M. Best wishes for your uncle and you as well.
Lynora Take care of yourself and you know you can reach us whenever you need.
Flash Sorry we missed you tonight, had an offline night here to spend time together.
Sharoth Well we were waiting for a call, but we can go to bed. ;)
Anyone else? Ok guys, I'll be on again tomorrow, take care.
Sorry, but when I looked up and noticed the time... ~grins~ I figured that with the kids alseep, a call that late was not worth the chance of waking them. ~shrugs~ Oh well. Wrong call.

Thats ok. Sleep is a nice change of pace. I hear some folks get it quite regularly. ;)
Moorluck, I'm glad to hear you and Solnes had a good day together.
David, congrats on getting the Bestiary. I can see why your wife might have gotten upset with you mentioning it after she bought it. My wife has done that before, too, mostly because she doesn't want to talk about it and let it slip that she bought it.
And a Good Morning to you too Monkey Man. Have fun on your outing. :)

Probably will. One nice thing about living in a tourist trap is there are a lot of things to take visitors to do. We hit about a half-a-dozen craft fairs yesterday, and I got a lot of Xmas gifts done for surprisingly short money.
If we were meant to be vegetarian why did nature make animals taste so good?
As omnivores, I think humans can survive on a non-meat diet, as long as there is some source of protein. Not that I would ever want to do such a thing, but it is possible.
The crazies that decide to force their carnivorous pets to eat vegetarian kill me.
Edit: And with that, I'm off to the hospital. They really limit the visiting hours at the ICU, which I think is to allow the patients to recover quietly.
Mairkurion: Hope your uncle has a complete and speedy recovery. Also, Marxists are easier to dispose of if 1) you paint the wood chipper Red, 2) point out that it is classless, and 3) tell them you accidentally dropped your WWKMD (WWKarlMarxD) bracelet in it. :)
Taig: I missed your original post, so I hope whomever you are visiting recovers quickly with a minimum of pain.
Celestial Healer: Good job on the chicken marsala!
So it turns out that the argument that my wife and I had about the bestiary occured less than an hour after she had secretly ordered it for me. Now I really feel like an ass.
~chuckles~ Oh well. Give her a kiss, take her out to eat, and then take her home and give her a long massage. Or just beg for forgiveness for the next 20 years.
Well, she doesn't know that I know yet. She accidently stayed logged in to her e-mail, so when I went to check mine, there was the order confirmation.

Scarcity in the diet of a hunter-gatherer. Meat is expensive, no matter what era you live in. We've just deferred the usual cost, and now we pay for it in environmental and medical terms. It tastes so good because we were "meant" to eat it whenever we can, back when that was fairly occasional.
Mind you, I'm not vegetarian, I just don't feel I have a right to eat meat every day. I try to eat meat less than once a week if I can, but when I do, it sure is tasty.
Emperor7: Glad to hear Tracy is doing better. {fingers crossed}
Solnes: YAY! That's very good news about the kidlet!
Moorluck: Glad you seem to be recovering well.
Lynora: Hope things are going better for you today.
More for LJ:
Do you want some of my Xanax? Apparently only half a tablet of my normal dose will put non-anxious people to deep sleep within about 5 minutes. No bedtime discussions if he is conked out. :) I know you probably don't want to talk about it, so I just send you a Big Hug instead.
My nephews got here an hour ago and are still running around like maniacs. Apparently they just had waffles with syrup and large glasses of chocolate milk. So much for quiet. :)
Edit: My sister packed some Halloween candy that they brought with them, which they have been surreptitiously munching when I wasn't looking. So I guess they will be hyper for a while longer.
I will have my revenge, oh sister mine! Time to start looking for the nephews' Christmas presents... drum sets, cowbells, tambourines, or any noisy electronic toy.
Thanks to my recent talk with Sharoth, I must now locate and purchase The Wizard and the Warlord by Elizabeth Boyer.... I read that book back in middle school, and loved it.

Montreal is starting to draw to a close. Maybe will make it to Waterhouse exhibit after all. Paintings of knights and hot babes = win.

Oh...drums...the bane of any parent. :(
As the father of a girl drummer I second that. What you say again? You need to type louder.
