Damn. Shadowrun/Catalyst Games finally puts together an official forums and I officially sell my soul to it. Doesn't hurt that I got "FastJack" as my avatar/handle.
God, I'm such a fanboi for that game. Even more than Pathfinder and Forgotten Realms combined.

AAAAAAAAGH! I'm so angry, right now!
I just got a new desktop for my wife. It was delivered on Thursday but I've been out to sea and just got a chance to set it up. Somehow, I managed to order the d****d thing without a wireless network adapter installed, so I can't connect it to the internet. The adapter that I have for our old computer won't work, even though I've downloaded the drivers for Windows 7. Stupid computer says it doesn't recognize the device.
I'm sure my neighbors think I'm insane. The air conditioner broke while I was away and won't be fixed until later next week, so all our windows are open, and I'm sure they heard me cursing at the infernal device.
All of this would only be mildly irritating if I hadn't had such a crappy day at work. I'm getting tired of being kicked in the gonads because of miscommunications, failure of my people to properly report equipment casualties, and the general lack of initiative and motivation they typically show.
Grrrr...
At least I'm at home with my family. One of my daughters is away at her first sleep-over...Not sure I like having to deal with another milestone that reminds me my little girls are growing up, either.
Thanks, Ashe. There is no LAN connection in that office (some weirdness with my AT&T U-verse install), but I suppose I could move the thing down to another room for the time-being. I'm online with Dell customer support to find the right wireless adapter card. That's a frustration in and of itself.
Yeah, been there too...
Good luck!

Okay...I'm about to fall asleep in front of the computer. Gotta turn in.
Same here. We opened up the windows yesterday before coming down to Cincy for the weekend (the third of four consecutive ones) and her parents live out in the boonies. Ragweed hell.
Sneezy. I hate September. The weather is beautiful and the pollen count is high. *ACHOO!*

Morning, all!
Well, I survived the night without air conditioning. (Small victory, considering my lovely ladies--by which I mean my wife and daughters--have been living without that comfort for the past several days.) Can't wait until the a/c part arrives this week.
Anyway, today's looking better. Need to do a bit of reading as research for my submission to Wayfinder #4, wherein I'll be revealing a bit more of our intrepid heroes' history, particularly as it relates to their nemesis, Ashrii, the spirit naga, as they brave the dangers of Mwangi.
Okay. Who would win. Chuck Norris vs. Bruce Lee vs. Paris?

Heh. I could do the backward running thing, but it's very taxing and I'm trying to keep my sights on the future.
Mac, your question isn't really fair, because I'd just end up dominating their feeble minds and having them fight each other for my amusement. Besides...there's the problem with Bruce being dead and all...so I'm back to that whole altering time problem, again.
Morning folks. Hope you all have a good day. I'm suspecting mine will go well for the most part, although I know it's going to suck at some point today.
AWRIGHT Folks- Time for me to get out of here. Hope to be picking up one comic and one new initiative tracker today from manhattantown- I'd do it tomorrow but I'm not sure if I"m going to the second meeting for my job, my weekly game, or what. Here's hoping everyone has a WONDERFUL day.
I started buying the terrain features from warhammer, I think the painting assembling, will help me clear my mind on off nightsThe stuff is only like $40 a pop, and you get like a grove of trees or a hill. So I'm actually looking forward to building up my 3d wilderness terrain.
Once you get going it is easier and way cheaper to just build your own terrain. Let me know if you need any ideas.
I've been meaning to get back into putting Gundam kits together again. They really do help to get my mind off of things. I'm thinking I'll pick up a few more kits at next week's con and see if I can get into it again.
ANd with that, I'm off for the weekend, folks. Here's hoping everyone has an AWESOME weekend!!!
Tomorrow is Ptolus, Sunday is Darklight Sisterhood. Will have updates on Monday, let me tell you.
Now they cloned Freehold DM, where did he put that baseball bat?
*Runs in, steals all the baseball bats, the leaps to safety before the explosion!*
...It feels like rats fleeing a sinking ship. We've lost nearly half our staff in the past month or two and are having difficulty replacing them. More work is being dumped on me and my review was something along the lines of "I know that we haven't helped you out at all with your job and that we've put a lot of responsibility on you, but you haven't done a very good job with all the extra crap we've given you so no raise this year"....
Spoiler:
Ah, the punishment for busting ass on more work with no help... no good deed goes unpunished. F*ck*ers! I really hope something better and less stressful comes along soon; you don't deserve those unhealthy work conditions as reward for your years of dedicated busting ass.

The problem is that this is very real for me right now. :-(
Had a pretty good weekend. It's nice to be gaming again. Right now we are going through the Sunless Citadel with Pathfinder characters. As I said, it's nice to be gaming again, but I am learning that I REALLY hate confusing (and long) dungeon crawls. I'm giving the DM some more time, but I may be taking on the reins of DMing again soon. (And actually looking forward to it...)

Anyone on the list collect and read comic books. Just cruious, but I would like to see a show of hands.
Currently we have a number of TPBs (Star Wars especially, but also Fables, Elf Quest, and a few X-Men related) and about 2-3 "long whites" -- my wife has a good collection of the Oz comics that came out and I still have a number of "X" related books -- mostly stuff from the '90's. There were a lot of books I wished I had kept -- but I also don't regret selling the books off.
I used to have a copy of X-Men #1. Found it in the mid eighties in a box of comics my older brothers had left behind when they moved out and it was in great shape. Kept it for years, but somewhere down the line it disappeared. :-(
Is everyone enjoying their Sunday?
We are so far. Rode out to Dunkin' and grabbed donuts and coffee, and later today we have a birthday party to attend. One of my best friends son's just turned 9. Should be a fun time.
Bummer though, that I couldn't find time to visit with Sebastian or Paris. Sorry, dudes. My schedule with big time loco.
But there is hope (or despair, take your pick) - there's always Paris' own ship that I should one day have to visit, which would bring me out again for another visit.
*sobs
Lurking makes it difficult to remember where you live. :S
That's why you become a stalker, so you ALWAYS know where they live.
Meh, I give it some props. The acting and plot sucked, but the concept design was done by Wayne Barlowe. That has to count for [i]something/i].
Hey at least it looked awesome in 3D right guys?........*cries for wasting her money*
Never saw it in 3D. 3D movies make my eyes hurt and give me vertigo.
My friend Mick went to see Avatar in IMAX 3D while on acid, and he said it was pretty good.
I didn't have high hopes for it so I honestly said hey even if the story is crap at least the fight scenes would be cool to watch in 3D. What a waste of 3D.
I'm sorry you didn't care for it. I found the movie a bit long and a little cheesy, but the action made up for it. I really don't see where all the Avatar hate I've been encountering lately is coming from.

I'd say something smarta$$, but I'm a Denver and Texans fan. [shrug]
