I'll be a special guest at Dragonmeet in London on November 28th of this year. I'd like to have some "walking around" money on the trip, so I've decided to put some of my extra RPG and D&D collectibles on a "London Fund" eBay auction/fundraiser.

Please take a minute to check out my auction. There's a lot of really rare stuff there, including some GREYHAWK oddities, the ultra-rare DUNE: CHRONICLES OF THE IMPERIUM RPG, and other really fun stuff.

I also tried to include some fun anecdotes in the product descriptions, to make reading them worth your while.

Check out the London Fund auction today!

(Please note that this auction is not in any way affiliated with Paizo, which is why I'm posting here in the off-topic area.)

Could you please clarify which country 'London' is in, please, to cruelly dash the hopes of those of us who live in a country with a London which you will not be attending? I saw 'London', and almost fired off a round of emails to some fellow UK citizens alerting them to your presence on our shores, before it occured to me that there might be places called 'London' in other countries, too... :(

Edit:
As far as I can make out, this event appears to be in London, the UK?

A simple google search indicates that Dragonmeet will be held in London, in the great United Kingdom across the sea. It seems you're in luck, Mr. Evans.

The actual, for real London. In the United Kingdom.

*whistles and books tickets for dragonmeet.*

Oh... Dune: Chronicles of the Imperium RPG. Truely awesome game. *Digs through sofa for money*

We've got somebody from our Pathfinder Society UK Grand Lodge organising some Pathfinder Society games for Dragonmeet too. So if this gets Pathfinder fans interested in attending then there will be some games for them to play too. Erik I'm sure you'd be welcome ;-)

Cool - where is Dragonmeet (though on reflection, I suspect I shall be in Spain on the 28th)?

Kensington Town Hall.

I was meant to be in London by now, in which case I'd have been able to go to Dragonmeet. But the darn High Commission got my Visa wrong and it's now stuck off in another country as they try to fix it. Meaning I likely won't get there until December. Oh, woe is me. *sulks*

On a less self-indulgent note there's some cool looking stuff here. I'll keep an eye on the auctions!

Good luck with the sales, Erik!

Best of luck!

Eat it, Ontario!

Are these auctions available to buyers in the UK?

Given the prices, you probably want to add a kidney or two to the listing if you want to have any "drinking beer" money while you are over here :(

On the up side, we do have some very good beers.

Don't forget, if you have the time and somewhere with internet access over here, you may be able to watch some recent BBC programmes on the BBC Website...

I know that's the motivation for me to spend the time and money to travel across the Atlantic. And certainly the best use of one's time while in a foreign country. ;-)

Sure, fly over to catch the latest Doctor Who episode ;-)

Living in Manhattan can make one jaded ($9 beers, $15 mixed drinks, anyone) but even London gave me pause ($60 taxi, ouch).

Of the major cities I have visited only Tokyo may give London a run for the money in ... spending your money. Although I heard Moscow is up there as well.

Good luck Erik !! I put in two bids and sent the link to friends.

And just have Nicolas Logue buy the drinks.

Ireland can be pretty expensive, Dublin's Grafton Street was the world's most expensive high street for awhile.

Erik

Great to hear you are coming to Dragonmeet. I just added Dragonmeet as a new event - with 2 scenarios planned for new players. I guess with this news I shouldn't worry any longer to fill the tables.
This will be my very first outing as a GM in an organized game. I would be honored if you drop by to say hello.

Thod

Hey cool - I actually have a small connection to the Dune game!

I worked with Last Unicorn Games back in the day. I mainly worked on their ARIA: Canticle of the Monomyth RPG, but I also worked a little on the HERESY: Kingdom Come CCG and a few other odds and ends. Right around the time they got the license to do the Star Trek RPG (which meant moving across the country to LA to be closer to Paramount ... and which pretty much ended my working relationship with LUG, since I did not go out there with them) they also started work on the Dune game.

Some time after they were out in California, WOTC aquired the company. That's how WOTC came to put out this game, I assume.

If you look at one of Eric's scans in the auction, you can even see the logo I designed for Last Unicorn Games. Kind of cool to be a tiny part of something that is "near legendary status among game collectors"!

Oh, by the way - good luck on your auctions Eric!!! Have fun in London !!!
