Clean bill of health from the surgeon .... Not too shabby really; three months ago I was busy confronting my severely moved up mortality, and today I feel pretty darn good. It’s nice to not think about being dead “real soon” every day.
My sisters having a baby! :D I'm gonna be an uncle!
Sweet. My best friend's sister is having a baby, too.

I was thinking pederasty.
"Yeah, the guy had to go door to door telling everyone he was a ped-er-ast."
"What?"
"That creep can roll, man."
"Yeah, but he's a pervert, Dude."
"Yeah..."
"No, seriously. He's a sex offender, with a record. Did six months in Chino for exposing himself to an eight year old."
"Hmm."
"When he moved to Hollywood, he had to go door to door, telling everyone he was a pederast."
"What's a pederast, Walter?"
"Shut the f@&+ up, Donny."
"Are you ready to be f&*#ed, man? I see you rolled your way into the semis. Dios mio, man. Liam and me, we're gonna f##% you up."
"Yeah, well, that's, like, your opinion, man."
"Let me tell you something, Pontero. You pull any of your crazy s&%+, you flash a piece out on the lanes...I'll take it away from you, stick it up your ass and pull the f#$+ing trigger 'til it goes click."
"...Jesus."
"You said it, man. Nobody f+%%s with the Jesus."

My grandmohter melted down her first engagement and wedding rings into a really neat silver pendant. It reminds me a tiny meteoroid or something. It's such a nice gesture and I think it's super cool!

I thought that I would have to replace my Heating and AC unit. Total price quoted to me was around $6000. Well, one of my friends referred me to another person. $50 and a replacement capacitor later and my AC unit is working again! YAY!!!
Got past a year-long writer's block and am once again working on my homebrew posts. It literally feels like a gigantic weight has been lifted off of my cerebellum. I can do simple math again. Joy.

Keegs, this line is all I can think of when I see ads for You Don't Mess With the Zohan.
Vacation! I'm almost on it! See you cats in a week.
I'm off to sit in a tree across from the Paizo bunker with a pair of binoculars for a week. Joshua Paizo-brand-teasered the wrong guy. You call it corporate espionage. I call it payback.
I love my puppy and pretty blond punks and sunny happy days.

My newborn son, (Kaden Joseph(for his grandfather)). Whom we just had to coax into breastfeeding by giving him breast milk via a syringe. There are no words to say just how satisfying and perfect this feels. I always thought it wouldn't be this big a deal. I have been a "stepdad" on and off (through various gf's and now my wife who had a little girl when we met) for almost 10 years now. Needless to say it did very little to prepare me for seeing him for the first time. I think I am going to be on a sleep deprived cloud nine for at least a week or quite possibly the rest of my life. Nothing can compare with this. High school graduation... ha. Not even graduation from Marine Corps Boot Camp (which made my grandfather cry, when no one in my family can even remember having ever seen him cry). Getting my bachelors yeah right. Even getting married pales in comparison. That such a small thing could have such an impact on my life is amazing.
There is nothing I am more proud of and I hope I feel that way for the rest of my life. Goodnight everyone. I think I will try to catch some sleep. (I so hope he sleeps good)

They're actually cheaper than a lot of the good art schools out there.
Hey Mr. Shiney. Even though I really do not want a room mate, I do have a spare room available if you need to use it. ~shrugs~ I have also been a colledge student, so I understand how much everything costs.
Chocolate made out of endangered species? I'm so in. The only down side I'm seeing here is it is bound to get progressively more expensive as my favorite flavors die out.

Ok. I figure that us Paizoites should stick together since we are like a family. ~grins~ A very wierd family.
While in Iraq, I "broke" my Mac. I had gotten the power cord wrapped around my leg, and when I stood up I pulled it onto the floor. Fortunately I didn't crack the screen or anything. The machine would power up, the screen would backlight, but no video.
I started working through the homeowner's insurance, but that started to be ugly. Decided just to call Apple.
The DHL guys picked up my Apple yesterday noon. I checked the computer status, it's ALREADY repaired, ALREADY on its way back to me, and it's all COVERED by warranty!
We got to go and measure the rooms for the new house last night. It's so big. Heck, we have one whole room we don't actually know what to do with. That's just cool.

I just had to share this news.
When I asked about introducing my 6yo twin daughters to gaming in another thread, a few of the other board members pointed me in the direction of Firefly Games' Faery's Tale. It definitely struck me as a good game to start the girls off. But that's not even the best part!
In the process of starting up this game of Faery's Tale for my daughters, my wife has agreed to join in! We've been married for 8 years, and she has never expressed an interest in gaming at all. (It's always been "I'm glad you enjoy it, but it's not my thing.") But since it's with the girls, she's decided to give it a try. I finally get to game with my best friend and teach my kids gaming at the same time!

We start this weekend, and I can't wait!
That's awesome, keep us updated on how it goes. I was so nervous when I explained to my wife(then my girlfriend) about D&D. She had thought it was a boardgame but said she'd give it try. That was three years ago and she still loves to play!
Are you entirely sure that it's a good thing, though?
No? Didn't think so.

YAY for good days! If all goes well, within the next week or two, I should have gotten a debt consolidation loan for my top two credit card bills and a loan. Plus the amount that I owe per month will have dropped by around $200 !!!

Thanks, Jack! I ran the game on Sunday. My wife wasn't feeling well and couldn't play, but the girls and I played and had a lot of fun. I've posted an annoyingly long recap in this thread.
My wife will likely be playing the next time (hopefully this weekend). I didn't have to explain too much to her about RPGs when we met. She knew people from school who played and she always had a positive impression of the game, though she didn't really understand what it was all about. She always says that all she really knows about gaming is that people who play RPGs are almost always really smart.
She has a tendency to downplay her own intelligence and also isn't really big into the fantasy genre, so she's never been interested in playing. Now that the girls are playing, though, she says she's willing to give it a try. I doubt it will ever be a big thing for her, but it'll be fun for us to play as a whole family, I think.
I had a pain in my knee for a few weeks, but it's quite gone now.
I am still limping a bit, just enough for the ladies at work to look at me and go :
- Aaaaw, poor thing...
To which i usually answer :
- Naaah, i'm fine, the pain is quite gone now.
- Aaaaw...
