looks great

I'm back open for commissions.

I'm gonna start trying to contribute to this thread. I've been having a need to draw some monstrous stuff.

Guys, if you don't mind I'd like to ask for your render of a Butterfrog :D

Its a large toad/froggie like creature some 6" wide, with a discret bettle like carapace to protect gossamer bettle-dragonfly wings. The thingie looks more like a toad-frog than a bettle and from a distance it appears like a regular toad/frog. the spread wings may be around 15".

This is my cartoonish version, but feel free to do it as you may imagine it.

Thanks!

I'll give this a try. Obviously other people can do it as well. I think it would be pretty neat to see lots of different takes on it. But I thought I'd let you know that at least one person is working on it.:)

I would like to see a MANFRO creature; this is a segmented, parasite creature that has a maw at front and a acidic gas ejector at the rear. This creature has humanoids as segments seperated by a couple feet of ghe creature. the creature burrows through a humanoiod stomach - not stopped by armor or anything else, threw the back and joins the victim to become part of the MANFRO.

so imagine a powerful creature that has wizards and warriors and monks and whatnot facing back to front or backwards; the creature attacks by snaking around and each of the segements fights; the creature animates each person of the segment and can use their memories and powers if they have any. If each segment has about 50 hit points; if you destroy a middle section; the creature breaks in half and you have two creatures; so it is best - but dangerous - to fight the front or rear sections.

This is an epic creature in my world that I think the original idea came from Palladium.

I'm going to use that crag drake in my All Hallow's Eve PbP.
Truly an excellent speciman of a subspecies of dragon.

I am currently working on a setting for a cousin of mine who will be in Iraq soon -Valley of Blue Snails

One of the setting specific critters is called a Sky-Shell, essential behemoth snails that have little villages upon them. Here is my meager attempt at one :Sky-Shell. Anyhow, if anyone wants to give it a shot we would be grateful.

looks really cool

letssewhatothers can do with the idea

My wife has just started with Photoshop and a Wacom tablet; here is one of her first works. It's a mount for a fallen paladin in one of her roleplays, although I like to think of it as the offspring of the Sandpoint Devil and a Nightmare.

LINK

Edit: I'd link her stuff from Deviant Art, but I can't see it at work. I'm sure it can be found by searching for artist Towim.

awesome 'horse' Vendle, added your wife to my watchlist... for those interested and lazy (or practical) Towim

Thanks for the link Montalve. I also added her to my watch list. Her stuff is really cool.

aye it is :)

one of the 1st I saw and really liked was the druid riding a horse, beautiful image... je and loved the expresion on Freya's face(their dog)

Thank you for the feedback! I love sharing her work when I can (I have no talent for drawing myself). Currently she's working on a character picture of her desert elf riding a horse (again the horse; methinks she likes them), but she says when she's done with it she'll try to add some more line drawings and things that don't take quite so much time individually.

I find your suposicions about yourwife equnal tasting to be rushed... you needto wait and see if it really is so... :P

still beautiful horses she draw.

Hey, Hugo, sorry I haven't posted here. Only recently realized what a Butterfrog is.

Does it have any particular abilities, other than flying? Should it be playable? I'm thinking, yes, but it's your choice.

I believe it would have synergy craft: Drawing & Coloring, Inpiration (as Bards), and some Illusions in the backdrop :P

Actually I've given very litle thought on that. Originally I planned to make the magical beast, smart but not actually intelligent, and making the very arcane-useful bordering also on the fey side, but I never got to develope them. I don't think they would be playable, but its an axpect that would be quite cool to explore, I'm thinking gripplis with wings and a few arcane skills :D

Really? Okay then. It seems like the Board has powers of rendering even normally non-sentient creatures intelligence, thus explaining why Butterfrog himself is intelligent.

I'll get to work soon.

Sorry Hugo :( Didn't mean to abandon this thread. I just sort of got sucked in to the whole free-form roleplaying thing and well...

I love the goblin even if it does give me the heebie-jeebies. Okay, because it gives me the heebie-jeebies. But you already know I'm part of the Hugo Solis fan club :)

mmm forgot this one...
i would have to check which ones are pending :P

I'd like to try this, but it might be a while, as it is now third on my list.

I'm glad that this monster is different than the image that was conjured up by its name in my head: a giant, anthropomorphic afro. I may have to do a sketch of that, just the same. ;)

Tarren Dei, here is your requested orifice. Won't your players love to be snuggled and caressed by this tentacled aberration?

Fantastic stuff, Golem. Your style meshes well with these kinds of monsters.

Thanks! Yeah, I think my style works well with monsters, too. I tend to want to have lots of writhing and quirky details in my images, and aberrations and other ugly beasties are prime material to be filled with such swirly and crusty line work.

Agreed, you should give the rest of Tarren Dei's stuff a try.
