I got Point Lookout and Broken Steel yesterday...

Osirion (RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32)

And off I go to bed.

Good morning or good night as the case may be.

So, did the other thread finally crap out? Or, did Gary shut it down for the sake of everyone's sanity?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales, Battles Case Subscriber)

Gary killed it yesterday, Aberzombie. We got to 570 pages and the boards started going wonky. How important is it who got the final word? Members may be arguing that for weeks to come. What they won't be arguing is who got it.

Point lookout is fun. Unless the gorram smugglers kill Pananda, then you got nowhere to buy/sell. :P

Damn! Oh well, maybe by the time we get this thread up that high, Gary will have fixed it so we can go further.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales, Battles Case Subscriber)

We give Gary something to shoot for.

So...everybody notice Judy Bauer?

Yeah, I saw that. I was thinking to myself ... who's this individual that graces my screen as an editor for Paizo....and not knowing who the heck she is. Where's that yoda when we need the scoop?

I'm gonna get some sleep now. I didn't sleep too well last night and tomorrow's going to be busy at work. I found out that I will be travelling to Houston for a site install on Monday.

Houston? Have fun in Texas! Go see the Narnia exhibit. And visit Half Price Books. Can't remember the name of the game store that our our Paizans hang out at.

Thanks! When I get to my hotel Sunday night, I'll have to check back with you guys.

I just hope that I get some spare time while I'm there. My last trip was not so good. :S

Welcome to Texas Taig. You are going to have great weather in the Houston area next week. Upper 60's - lower 70's and mostly sun. How many days will you be here?

Thanks. I land on Sunday (dunno the time yet) and I leave Wednesday morning. It's a short trip.

Not that I really care about such a thing. :)

Yeah, but with fluffing you never really mind missing lunch, so that can free up time for you to finish writing your novel during breaks on set.

Apple Maple Raisin Pie

Ingredients:
CRUST
• 2 2/3 cups Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
OR 1 stick Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening Sticks
• 7 to 8 tablespoons ice cold water

FILLING
• 9 cups peeled, cored, quartered apples (about 2 1/2 pounds)
• 1/2 cup raisins
• 3/4 cup Hungry Jack® Microwave Ready Regular Syrup
• 1/4 cup Pillsbury BEST® Unbleached Flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
• Milk

Preparation Directions:
1. HEAT oven to 375ºF.
CRUST
1. COMBINE flour and salt in medium bowl. Cut in shortening using pastry blender or two knives just until mixture forms pea-sized chunks. Sprinkle with water, one tablespoon at a time. Toss lightly with fork until dough forms a ball. Divide dough into two equal parts. Press between hands to form two 5 to 6-inch "pancakes."
2. FLOUR "pancakes" lightly on both sides. Roll one "pancake" between sheets of waxed paper (or plastic wrap) on dampened countertop for bottom crust. Peel off top sheet of waxed paper. Trim 1" larger than upside-down 10 inch pie plate. Flip into pie plate. Remove other sheet. Trim edge even with pie plate. Moisten edge of pastry with water.
FILLING
1. TOSS apples and raisins in large bowl with syrup, flour, salt, cream, cinnamon and cardamom. Mound filling in pie shell.
2. ROLL top crust same as bottom using second "pancake" to 1/8-inch thick. Peel off top sheet of waxed paper. Flip onto filled pie. Remove other sheet of waxed paper. Trim 1/2 inch beyond edge of pie plate. Fold top edge under bottom crust. Flute. Brush crust with milk. Cut slits in top crust for steam to escape.
3. BAKE 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours, or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cover pie loosely with foil to prevent over-browning, if necessary. Cool at least 1 hour before serving.

Yield: 8 to 10 servings
Prep Time: 20 min
Cook Time: 1 hrs 30 min

My second thought... Boy, am I dense.

Andoran (RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16)

Off to my monthly writer's meeting. I'll be back in 3 hours.

I hope things are going well for everyone. Well, I see that Solnes is missing Moorluck, Studpuffin hates his job, and Woodraven is not feeling well, so, um nevermind.

Apropos of nothing, the President is in town today. The airport and the interstates are shut down.

You should self-publish. All the best authors do it!
