Here's the deal: I've got fifteen items for people to find on the paizo.com messageboards. Some are easy. Some are not.

If you find one, reply with a link to the exact post. The post you link to must be dated *before* the item was added to the scavenger hunt (so you can't just make a new post that fits the description.)

You then get to create a new item to replace yours on the list. Try to make them challenging, but not impossible, because impossible items eventually make the game stop working.

Here we go:

  • Back to the Future: A post from the future
  • Blast from the Past: A post dated before the Paizo messageboards actually existed
  • A Gathering of Ninjas: A question that gets answered by three different people in less than ten minutes
  • Cookie Monster: Someone other than Lilith dispensing virtual cookies
  • Drive-By Smurfing: Somebody who genuinely didn't know about smurfs reacting to an accidental smurfing
  • The Inevitable: James Jacobs talking about chupacabras
  • The Totally Evitable: Sebastian being humble
  • Open All Night: Lisa Stevens answering a customer's question between 3 AM and 4 AM Pacific Time
  • Ha-Haa!: Kobold Cleaver getting smurfed
  • Color Matters: Somebody dinging a product for not being the color they'd they'd like
  • Long-Time Listener, First-Time Caller: The first post from somebody who now has several hundred posts
  • Martha Stewart Unliving: An actual, working recipe with a Golarion inspiration
  • You Asked for It!: Somebody requesting a new website feature that's granted within three days
  • Oops: A Paizo editor accidentally making a typo
  • Oops, I Did It Again: A Paizo editor intentionally making a typo

The Inevitable: James Jacobs talking about chupacabras

Continuing with the theme of inevitable: Heathansson's first Rickroll

Super-fun idea, Vic!

Blast From the Past

EDIT: new one to find:

Is This The Last One?: A discussion on balls and bowls.

Andoran (RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16)

That's one of my favorites (and it looks like it had some editing done to it):

Is This The Last One?

Here's a new one:

A special holiday: A thread celebrating a Paizo luminary

Andoran (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path Subscriber)

Yeah, I think it got caught up in an April Fool's Day prank.

A special holiday.

Riddle Me This: Who could whup Conan?

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Battles Case Subscriber)

Not sure if this counts, but it follows the rules:
Cookie Monster

So, Blaaarrrp: The First Appearance of Vomit Guy

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Battles Case Subscriber)

Ha-Haa still the funniest damn thing I've ever seen on these boards. It gives me great pleasure to bring back the shame.

So:
Shameless Plug: N'Wah's First Item Up for Sale Announced on Paizo

I think this was my first post.
wow, I was so serious.

Apparently quite a lot of things

So: Who has a propensity for tureens and marzipan?

He said hundreds, not thousands. And you're supposed to give us another bone to chase.

Sorry, boss, he's and old fleabag. You know what they say about teaching them new tricks.

:P

'Hundreds' is a subset of 'thousands,' so I'll forgive your benighted impudence in light of the travesty that is schools these days....
ogay;

somebody scrounge up fakey bawling somebody out about spelling a certain word wrong.

Drive-by Smvrfing (and a Ha-haa!, too, so I'll make an extra find)
Find a thread in which 'Fraggle Rock' is mentioned on the second post.
Find a thread in which KC gets locked up.

That's minion work.
Thanx.

Kobold Cleaver wrote:

Ugh, Kender.

Why won't a real troll let his kids read Dragon magazine?

Too easy.

What?: Find me an empty post.

So far I've only found you admitting you were wrong, but that's not the same as humility. Still looking.

Silver Crusade (Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber)

Open all night. There were actually a few like this that I found pretty quickly.

Neverending loop: A post that contains a link to itself.

    Vic Wertz wrote:

  • This has to count. Sebastian actually says, "I'm flattered that you would want my opinion."

EDIT: Prescient customer service: Find a post where James Jacobs answers a question before it is asked.

Silver Crusade (Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber)

    A gathering of ninjas.

    How about the opposite now...

Is anybody out there?: A thread where it takes 48 hours or longer for someone to reply to the initial post (excluding threads where no one ever replied).

(This is also a bit of a bump... I like the scavenger hunt!)

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Modules Subscriber)

One of the "oops" types is in the OP.

    D'oh!

So, it was one of those 'on purpose oops' types?

    Thats the ticket!
