Today is the last day to register to vote for the November 4 election in 21 states. If you are an American, and are not registered to vote, or are unsure if you are registered at your current address, or think you may have been purged from the voter rolls, please take five minutes to register or verify your registration! If you registered by mail, or at a campaign kiosk, please verify that they successfully turned in the paperwork. (In 2004, there was a scam at my university where an unknown group was running a voter registration drive and then throwing the forms away. Lots of people thought they could vote but were not registered.) Places to register/verify registration:
I don't care who you vote for (Obviously I have a preference, but that is not the point of this post.) If you are not registered, or have any doubt AT ALL about the validity of your registration, please take the 5 minutes to register. |
