I think the duskblade myself.

Ftr 7/Mu 11/ Elf from 1e. :)

Taldor (Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber)

I've never played a Duskblade but I thought the Hexblade was a lot of fun.

Multiclass Swashbuckler/Sorcerer, or maybe the Battle Sorcerer from UnA with the Battle Caster feat and mithral full plate.

Is it pretty elegant?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales, Battles Case Subscriber)

What's the crunch to fluff ratio?

I hate that word fluff. Please don't use it in my thread.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales, Battles Case Subscriber)

Says the elegant gish....did you post a preferred term?

Gishes are OK. I prefer frumbaggy guzzworglers though.
I find them to be more snugglykins puffybaggers than your average run of the mill piggly gulpers.

Brump.

It comes in strawberry too!!!!!! Hold on to your crust, Nilla Waffers!

You are soooooo full of fail.

I was thinking... sumptuous.

Sword'n'board type sumptness?

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales, Battles Case Subscriber)

Failure never tasted so flnffy...

Flnffy. that'll work. It's a good woody word.

Spanky the Leprechaun wrote:

No.

That's a big, tall glass of fail juice.

[Through flnffy mouthfuls of waffers]

You just like it because it's Norwegian.

His roommate is.

Abjurant Champion, in all its broken glory.
d10 HD, full BAB, full spellcasting, automatic quickened spells, automatic extended spells, improved caster level, improved AC, and a bunch of other abilities besides.

And the prerequisites are easier than the ones for Eldritch Knight.

About the only thing they don't get is full clerical turning and sneak attack progression. Or anchovies.

Danged Bloody Norweges trying to make all our words woody all the time, give me a good tinny word any day of the week.

You're still bitter about the "one anchovy per slice" Papa John's fiasco, aren't you? ;)

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot.

The best "gish" class is the one who can recite all of the lyrics from the Smashing Pumpkins album of the same name.

Sorry, every time I hear the term "gish", I think of that album or Lilian...

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion Subscriber)

I really prefer the duskblade. I know the flavour text says 'elves' but all the doom and gloom spells, it really says 'githyanki'.

I have a watered-down gith race in my homebrew campaign world, and their favoured classes are monk or duskblade ...

Hey HD, I'd already called a soundtrack for this thread...

Taldor (Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber)

personally I hate gish classes, the hexblade and spellthiefs were the only ones I liked and that was because they felt more like the paladin and ranger rather than a gish, i.e. their own class with thier own unique abilities, that just got some weaker versions of other class abilities tacked on.

Unless you consider the paladin a Gish, in that case, the paladin is my favorite Gish.

I'm not going to sit for this sockpuppetry in my thread. I know that's you, The Authority.

Rubber Soul? Really? :)

That's right!!!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales, Battles Case Subscriber)

Yep. What did you expect from a Greenman?

It's my thread, and I don't even know what that is. So I ain't havin it for the soundtrack. It might be too tinny for all I know.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales, Battles Case Subscriber)

Norwegian Wood, by definition, is not tinny.

Now let's yammer on about chaotic neutral, since I'm the only one who truly understands it.

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:

Except for that Ironwood where that Iron Witch was.

You need to be up more on your Norse Mythology flnff.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales, Battles Case Subscriber)

This has been demonstrated. [Takes up position of auditor.]
EDIT: Wouldn't that be irony, not tinny?

No but it is by definition aweful

Auditor. Audit...audi*t*errrrr...no, too tinny.

There is that CA feat you can take to get a familiar as long as you are a spellcaster.

So you can get an anchovi.*

Spoiler:

*A DM may rule you have to be in an aquatic campaign (or a pizzatic one).

[Whew] For a minute there, I thought you said awful.

Kirth Gersen wrote:
Abjurant Champion,

Can you get into that from Duskblade? Perhaps Duskblade 4 or 5 with a level of Battle Sorcerer? 'Cause that might be hawt.

Best core 'gish,' straight Cleric or Druid.

For worst core 'gish' I'd say, Bard.
