and sledgehammer got real heavy towards the end!
Sow what should I call the new gish class I am working on, blademage or mageblade?
I like mageblade better. It just sounds better.
Mageblade sounds better. But truth to tell you the "blade" this or that has really had it's day. I am slowly working on a Gish class myself and the name I have settled on is Warden.

Really? I got to go with blademage. A mageblade sounds like a magic sword, blademage like a mage who wields a blade.

They had all fallen asleep anyway.
I'm surprised the monkey didn't use a chainsaw or chuck 'em into a woodchipper... much quicker and easier.
