Chatroom alert!!!
Not only does the Paizo chatroom seem to be down again, but Internet Explorer redirects for some reason to the Chat deprivation shelter, and then immediately locks up, requiring drastic action to deal with it. :(
I do not know if this problem affects users of other browsers.
Until further updates are available from those in the know (basically Lilith or Daigle), I would advise strong caution for at least Internet Explorer users when considering attempting to go anywhere near either chatroom or deprivation shelter. :(

See below for updates. Apparently the the main chatroom is being moved around. I have no idea why the Chat Shelter seems to be playing up too, given Internet Explorer usually functions with the main chatroom.
Charles, the room is on a redirect for right now while things get worked out.
Also, I tried it with IE, Safari and Firefox on two separate computers. IE is certainly slow to load, but it eventually happened for me. The other two worked like champs (No surprise there.)
Things should be normalish soonish.

If you're using IE, click the little 'compatibility mode' icon near the address bar.
Okay, I've been tinkering a bit with the chat room settings and discovered the source of the lag, changed things which introduced a different set of quirks. Basically, if you don't manually disconnect (by clicking the globe icon beneath the chat entry box), you're stuck there like in "Hotel California". So if you want to use your name again, make sure to disconnect all-proper like. Good news is that the Chatbeast seems to have been mostly tamed...unless he's cocooned up to become the next Spawn of Rovagug.
Anyways, Karel started it by abusing his position. I abused my ability to spam 'fishslap' about 10 times. It seems to me that his punishment is more permanent.
Given that I still can't log on? That does not appear t be the case.
Karel insists that I 'apologize' for what I did, and refuses to unbanish me until then. When I protested, they mocked me, saying I was a whiner, saying I was refusing to accept the consequences of my actions. When I logged off, they said 'good riddance', and 'finally'. When I logged back on to look something up, they mocked me.
I am not going to apologize. Perhaps I might have, but I feel that getting insulted by pretty much EVERYONE in the chatroom is not something I am interested in tolerating. I am no longer interested in participating in the chatroom.
Just want to make that clear. I no longer find the chatroom enjoyable.
