Its a pain, I couldn't even get myself TO 500 yesterday. Perhaps tonight will find me writing much faster.

I am doing okay. I am not particularly happy with how I have progressed in my word count. This is my third year so I know what I need to do to stay focused. It just happened the beginning of November was really busy and now I am playing catch up. I can do it, I just wish I didn't have to.

3,000 words is a good goal and very reachable. I did much the same last year. Boy, I wish I could have done that this year.

Word count: 8,500.
Pretty much worked all last night trying to keep my buffer. Irony is cruel.
My big worry is that I'll run out of plot before I've met the 50,000 word cap thingy.

I started without a plot and still0 need to figure one out.
doing horribly, got of work 3 hours late the last two nights, and was only getting 800 words the first three. I have time off though and plan to be caught up soon. *ack*

Hey, keep it up guys.
I do this every year (this is year 5 for me) and for those wondering at the size of the project and how feasible it is, it's day 14 and I closed the day with over 45,000 words. It's possible and even likely I will finish the word count tomorrow... though the story is likely to continue for a while yet.
For those needing help to keep writing, I strongly recommend write-or-die or a communal write-in where someone is giving you leverage to help you get your word count in.
Write or die:

The idea is that you set a preset goal (in number of words or time) and until you meet that goal, nasty things happen if you stop typing for more than a few seconds at a time.

Hope those of you still working on novels are still getting the words out. Today should mark 30,000 words for those still trying to get to 50k by the end of the month.

I will not make he 50K unless the holidays provide for 24 hour writing. but considering I am writing every day that has less than 10 work hours in it, I am still considering myself to have won!
Good luck and keep at it all!

Seriously, Write or Die helps. I've been using it since you posted it up here, and I got my word count from 18,000 to 22,000, making up for the day before (in which I did hardly anything).
As of yesterday, I'm at 29,000 words and very excited!

I'm at 29k and some change. However I have all of next week off for the holidays (that and my job ends tomorrow, and I already made plans so I won't be able to start any new employment until the 30th) so I'll have little trouble catching up I think.
