I am relieved that we got to the bottom of that. Celestial Healer is definitely one to be watched, and if Taig hadn't been paying attention, the countdown on his Mayan doom device would have been set into motion by the program he had trojaned into FB. As it stands, Heathy's attempts to keep everyone is a state of high alert, using the Saints' superbowl victory as a cover, will keep him distracted while Taig removes the coding that caused what will be henceforth known as "Friendgate." "Celestial" Healer? Maybe in a Heaven's Gate sense...

PS You might think that I had overlooked the part about the aliens. To reveal how the aliens' kidnapping of AZ would have affected our doomsday-response scenario would be to play further into the hands of CH's intelligence-gathering, and I will not do so on these boards.

What could aliens use a zombie for?

Careful, CrimJ, loose lips sink planets.

I'm not sure what there evil plan is, although I did hear that they went through 8 others before settling on one they liked.

I don't know. He hadn't taken his evening coffee when he made that statement. He might have been confused. :)

Me confused? NEVER!

It's slow as hell (pun intended). May play with later.

Well there is that one

rumor.:

The Associated Press

* http://www.toledoblade.com/

TOLEDO, Ohio - A strip club in Ohio has raised $1,000 for Haitian earthquake relief during what was billed as "Lap dances for Haiti."

Marilyn's on Monroe in Toledo donated the $10 cover charges collected Saturday to ISOH (I-S-O-H)/IMPACT, an organization based in suburban Perrysburg that provides food and clothing for Haiti.

Marilyn's general manager Kenny Soprano says his establishment had been looking for a reason to hold a charity fundraiser even before the quake, as a way to improve its image. He says you don't hear much about strip clubs giving back to the community.

ISOH/IMPACT CEO Linda Greene doesn't have a problem with where the money came from. She says her group appreciates any donations to help Haiti.

There are some things in life for which there simply is no response...

I just applied for the Volusia County School District in Florida. They claim to have 500 openings. Maybe I can at least get an interview.

What part of Florida is that?

Urizen wrote:

Its the county where Daytona Beach is located.

(Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Tales Subscriber)

Ah, sounds much warmer. And the eye candy during Spring Break.

Plus the Daytona 500 is the Super Bowl of NASCAR. It's the perfect place for a NASCAR fan like me to live.

How far away is that from where you are now?

It's a good ways. I'd say I could most likely drive it in 5 days.

I have noticed that the more some people talk the more they confirm their own prejudices rather than expose those of others.

So, you're saying we should reconvene in the Feminism thread?

Oh what did I miss?

The prison thread.

I won't stick a virtual toe in either one of those threads, but I would send my little blue servant S-urion in...

I'll FB you the details.

And sent.

My daughter got straight A's, so we're taking her out to dinner to celebrate. I'll be back later (after I catch up on all the posts I've missed for the past 6 hours).

bye to everybody that said bye

Wow, I'm full of important things to say today. :)

Interesting bit at work today:

While calibrating an instrument today I discovered that I had a ground discontinuity and traced it to a wire that was attached to a lug in a small space between the housing and the ribbon cable spool.

I know, you (the reader) are thinking, [sarcasm]Wow Thing, that is really exciting.[/sarcasm] But, the point is that the senior tech suggested that I remove a split ring that held the spool in place so that I could lift out the spool in order to gain access to the screw holding the lug in place. Got it? Within this spool was an about 50' length of compressed steel "tape" spring whose purpose is to help retract the ribbon cable. I mentioned this to the senior tech but he seemed to not think it would cause a problem...Let's just say that the "tape" spring sort of "exploded" all over the place as I lifted the spool. :) It was quite a bit to handle...

The only upside to today is I did over $1100 in production, so my cut is $227 for the day. Damn I'm tired though.
