Coming up on my 10 year anniversary at work. In this economy that's an accomplishment.
To celebrate, the boss made some snacks and handed me the company 'thank you'. Not as much money as they did in the past but still it's a good plus right before the holidays.
The wife and I upgraded our phones today - we each got a Blackberry. Had to order them through the website, however, since we wanted "no-camera" phones. We should get them in this week sometime.
NOVEMBER 2009 IS ALMOST GONE!!!!! This has been one of the suckiest months I have experienced for a long time, a few hours at Dragonmeet yesterday aside, and I will be relieved to see the end of it.
Less than 29 hours of November left on the clock here in the UK at the time of posting... :D
And I have good news too: I won National Novel Writing Month a second year in a row today! And my mom is buying me a winner's T-shirt this time! And my order from Paizo is shipping - that's ALWAYS a good thing!
Unless one of the ones you don't get to is the best one on the planet and you never get to know about it....
I know, I'm taking my Evil 101 test tomorrow and thought I'd get in the mood....
...
Bah.
Well, one of the new arrivals is the d20 Dragonlance stuff. Which just makes me super squishy levels of nostalgically happy.
Even if my wife won't ever, ever, EVER let me play a Kender.
Less than 12 hours of November 2009 left here in the UK!!!
<Stabs November with a two-handed battleaxe, attempting to polish it off early.> <Realises a two-handed battleaxe is not piercing weapon, and hacks at November, power-attacking, instead.>

My grandmother has moved into a retirement home and she sold her house in California (it just about killed me to see the empty house in the listings). Mixed in with that bad news, she decided to give her grandchildren a fairly sizable gift from the sale of the house. I'll be able to afford to go to PaizoCon and my wife and I will be able to do something nice for our 20th anniversary.

Ah, bittersweet. Well, glad to hear there's good with the bad and that you'll make the con.

We order so much stuff at the studio where I work that our supplier gave us each a $75 Best Buy certificate to encourage us to stay with them. And since none of my family want electronics for Christmas a certain production artist has pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 2.
Despite being a rabid Nippon Ichi fan, I only recently discovered Soul Cradle(Soul Nomad). I picked it up for exactly 16 dollars and my jaw has hit the floor with how good this game is. Sure, you've played one JSRPG you've played them all, but something about this game is magical.
I hope so. I said to her that would invite her to SF or Seattle (my treat), so most likely she will pay for her trip to SF and have my pay for her trip to Seattle :D.
Hopefully the artsy job will pay for both trips....hopefully.
