I got a sweater.
It's a nice one, with some Italian name; it was cheaper than it was supposed to be. Waaaay cheaper. WalMart cheap. It was supposed to be spensive.
And this lady at work, she gave me a tin of cookies; I thought they was danish butter cookies and I opened it up and it was a plethora of home baked cookies of all manner.
NOBODY cooks and bakes as well as my grandmother did, but this lady is on the same nebulous plateau as my grandmother. She's got a cookie baking kung fu is STRONG. MMMMMMMMMMMM........these are primo da shiznit.

Bought myself a new kitchen table set and some Legion related items....

A few comics

2 action figures

1 Superman shirt

2 Legion Hero clix

The Hero/Champions 5th edition revised game

6 blank dice

Also got a blanket, a giant pillow, and some fragrance emitting things to make the house smell like cinnammon and most likely, some money later today.

~grabs the duck tape and tapes KC's mouth shut~ There, I just got my Christmas Present! ~GRINS~

Merry Christmas Everyone!

As far as physical loot goes, literally nothing. :)

As far as gifts go, though, I got another year of the wonder and excitement of life, and no deaths among those I care about during 2008. I'd count that pretty high as a gift, myself. Many thanks to the Giver. :)

Merry Christmas, all!!!!! :)

The Good--The Mummy movie 3 pack. A box of peanut butter fudge. An undercounter CD/radio.
The Bad--A tweaked back. 4 hours of sleep. A stressed-out wife that is driving me nuts.

ouch.

Oh.
AND I got 11 days off from work.

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.

Shadow Lodge (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion Subscriber)

So for my birthday/christmas I got $100 and Guitar Hero: World Tour (Yay, Hotel California).

Today I got Tales of Vesperia. My brother got Left 4 Dead, and some car tools.

I bought myself B&N's complete Lovecraft fiction-1098 pages of weird gorgeosity for only 12.95, and edited by S.T. Joshi, whose knowledge alone is worth the price of admission.

Shriek: An Afterword, by Jeff Vandermeer

Decemberists t-shirt and concert DVD
Sixth season of The Simpsons DVD
Absolute Watchmen hardcover comic
Cash that I'm debating putting toward an Xbox 360.

Made out like a bandit, I must say.

PS2

A coffee scented candle
A nice set of heavy bronze and marble bookends
Amazon gift certificate
DVD set of season 1 of Carnivale
DVD set of the D&D cartoon
Bottle of Valentina hot sauce
Bottle of Satan's Blood hot "sauce" (if you can call an oil extract of capsaicin a sauce)
Bottle of Ke Ke Key Lime Liquour
A cute fox puppet
A "Throwzini" kitchen knife holder

And courtesy of my company - a laptop (Dell D620) when they gave away all the laptops and desktops from last year before new corporate standards made them all invalid. So good writing laptop in awesome shape.

The neatest thing I got was some shelves made out of old typesetting drawers, for displaying miniatures.

Also got shirts reading "The Dice Are Trying To Kill Me" and "I Void Warranties".

Mario Kart for the Wii.. and the joy on my son's face when he saw all the toys he got for xmas. :P

Castle Whiterock boxed set
6 Forgotten Realms books (2 more and my 3.0/5 collection is complete)
A couple PS3 games (Disgaea 3 and Enchanted Arms)

A USB powered missile turret (yes!)
15 pounds (not kidding) of salt water taffy
A half-dozen chocolate oranges
A dremel (use it on my minis to clean off cast lines)
And finally:
A tasty roast cooked by my mum eaten around the table with the family.

I may seem a bit spoiled but this is the families' last Christmas together (little brother's moving out for college and mom's just moving out) so my parents kind of went overboard.

Spore and accompanying guidebook, scented oil heater in the shape of a human skull, and a pile of candy. Big dinner on the way...

Well, my husband and I got Rockband 2 as a mutual Christmas present. In addition to that I got a fold-flat speaker for my laptop, an iTunes gift card, godiva chocolates, and a digital photo keychain. All stuff I wanted, so I'm pretty happy.

Socks and Underwear!

So happy now that I don't have to wear biblical socks.

edit: Oh yes, and how could I forget... the book "How to s**t in the Woods". No I am not on the naughty list, we are just rather frugal this year with Christmas.

You can't celebrate Christmas with that avatar name.

A couple of shirts, a couple of gift cards, a digital camera, the third DVD for the anime Jinki: Extend, and the book, "Dinosaurs: The most complete, up-to-date encyclopedia for dinosaur lovers of all ages."

