Who's opening for them?

If I remember correctly, the band opening for The Police is called Friction Plane. It is a British rock trio whose lead singer is Sting's son. My brother went to their Houston concert and said the kid sounds just like his old man.

Got my case of Night Below minis yesterday - split between myself and a friend. All in all, we got some pretty good stuff: All the Large Dragons, The Flesh Golem, Raistlin Majere, the Noble Salamander, among other things. And we only got four of those idiotic Bluespawn things. Not really a bad hall, and I've got some stuff to either sell off or trade.

Oh yeah - The Philadelphia concert by The Police is only 9 days away!

I'm jealous as can be. My group and I buy 2 cases per set and I never get the dragons no matter what. This time, I got 1! Out of 24 packs!

I did get a good spread though. The only figures we didn't get this time are (in order that I would like to have them): White Dragon, Orc Banebreak Rider, Shadow Dragon, Skeletal Courser, Exarch of Tyranny, and the awful looking mini of Wulfgar.

Though I haven't counted recently and we do have a few hundred other minis as well, it appears we have about 900 DDM. Wow.

Be careful with that, I couldn't stand being the parent on the sideline either during my eldest son's baseball games. Ended up coaching little league and umpiring.

Not an issue, I have enough self control to keep myself out of situations where I might want to backhand other peoples kids... Um, nor do I backhand my own kids...

I have started helping the team warm up, but I consider it the coaches job to deal with him during the game. I only 'help' when she has to put him on the sideline for a while...

OK. In light of all the other good things, this may seem petty... but there you have it.

Yesterday, after seven years of dealing with his whining, complaining, back-biting, self-aggrandizing, self-important crap, not to mention being the "cancer" in the office, the lead paralegal in my firm resigned.

It's always nice to have someone who gets paid almost as much as I do, who resents my law degree, and wants to argue about my every decision. Especially when, in the eyes of the boss, he can do NO wrong.

Wonder who he had pictures of?!?

Anyway...despite the turmoil of trying to hire and train a new paralegal, it's a very GOOD THING that he's leaving. Everyone in the firm agrees we'll all be happier. I've even heard comments of reliefs from OTHER firms that he deals with on a regular basis.

Think I may need to throw a party.

That certainly is not petty. It takes a huge load off your shoulders, gives you a reason to breath a nice sigh of relief, aaaand, makes forty hours of your week more enjoyable for you. That's a pretty big deal.

I had a wonderful day. My mother-in-law took me "school clothes shopping" I felt like a little kid. She decided that I needed new clothes for college. (she hates the holes in my knees, but hey, the horses don't care) We had lunch and got hubby some birthday presents. All in all a good day.

Yea I want to go "school" shopping. I guess I would have to go to school again though. Aren't holes in the knees back in anyhow? I have them in the inner thigh of my pants from barb wire fences. ( I have short legs and the fences always seem to be tall)

Glad you had a good day.

Took the kids to the Museum today and looked at all the dinosaurs and Egyptian stuff. They had fun, I was grateful for AC.

I couldn't agree more about the fences!

It's the Museum of the Rockies here in Bozeman, MT it is where Jack Horner does alot of his work and currently on display is The tomb of King Tut. It has a exact replica of him as well as furniture and jewelry. It was great to go and see but I didn't get to send much time with the Egyptian display as it is hard to read all the descriptions when the 4 year old wants to go and see the dinosaurs and the 1 year old wants out of the stroller. It will take a few more trips before I get to see it all. Good thing we are members.

I studied French Existentialism in college. Probably one of the most challenging humanities courses in school, mostly because the material is worded so particularly (Being and Nothingness, I'm looking at you) and because our professor actually expected us to learn it, rather than just saying "Oh, art students. I don't expect much." Made it really rewarding to get that A and be able to have further proof that I ROCK at existence!
