Damn that Shadows of Cthhulu sounds nice, but I'm not a big Fan of True20. It's definately a good system, but d20 is more to my taste (and more so since PFRPG has improved on it).

No, I'm not. I used the "podcast" setting on GarageBand when I recorded that, and it did this weird EQ thing that made me sound like Barry White. My real voice sounds sort of like a cross between this, this, and this (except divide all of their ages in half, and surgically remove the cumulative talent).

I feel your pain. A few episodes ago I mentioned the thing about my voice going up and getting 'deviated septummy' right before a podcast in my rant where I list what I can't stand about myself.

Perhaps next time I podcast, I'll try and dial it back a bit and see what transpires. There's even a hint of a NY accent I don't actually own (though I've lived here since 8th grade). It's as if I've unknowingly created an energetic interviewer alter ego. That said, the bouncy giddy me might be more interesting to listen to than the sedate, deep-voiced 'cool guy'. AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! <-- What, Fonzie isn't your cool guy?

Ed and I have a couple of other podcasts almost ready to launch, and the show that I plan on doing alone has me talking quite deeply throughout, but then there's no conversation with other people. Part of my job as an interviewer is setting tone and rhythm for guests and also putting them at ease. Playing the part of clown gets nervous guests laughing and loose.

I saw Izzard live some years back.
