Will be getting back to the Big Apple for Christmas!

Coming up on my 10 year anniversary at work. In this economy that's an accomplishment.

To celebrate, the boss made some snacks and handed me the company 'thank you'. Not as much money as they did in the past but still it's a good plus right before the holidays.

The wife and I upgraded our phones today - we each got a Blackberry. Had to order them through the website, however, since we wanted "no-camera" phones. We should get them in this week sometime.

NOVEMBER 2009 IS ALMOST GONE!!!!! This has been one of the suckiest months I have experienced for a long time, a few hours at Dragonmeet yesterday aside, and I will be relieved to see the end of it.
Less than 29 hours of November left on the clock here in the UK at the time of posting... :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

And I have good news too: I won National Novel Writing Month a second year in a row today! And my mom is buying me a winner's T-shirt this time! And my order from Paizo is shipping - that's ALWAYS a good thing!

Having too many RPG's to ever have any chance of playing them all.

...

I think that's a good thing?

Unless one of the ones you don't get to is the best one on the planet and you never get to know about it....

I know, I'm taking my Evil 101 test tomorrow and thought I'd get in the mood....

Looking over your transcript you... you haven't met your minion hour requirements. I'll need you to come clean my room.

Bah.

Well, one of the new arrivals is the d20 Dragonlance stuff. Which just makes me super squishy levels of nostalgically happy.

Even if my wife won't ever, ever, EVER let me play a Kender.

I'm really not sure why...

My grandmother has moved into a retirement home and she sold her house in California (it just about killed me to see the empty house in the listings). Mixed in with that bad news, she decided to give her grandchildren a fairly sizable gift from the sale of the house. I'll be able to afford to go to PaizoCon and my wife and I will be able to do something nice for our 20th anniversary.

Ah, bittersweet. Well, glad to hear there's good with the bad and that you'll make the con.

We order so much stuff at the studio where I work that our supplier gave us each a $75 Best Buy certificate to encourage us to stay with them. And since none of my family want electronics for Christmas a certain production artist has pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 2.

Despite being a rabid Nippon Ichi fan, I only recently discovered Soul Cradle(Soul Nomad). I picked it up for exactly 16 dollars and my jaw has hit the floor with how good this game is. Sure, you've played one JSRPG you've played them all, but something about this game is magical.

You betcha! And is 80% likely that the wife is coming. It was 100% sure but now she wants me to take her to San Francisco instead/also :P

With the money from the contract, you can afford to do both, right?

Have fun in San Francisco, Hugo!

I hope so. I said to her that would invite her to SF or Seattle (my treat), so most likely she will pay for her trip to SF and have my pay for her trip to Seattle :D.

Hopefully the artsy job will pay for both trips....hopefully.

Yeah, if the morons who populate the SCAD campus stop pummeling my face into the pavement for a little while.

Shiny, I will totally buy you a beer should you make it to PaizoCon. And have a plethora of cookies available. *hugs*

I don't touch alcohol, but I appreciate the sentiment. I just purchased my 3-day badge and banquet pass, so things are probably going to work out.

Your beverage of choice then. But there will be cookies regardless. :D

Coming home to kisses and smiles from my wife and 5 month old son. Without fail that makes my day no matter how crappy my job can be.

Also, good strong coffee during exam periods. Good stuff.
