I hope your day goes as well as mine is sure to. :)
I am "supposed" to finish at 12pm tomorrow, so hopefully it will be a good day... let's see how that pans out shall we?
I hope so. :S
And I finished at 3.15pm... back home by 3.45 and then had to go and pick up the kids from school, get them showered and fed and off to bed. So once again I had an excellent day when I didn't get to chat to anyone yet again... :/
Run Away... Run Away... Save yourself while you still can! 8O

I'm applying today for a management position in a local family restaurant chain. It's Italian-style food, and I'm sure I can land the job, it's just gonna be the old 'You're on salary so we ownz you biotch!!' kinda thing. Be interesting, that's for sure ...

I am currently exploring ways to return to my former business. It may not eventuate, but my wife has given me the green light to try and make it work again. She's not happy about how much unpaid overtime I'm doing for the ammount of money I'm being paid and so has said she's willing to let me give my business another try...

That is very good news buddy. Sorry I missed you yet again last night, maybe we'll be able to catch each other tonight.

Not your fault. Stupid work...
I finish at 3pm again tomorrow and have to pick the kids up from school again. I am going to try and get out at 2pm(ish), but we've all seen how well that's worked out in the past before right... :/
I should at least be able to get on on the weekend for a little while which will be good. I think I remember what you guys look like...

Good for you! I'm kinda ambivalent about returning to food service, for reasons I'm sure you are well familiar with. My wife and I do have the goal of opening a bakery/catering service at some point in the future, so it will be good practice for running a food-oriented business. I'm just dreading riding herd on all those young n'er do wells that these businesses seem to attract. That and doing their shifts when they call in hungover ...

Patrick, good luck with your endeavor, too.
I was always a good employee when I did my food service stint. It's probably why I got scheduled for 60-hour weeks and worked 73 days straight one summer. Not that I minded, I liked the overtime, and the only other responsibility I had was showing up for gaming 4 nights a week.

Yep. Me too back in the day. The problem is that the good folks get stressed and the bad folks skate because there is no one else to work the counter thanks to the sub-par payscale. But, needs must, and I need moolah, so ...
An unknown assailant killed Sharoth with an Arrow of Dragon Slaying. Sebastina and Dill Dotee Baggins argued over the body, and they discovered a mutual affection. Which they consummated behind the woodshed. Oh, wait, that's...what...actually...happened.
Vait, comrade, vhy doesn't that sound right? Ah, vell, I can solve everything by drinking vodka and tearing off my shirt so the vomen can admire my manly torso ....
Wow. What a trip down memory lane. I just watched 'The Dragon's Graveyard.' I knew Danny Most (Ralph Malph) did the cavalier, but Willie Aames did the ranger? Funny ..
