Some people have reported issues with the Java chatroom. Make sure you have the best version and if all else fails go back in the thread and see where Lilith has assisted others who didn't seem to be able to get it to work. I think Heathy didn't notice the place you type text at first.

There's a long white strip under where the other peoples' writing appears. Click your mouse there, type what you wanna say, and hit enter. You'll be golden.

Hah! Chatroom updated with new shiny FREE software!

What's changed:

• Java no longer required for your browser.
  
• Refreshing the page doesn't kill your connection.
  
• Smilies, bold/italic/underlined text.
  
• IRC-like commands - you can now send private messages (by typing "/privmsg User") and use the "/me" command. (There's also a setup for multiple chat channels, but I haven't dug into that yet.) "/nick" still changes your username. :)

YOU CAN NOW ROLL DICE IN THE CHATROOM.
That's right, there's a shiny new "/roll" command for your peruse and abuse. Examples:
"/roll 1d100" will roll a d100.
"/roll 2d6" will roll 2d6 and calculate them together.
"/roll 1d10-2" will roll 1d10 and subtract two.
"/roll 1d10+2" will roll 1d10 and add two.

You can't use multipliers (x2) or string together dice rolls, sorry. :(

And also, to better assist in play-by-chats and other such features, you can make private chat rooms. Simply type "/join NameOfRoom" to create the room, and a new tab will appear on the page with the name of the room. Type "/invite NameOfPerson" you'd like to invite to the chatroom.
