Hope things look up for you soon, Patrick. :( That's a real run of bad luck there, and positive thoughts and prayers will be applied from Chateau Bean ....
And thanks, folks!
I also hope that your throat situation keeps improving, Moorluck -- and careful if the weather's cold where you are also, don't need those problems ravening back, after all.
I am just doing random things around here. Taking care of kids, homework, straightening up, eating, those kinna things. :)
How is your day? Are you trying to get some relaxation in?
Let us know how Moorluck is doing when he gets back from the doctor. That sucks that he's had this thing for two weeks and it's not getting better. Take care of yourself too, and don't let yourself get overwhelmed.
Today's supposed to be a "writing" day, so I'll be working on some new Pathfinder gaming stuff (a couple of monsters and a set of magic items) and a novel. I'm probably going to have to turn off the broadband connection on my laptop to force myself to focus. :)
If I want to get work done, I go in my room without the internet cable.
I heard that Australians don't celebrate Hallowe'en.
That's Un-American!
It is true Gark.
Ambrosia, ironicly I said the same thing when Flash told me that.... are you getting ready to join the hivemind too?
I heard this like 8 years ago from somebody who lived in Australia for a few years... they went to class in their Hallowe'en costumes and everyone looked at them weird.
It's kinda a goomy place to get prodded; few worse.
I doubt I could do that, because I am very prone to nosebleeds and my nose is very easily tickled (as in sneezing when there's something up it; on the plus side, I don't pick my nose very much).
It just occured to me that since we got the kitten I am now responsible for feeding Paizo, housing Paizo, and taking care of Paizo. Do you guys realize how important I am to you all? ;)
Wait, when did you get a kitten? I'm still working on catching up on FAWTL and SOFAWTL.

Tea's good. I've been drinking a lot of Indian tea with cardamom in it, lately.
Cardamom is so delicious. Oh, crap. Now I'm hungry for pulla bread :/
(not your fault, new diet, hard not to think about food I shouldn't have just now)
I hope it's not one of those fad diets where you only drink tea or eat fig newtons... there was a Bloom County cartoon spoofing those a while back, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Anyways, IMO the best diet is exorcise.

No fad diets here. I'm just cutting out the extra sugar and all the junk food and soda. Plus plenty of exercise. Though not too much at once. Learned that lesson the hard way too. Just starting out with a half hour in the morning. I'll add another half hour of something different later in the day in the next few days. I'm trying to be sensible, but still push myself enough that I actually lose weight and get healthy.
Bryce deliberated for a very long time between Commander Cody and Captain Rex, but in the end he went with Captain Rex because he likes to be in charge. :)
My younger nephew went as Optimus. I tried to get him to let me help make it from boxes like the old cartoon, but he said no. He wanted the TF2 movie version from the store, "'cause that's what Optimus looks like now." :(
Another reason for me to hate Michael "Blow It Up Real Good" Bay.
Poor children who think *that* is the Transformers. There oughta be a law. :)
No; I usually either have the "I really haven't finished college and there's a class I have forgotten to ever attend, so I have to take the final, but if I fail the final, I can't graduate and have to retake it" dream,
or the
"I reinlisted in the armed forces but didn't know it because I was drunk, and I went AWOL as well, but I didn't know it because, again, I was drunk so I've missed 9 or so years of National Guard drills, so I'm gonna get sent to either Leavenworth or Iraq, my choice" dream.
Ugh. Hopefully your sleep tonight will peaceful and nightmare free.

Best Halloween EVAR.
Cept too many old assed kids either without costumes and a pillowcase, or wearing their Hot Topic goth crap they wear all the time anyway.
Yeah. If they're old enough to drive, they're old enough to drive to the store and buy their own candy.
Well, I say if they wear costumes then they deserve the candy; it's the spirit of the holiday that matters.
I remember some guy being pretty icy to me just because I was prematurely tall... sometimes it sucks to be tall.
Today was a bit of a bear. It started off with getting stuck on I-40 for an hour because of an accident. Then I nearly rear-ended someone who decided to stop at a green light to check for traffic to the left. Then, a whole bunch of sites decided today was the day to have weirdo, bizarro problems for me to fix.
I've also figured out I need to find a hiding place where I can check this thread during the day without Big Brother looking at all the eye-catching avatars when he walks by. Grr.
Luckily, my lovely wife decided we should go out to eat. After reading the Five Guys discussion from last night, I picked that as our destination. Yummy!
I hope things are going well for everyone else (in addition to everyone I mentioned above).
Forgotted to ask: Ambrosia Slaad, how goes NaNoWriMo?
My Vicodin story: For some reason, I decide that I'm invincible when I take Vicodin, so I usually stay away from it. A few years ago my back was hurting pretty badly, so I went to the doctor and she prescribed Vicodin. I worked from home that morning, figuring I would just conk out when I took the Vicodin. Instead, after taking it, I decided I felt fine and I could drive into work. If I had any sense, I probably would have been bothered by the idea I had about bashing my car into other cars on the highway. Luckily, I managed to decide against it. Then I got into work, and, from what my co-workers told me the next day, I was slurring my words and weaving when I walked down the hall.
Somehow I managed to get back home in time so my wife didn't know that I had done all this. Of course, the stories surfaced pretty quickly, and she was pissed off with me.
No, they prefer to just sting you to an excruciating death instead...
And then the sharks, stingrays, and blue-ringed octopi can take their turns with you.
Yep... although technically Sting Rays aren't that much of a threat (Steve Irwin not withstanding). Sharks are definately a problem, although not so much around here, more Southern Australia. Blue-ringed Octopi are very nasty but not really much of a threat unless you are stupid. I haven't heard about any kind of BRO related incident in a very long time.
And then of course you get out of the water and it's a whole nother story of deadly... :/
Is it just me, or is Australia an entire continent of fauna that wants to kill people?

It's all a piece of their pro-vampire policy that no one seems to want to talk about.
Glad your day ended well, Taig. After taking an hour or two to look through the bestiary, I am feeling more myself, those still kind of tired.
Forgotted to ask: Ambrosia Slaad, how goes NaNoWriMo?
I slacked. Getting ready to sign off to do it now. I think me picking different times every day is counter-productive.

Well, at least you weren't stuck in the hospital on it. Vengeful nurses are something to be feared.

You survived it, so now you can channel you insanity into the boards. :)
I heard someone (a comedian I think) talk about his Big Brother at work. He and some other co-workers would call his desk phone when they saw him coming, so he'd hustle back to his desk. They'd hang up and he'd usually stay at his desk a while waiting for a return call.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm more of a chocolate cream pie or apple pie person (with chocolate ice cream if a la mode), myself.

Well now. After seeing the price of a carton of Doral Cigarettes, I do not feel so bad about my massive RPG / DVD / Book collection. Said price for a carton of Doral Cancer Sticks is around $34. My ex- smoked a carton a week on average. That equals around $34 x 52 = $1768 per year. Multipy that by 5 years... $8840 or so... ~thinks~ Yea, that is about right. ~wistles~ Damn, but I am glad I do not smoke!!!

I don't know how people can even afford to smoke!
Me either. I feel guilty when I buy a RPG book that I know that I will never play. OTOH, I do try to read what I buy.