For dino fans, I highly recommend the book. the illustrations, family trees, and genus list of all known dinosaurs (with estimated sizes and weights) makes the book a must have.

Coffee table size book? I wonder if this is the same book I saw in the store and have been looking at?

(Pathfinder Campaign Setting Superscriber)

well for not wanting nothing I got

$50 bucks from my mom

Family wise-

We got a 60 inch big screen tv. The kicker is, it was totally free!!! Neighbor of the in-laws was upgrading his tv, so he was just gonna toss it out. Nothing wrong with it, of course it's not high def or anything but hey it's got built in theatre sound & that 60 inch screen. We also switched to Dish Network last Friday, so I kinda like having a totally new system to watch tv now.

The kids made out like bandits of course, from Transformers to Littest Pet Shop

Probably. It is about the size of a good reference book.

The book I saw was somewhere around 15-18" in height. Maybe an 1 1/2 inches thick or so, can't recall the cover though. Big print with big pictures?

A fun time was had at the fiance's parental units' domicile, complete with a trip to see a grand parental unit. Seeing the emotional reactions of her father we're paying his retirement until his actual retirement kicks in, her mother new-used vehicle being picked out and bought today and her brother providing him 2 years' almost-anywhere wireless internet for any laptop he has so he can finish out law school was the result of hard work over the past five months' time since we came out here to visit for a few days this past July. To my gaming group members : Jade does NOT need to know I've posted this, mkay, so keep yer pie holes shut on this matter until she mentions it herself. Jade's wierd / modest like that.

3 of my grandparents are long shuffled from this mortal coil, while the 4th is so advanced in her dementia/Alzheimers that she doesn't remember any one that is still alive, so this is rather a big deal for me on an emotional level.

It was also pretty rewarding to have distributed a trunk full of goodies that had been purchased during the course of the preceeding year, mostly little stuff, but all much appreciated by the recipeints having been on thier "stuff we'd like to get" lists.

A big box full of my favorite chips that are almost never carried on the shelves at home in NVa - when I do find them, they're in the crummy $1 baggies that are enough to just make you hungry. These might last 6 weeks. Maybe.

A "Skipper" penguin Beanie Baby. "Smile and wave boys, smile and wave." Probably my favorite gift. Thanks hun!

A set of blue-dyed fleece sheets for the bed ... mmmmm, comfy and warm.

A padded lap board and a spiffy wireless mouse for the gaming laptop.

A plethora of noggin covers (hats).

A pair of the hat-holder thingies so you can actually WASH your ball caps without having them completely deform in the process of getting cleaned.

Torsin and Ineptus earlier during the year have given me a coffee mug imprinted with "Mad GM", something about "When a player crits a villain, the GM kills a kitten. Think about the kittens!" and my Paizo avatar mugshot on it. They've also given me a T-shirt custom printed with a Pathfinder Beta cover art shot, Pathfinder in the upper left corner (as you view the shirt), Gamemaster along the bottom and of course - my avatar mugshot on the bottom right just after Gamemaster. Makes me feel all warm and squishy and stuff. :P Felt they deserved a mention here. The mug was a birthday present IIRC whilst the T-shirt was an early XMas present - or at least, that's how I remember it.

A stack of notebooks - I burn through notebooks like a kid does to a wad of cotton candy. Hopefully these will last longer than a few months... ^_^

Piratey goodness (a mug and a pair of goblets) finished out the swag pile, to go with the flag and plushy pirate ship I have at home. If I ever run Savage Tide or anything else pirate-themed again, I shall be prepared .. ARR!

Hope everyone had a Happy Holiday!!

I got som new clothes, Weird Al's Greatest Hits cd, The new Indiana Jones dvd, The Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives cookbook, and Transformers Classics Ironhide. Overall it was an excellent haul.

Edit: I also goy another six inches of snow. On top of the 44 inches we already had on the ground. I could have done without that. This is the worst winter on record here, so far.

Sadly, White and Nerdy is not on the cd. It was produced pre-White and Nerdy in fact. I would trade Living with a Hernia for W&N though.

When he used to perform it onstage, soon after writing it, he'd turn his back to the audience so they couldn't filch his technique. Little did he realize ZZ Top was also doing those taps (hammer on, pull off) since '73.

There was this applications guy at my work about a year ago; he had a talent contest video of his 14 y.o. son playing Eruption.
